I’m pretty sure the V’s were still thinking about Alister disappearing in the fight. He didn’t actually return to the others until the new hotel was completed so who knows how long that actually took. Most overlords lost some of their arsenal this fight except from them who where just chilling.
Yeah lmao, I really would love to see Vox’s reaction to Alastor coming back almost immediately😂He was banking on it being another entire 7 years again. He’s like “anytime Alastor goes missing, it must be for 7 years, that’s just gotta be a pattern”
The first one banished from Heaven was an angel that took the form of a snake. Fitting that the first one redeemed back from Hell was a snake that gained the form of an angel.
If you go back and really look at the fight between Alastor and Adam... it's really not even a fight. Alastor never does more than annoy Adam. He got one good bap in Adam's face which didn't do anything and then threw him into the sign, which didn't do anything except annoy Adam enough to just go, "Okay, I'm done with you." Adam was playing around before then and Alastor didn't scratch him. The second Adam stopped playing, Alastor was FUCKED. Episode 7, Carmilla taught Vaggie to fight angels because the angels were arrogant and convinced of their own invincibility--and that's also Alastor's problem.
Tbf the only thing that can hurt the angels seem to be angelic weapons/powers, so no matter how powerful a demon is, they can’t hurt angels in any other way. All the overlords were surprised that angels could be killed or even hurt at all, implying that none of their powers would hurt even a common exorcist. Alastor was also using angelic weapons to kill the angels, if he had one when facing Adam it could have gone differently. Not defeat him, but definitely wound him badly
@@cortesyesI think that's a good point. He never had an angelic weapon in that fight and was mainly dodging attacks and playing mind games. So either he was disarmed and playing a stall game. Or he had some other motive.
And the drip is immaculate, it shows how he got into heaven with sacrifice for love. He has hearts on his design and his hat has Cherri bombs lip marks. The rizz on this man.
Vivzien had already announced two seasons when they were still looking for a financier and a streaming platform for the series, so that's for sure. The two-season requirement was also a partial reason why Netflix refused the partnership.
Disappointing, because Netflix would be the only way for me to watch these episodes aside from reaction videos, but yeah. Netflix doesn't treat their partners the best, from what I've heard, so good for VivziePop.
You said that alastor lost because he got sentimental. I don’t think so. Alastor is one heck of a powerful demon, but nowhere near as strong as someone like Adam. He is weaker than he thinks he is. He is cocky and that’s what we love about him. I think that he thought he could beat Adam, but he never really had a chance. In my opinion Alastors deal with Charlie will play a big role liberating him from his „leash“.
No. He might be powerful over other demons as a high ranking overlord but not over Angels especially someone like Adam. Hell, Lucifer, Charlie and Lilith are more powerful than him individually.
@@khrystian1Nothing about his agreement seems to lower his power, are you okay? Why do people keep trying to paint Alastor as invincible when there are so many demons above him? Delusional. 😂
That whole scene just about took me out. The combination of what he said and absolutely every facial expression made me laugh till I cried. I had to pause it till I could stop giggling.
I didn’t think Alastor “missing” would be a major plot point: 1. He needs Charlie for SOMETHING, if the hotel is without him it’s basically lying in wait for the V’s to attack 2. The Vox vs Alastor rivalry was built up way too much for it to only have one 2-min song 3. Alastor and his past have way too many unanswered questions for him to be missing for half a season
Yeah, as much as i adore this show. The pacing has harmed a lot of plot points. They introduced so much stuff early on that a lot of stuff didn't get resolved very well, yes its saved for season 2, but still, it's a flaw in the writing
@@shinjutsutruth5078That's true, which is why I believe there should have been more episodes. If not more, then maybe make the original eight longer. For a series that had so much hype built up, only eight episodes is a tad disappointing, don't you think? Even then, how it is now is incredible. It ended well in my opinion.
The funniest part is that she's likely the only one that would be able to get to jump on him like that because she's the only one crazy enough to be around when the king of hell and an elite heaven executor are fighting.
