I don't know. I want the Broncos to win, but I also don't want to put additional pressure on Bo and the team. I want them to do their best, let it all hang out, and leave it all out there on the field. Hopefully that'll lead to a win. As long as I know they fought hard, I can deal. I'll be disappointed if we lose, but I'll get over it. Why? Well, remember that Bo's done what he's done with 1 wide receiver, a seldom used tight end, no consistent running game, several rookies who are learning just like him, and a defense that isn't doing very well right now, aside from the pass rush and Patrick Surtain. Yet Bo got us to a winning season anyway. As for the attitude about Bo out there, yeah. There was so much criticism of him...more so than most rookies seem to get, so I root hard for him to succeed. There was nothing I enjoyed more last week than watching Bo throw that pick, then shake that off and throw a touchdown with 8 seconds left. It shows he's resilient and mentally tough. It was like he knows how to overcome things. That's what adversity taught him, and it's good to have that knowledge in his toolbox. I still don't want to add pressure. Oh, and by the way, my thought is that you are being negative. It doesn't mean I don't enjoy your show, but most of what you said seemed full of doubt. You're entitled to feel that way, of course, but you said you didn't want to put negativity out there, then you put it out there anyway. It's all good.
I'd say the season is already a large success. We got our QB! However, that does not mean the success can not end in catastrophic disappointment (if we choke Sunday). Let's get the W. Go Broncos!
Phil, I am curious why you are negative about Nix? There seems to be so much positivity around Nix from both the fans and the media. But you seem to have a different take. Educate us why you are hesitant or even outwardly negative?
I don’t mean to be negative. Sorry if my tone has skewed that direction. I guess I’m more cautious than others with my expectations. I like Bo, and I think he’s going to be the Broncos’ QB for a long time. Just not ready to be overly excited because I’ve seen young QBs have success that doesn’t last. It’s so hard to be consistently good in the NFL. He has a lot of upside. But also a lot to work on to be great. One aspect I love is his leadership. He’s very head strong and mentally tough. Love that. And his teammates respond well to him. That’s exciting. So not negative just cautious!
@@BroncosandBourbon Gotta agree with Phil. Bo has accomplished a lot in his first year and there is nothing but upside from here going forward. We need to add more supporting cast around him so he doesn't feel like he has to carry the load all the time. I believe these hardships that Bo and the team has gone through just strengthens the team even more. There's much to be thankful for this season as we made strides in the right direction. I still have the Broncos closing the season on a positive note. Go Broncos!!!
Love these interviews, great job. Very much like the bourbon reviews as I listen and sip.
Live ya, Phil.
It's always a good show. Keep it up right through the playoffs!😮
Phil, as always, it seems your takes are fair. Let's hope things go our way and that Bo continues growing into what we all hope he will be. #BoLieve
Yes, we need a fast start.
We need to control the entire game.
Great interview as always listening to it this morning. Popped open a woodford batch prof to celebrate the W today!
Love your show Phil, I just found you and subscribed, look forward to more. 👍
ZB!
Go Broncos. Please get a win and keep this thing going! 🧡💙 not going to be easy
One thing I sure like about Zack is his metaphors, he constantly pulls them out of nowhere and some are hilarious.
I really want to know what host he was talking about on ESPN radio lol
I agree why didn’t Zack have the gonies to name him!

How important is a fast start vs. the Chiefs?
Unfortunately the whole season comes down to one game. If they win, major success. If they lose, major failure.
What gets better then this!!! It's ay successful no matter what we found the one GODBlessBoNiX!!!

24-21 win over buffalo 🦬
We get a winning season, but if we lose to a Chiefs team that everyone says won’t be easy, led by a rejuvenated vet, it’s an epic collapse?

@@BroncosandBourbon Thanks for the detailed POV. Much appreciated!
"The fan" has been garbage. Almsot can't listen anymore. Kill You With Truth podcast is better than anything there.