I never realized how poetic it is that Sir Pentious, a Snake Sinner, is the first soul to ever be redeemed in this show. So when Vivziepop announced he would be a more a prominent character than just a villian of the week, she basically said she had come up with better plans for him. Excellent writing choices were made here!!!!!!
To me it’s also poetic that Lucifer rocked the foundation of Heaven by appearing as a serpent in the garden and heralding a change for the worse. What rocks the foundation of Heaven - their beliefs, their principles, everything they thought was true - in this episode? ANOTHER snake in the garden - but this time, he heralds a change for the better.
Sir Pentious actually followed Adam's list of requirements to get into Heaven He acted selfless(he died to protect his friends) He didn’t steal And he stuck it to the man(Adam himself)
For the power vacuum thing, they know Alastor is injured, Carmilla lost a ton of her weapon supply, AND Rosie probably lost a lot of her cannibals! So even if Alastor manages to play it off like he's fine, The vVv's know Carmilla and Rosie r weakened~
Exclude Carmilla from that power vacuum. Throughout the show she and her daughters are always seen collecting any leftover angel weapons, and after this fight, I would think her supply might get bigger even. Rosie though, she did lose a lot of her people and unlike angelic steel, cannibals can't just be replenished. Alastor got a wake up call and almost died, him and Lucifer staying at the hotel together will be fun.
Just noticed that it's quite funny that sir pentious was killed by adam, and in doing so hits all of adams heaven checklist. Probably just overthinking it but I found that pretty funny.
Nope, I think you're absolutely correct. Sir Pentious never stole anything, he sacrificed himself, and he did so trying to save his friends from the First Man, who was a total a-hole gone crazy with power Don't steal Act selfless Stick it to the man
One of my favorite parts in this episode is Lucifer vs Adam. It's clear that Lucifer is toying with Adam, not taking him seriously. But the second Adams attack threatened Charlie, Lucifer goes full beast mode and beats the s**t out of him. This moment is second only to Pentious kissing Cherri bomb, and him making it into heaven.
"toying" is a strong word. Alastor was toying too, until he got literally one shot. All Lucifer did is, got 1 sucker punch at Adam, then simply dodged his attacks, which isnt anything impressive. He onlt was able to defeat him in a 2v1 with Charlie.
@@real_rutmen No, its clear that Lucifer had far more power than Adam. his attacks were nowhere close to hitting him. Yes Adam got in one punch but it did no damage to Lucifer at all. He only showed any power when Adams attack could have hurt Charlie.
There is a chance that similar to Sir Pentious will Adam be reborn as a demon. I think the power vacuum might be the big prove that they can fight back. Remember The Vs want the Heaven VS Hell war. I think season 2 will start with the Hotel actually having more clients since Charlie has earned the respect of Hell. idk if its gonna be people actually believing her about redemption or just people who are going to view it as joining her army.
so?...it seems that death is a key component in redemption, while the sinner does need to redeem themselves, they can't become a winner unleash their soul is released from their body via death so feasibly, that should also work the same way with Winners like Adam@@alexworoniecki7231
In the pilot / prior to now, Charlie had been pining for her mother (called her multiple times, no answer/out of service) who'd been missing for 7 years. Saw her dad as unreliable Now it turns out her mother's been dodging her (??) for that time, and Dad had a massive case of depression and is now the reliable one.
My theory is a bit wild i suppose, remember the angels had no idea what got you into Heaven, Adam wrote down what it took and Angel Dust had it. He just had to die again. I think Adam created a opening
I love the intentionality of Alastor's line in the song after he reappears to the others; "We're doing it with a smile", given his conversation in E7 with Charlie about the usefulness of a Smile as a tool. We got a peak behind the curtain in the ruins of his radio tower but now he's got his mask back in place and he's far from done. Also the visual imagery of Charlie going into battle with nothing but a giant heart-shaped shield she uses to defend Vaggie with was both adorable and just a perfect depiction of her character in a nutshell.
After this finale I no longer think Alastor has a deal with Lilith.I think the person who has a hold of his soul could be someone from Heaven maybe Eve or Sera
No, I still think it's lilith. The amount of power he has, I think he sold his soul for power without realizing the limitations of his contract. We see repeatedly in the series that he has rivalries with those that were once close to lilith. He's only sworn twice, once at Lucifer, once at Adam. And he's gone out of his way to antagonize both. He's also specifically targeting Charlie. He keeps talking her up, he keeps getting closer to her. He keeps speaking of her potential. I think he has a plan to get out of his chains, and I think he plans to have Charlie take over her mother's position leading hell and use his favor to free himself using her power allowing him to go nuts
16:20 my theory; Lilith doesn’t seemed too happy in that reveal there. She and Adam probably had made a deal 7 years ago, that he’ll only allow her to stay in heaven (alone) and leave Charlie and Lucifer out of the extermination.
@@terronprice2336well he's the one leading the exterminations so. At any rate the deal seems to have been with Adam as his death ended it. I hope she's not just some straight up villain, horrible mom, but im no longer confident
Maybe Lilith's thing was she will remain in their custody and stop encouraging her people IF if they don't go after her family. But, not trusting their word Lilith commanded Alastor to protect and keep an eye on Charlie, even form her own choices if he has to.
True! Velvets whole thing in episode 2 was to take the fight with the angels but there was pushback. I'm guessing she might be glad that there was someone who fought back, even if it was the princess of hell lol
The veil on alastors bravado has been lifted. He’s strong, sure, but he’s just not that guy. He’s desperate. I think that makes his character super interesting.
Interesting how Sir Pentious, upon arriving in Heaven, showed up not at the gates, but in front of the Seraphim, a species whose true form is covered in eyes. Like... I'm not saying Pentious became a Seraph, but... It is weird how that happened, especially considering his character design is ALSO covered in eyes. 🤔
"Dies for his friends" was in air quotes which means he was sarcastic. As soon as Alastor knew he couldn't win, he fled and he seems VERY upset that he can't be the best.
Imagining his enemies writing a mocking obituary, and gleefully wanting to dissapoint them doesn't mean he was sarcastic about his feelings, whatever they are. And he wasn't just beaten, he was critically injured and unable to continue fighting. (And *still bleeding* in his reprise after the battle ends.) Retreating in that situation is the correct thing to do.
Interesting that Pentious didn't even have to go through the Pearly Gates; he manifested right into the head seraphim's office. Seems like a massive "I told you so" and I loved it. Also, I wonder if Alastor would've had a better fight with Adam if he'd been using angelic weapons. I'm curious why he wasn't. Maybe he thought he was badass enough without them? Who knows.
Alastor is cocky but not even him would be stupid enough to think he could win against an elite angel. Maybe is that he is just not allowed to truly harm high ranked angels... like you know... Lucifer, or his daughter who happens to be a princess and half angel. There's a lot of mysteries around Alastor and he being the true final menace of the show would be a really interesting plot.
Alastor is such a mystery. It’s been confirmed that Alastor is more of an antihero like the fictional serial killer Dexter, if so then what is his goal? We know his soul is in possession of someone else but we still don’t know what drove him to make a deal, let alone who actually offered him that deal. Whatever it is, it’s been hinted that Alastor intends to guide Charlie to learn how to properly use her immense hidden power, not necessarily just for her sake but for his own.
Adam is not a mortal soul. As much as I hate to argee with him, the first humans were immortal. Yes they lost their immortality but that still explains why Adam doesn't consider his soul mortal
@@jonathanking9954 I am well aware, I never said otherwise. In fact I literally said the opposite when you asked which is why I said to you that it wasn't from real life. Learn context clues, they're useful
man why do people on the internet always have to be like "erm actually the bible is fiction" like dawg it's a comment section of a hazbin hotel reaction, get a hobby
Alastor hates being reminded that there are people out there who are way more powerful than him (like Lucifer and Adam). He's not untouchable, even if he might think that. He's not immortal. He lost it when he realized that he almost died (for someone else!!). Really, really interesting. On another note, Adam was such a good antagonist, I hope we still get to see more of him in some way:')
I love that they kept a radio station on the side of the hotel, even though they didn’t know if Alastor was alive or not. It looks so cool, as well. The adornments on top resembling antlers, and it being his signature colors. Very nice.
Personally it seemed that the power vacuum that Alastor apparently left, sort of implies that he does have many souls under contract that are now free. So, I kind of see that as his microphone having trapped his victims' souls as a means to amplify his power, and that once Adam broke it, they've all been released.
The fact that Alastor went toe to toe and held his own with a being that was on the same tier as Charlie (the daughter of Lucifer) says a lot about his abilities. But I wonder if the reason someone (Lilith?) owns his soul is because he got too cocky taking down Overlords and tried challenging someone that was simply too powerful (again, Lilith? She is almost as powerful as Lucifer).
He didn't really. He demonstrated that he was capable of harming Adam, but he was completely outclassed. The instant Adam started putting any effort in at all he was forced to retreat.
@@alansmithee419 harming is a strong word. He never scratched Adam. He annoyed Adam. When Adam had enough he literally 1 shot Alastor. Our radio boy is WAY overestimating him own power.
Toe to toe? He got 1 shot when Adam got tired of his bullshit. Alastor hit him once, which did nothing. Threw him into the sign, which did nothing. He never even scratched Adam.
@@Anurahm_KycorHe definitely didn't have an angelic weapon in the fight though, so he definitely could've done SOME damage. Still, he lost and got one shot, so I'm assuming either the contract or some other external force is limiting him..
In the final song when Alastor has the part about unclipping his wings, I imagine part of his deal was to be Charlie's guardian "angel" for whoever his deal is with. Potentially Eve? I feel season 2 will focus a lot on Alastor who could possibly be a villain next season along with Lilith.
My theory with alastors leash is that someone (maybe) outside of hell has him. I think because of his origins how he got so powerful is by making a deal with voodoo (I dont know the proper terms, please excuse me) beings. Aka he used the overlords souls to pay his owners and they gave him power in return. Viv even said it was inspired by friends on the other side, and you can clearly see the influence with the color scheme in his first song and hells greatest dad.
Val x Vox shippers about to go wild. I didn't even know that was possible for Vox, considering the fact his face is a literal screen 😭 But I guess if he can sip his coffee- 💀
We don’t know much about Lilith yet but she seems somewhat like a parasite. First she was with Adam (you’ve seen how he turned out) and monkey branched to Lucifer, who then made the worst mistake of his life. Once she had screwed over all of Adam's descendants she proclaimed herself queen of hell, ruling over the people suffering because of her. Apparently she made some sort of deal to get into heaven, leaving her kingdom and even family to suffer. Maybe she’s just opportunistic or maybe she’s pulling a Palpatine. Manipulating both sides of a conflict for her own benefit. Maybe she’ll be the big bad, Charlie having to face her parental issues, Lucifer making up for his mistake and heaven and hell having to work together against her forces
Oh that would be nice! Alastor should be there too! Maybe like idk maybe VS Lilith because she maybe owns his soul or Alastor fighting with Lilith because he is still on the leash and had no choice OR Aladtor fighting with Charlie so he can get off of the leash and then taking over hell
The look on Sara's face when he poofed into heaven. I loved Charlie's demonic form, she is defientally holding back you saw it when she blocked his punch when Lucifer was holding her. You are gonna love Helluva Boss great show.
Now, my theory (which is really only based on general vibes and my personal hopes, so don't take it to seriously) is that Alastor somehow found his way into the service of an Elder Evil. I mean, the black tentacles, sickly green light, and strange symbols don't really give "infernal" vibes. Wouldn't it be awesome if there were a mysterious power greater than both Heaven or Hell behind the scenes? Of course, I'm not confident in this idea, but it's fun to think about lol.
If I had a nickel for every time a minor villain from an animated Amazon show tore off their own arm… …I’d have two nickels. But it’s still weird it happened twice.
Having Vaggie explicitly say her name isn't Vagatha is such a troll 😂 Four years ago on a livestream, Viv confirmed that was her name, and the fandom has known it ever since. Apparently, they're retconning *everything* in the series and we can't trust anything we thought we knew, even people's names😅
I love the bell before Lute & Vaggie go at it. Nice touch. Also the Vees really think that they're gonna take over Hell when *Lucifer is still alive?!* Lucifer: well you're first wife didn't mind waht I had 😜! And you're second wife...well *BOW CHICKA WOW WOW!!!* (comedy highlight of the episode!)
Can we just talk about the full circle of Angel, in the pilot, killing the egg boys, and then now in the finale of season 1 he's coming to their rescue. Idk I just like it
I think Alastor's endgame is to kill Lucifer and with the deal he made with Charlie ask her to relinquish her seat on the throne of hell to him. He probably thinks being the ruler of hell can make whatever deal he made nullified. The deal having "no one being harm" leads me to believe it's a power play.
That's a good suggestion, that notion of wanting Charlie to cede the throne to him! Maybe he could even get her to actually ask Lucifer to abdicate and then abdicate herself, though that seems like two favours.
Not sure what his end goal is (assuming he has one) but given Charlie's one condition, I would bet that the favour turns out to be that Charlie cannot save someone. Because ironic echoes are best echoes.
It is actually confirmed that Alastor isn’t the most powerful demon in hell. In Helluva Boss, there is a character that is slightly more powerful in “traversal” terms. You’ll see though ;)
People are also speculating if it’s Alastor Altruist (like first and last name) or if it’s Alastor, altruist (like a description). And the other thing is like I don’t think it’s that he’s disgusted that he almost died for people. I think he’s talking to whoever holds his leash like “you thought this would kill me, jokes on you, I’m not dead and now I’m coming for you”
One detail that gets lost without having the subtitles on is that the way Alastor's line in the song is transcribed implies that whoever holds his leash _planned_ on him dying: "This place reeks of death, there's a chill in the air, And I barely escaped being _killed_ by a hair... 'Great Alastor, altruist, died for his friends'... Sorry to disappoint - that is _not_ where this ends!" Whoever is forcing him to protect the Hotel was doing so with the expectation that he'd wind up laying down his life in the process eventually. He's a sacrificial pawn aiming to make it to the other side of the board, no matter what it takes.
I ACTUALLY CRIED TEARS OF JOY WHEN I SAW THAT PENTIOUS GOT INTO HEAVEN😭 /SRS AND I ROOTED FOR HIM SO LOUDLY WHEN HE KISSED CHERRY😭 WE WILL MISS U SIR PENTIOUS😭
So excited for you to get in to Helluva Boss, Brandon Rogers does a lot of work on it, hes the voice of the character Blitzo in that series, as well as Katie Killjoy in Hazbin Hotel. He's a TH-cam legend, absolute genius at character work and storytelling
Also my headcanon for why Lucifer showed up at the end: Because for most of the time , Adam and the exorcists were attacking sinners, Lucifer couldn't butt in into the situation, because that was heaven's orders, but when Adam went directly for Charlie, his daughter, and a hellborn, he had every right to protect her, because that wasn't part of the Sera's deal.
some things i think will be relevant later on in the series: -angel dust has a twin sister, currently living in heaven; -the rest of the circles of hell? how are hellborns and imps/hellhounds going to be redeemed if they don't have human souls? and on that note; -what if in the end, everyone BUT charlie gets to go live in heaven?; -adam played a very big part in this, but... what happened to eve? she is definitely going to show up at some point. -alastor and vox used to be friends, apparently. so what happened? -god is most certainly going to play a big role in the finale. and i'm sure there's even more stuff other people picked up on! i'm so excited for the rest of this series!! :)
Funnily... If Ser Pentious dying by an angel but being so nice he got up in Heaven... ... Does Adam pop-up back in Hell ? edit : Also big up for Snake guy sticking it to THE MAN.
I’m not gonna lie, Dazzle, that poor unfortunate little gargoyle’s untimely death in this episode left me emotionally scarred. 😭 One of the darkest episodes indeed, to be honest.
Same! I had hoped he was just injured by Lute, and that he would be fine. but then I saw the statue dedicated to him outside the new hotel, and I legit cried. My poor little baby! 😭
I have watched through all of your reactions of Hazbin and Helluva in the past week. So happy to have found you. You are my absolute favorite reaction page. You've given me so many different perspectives to see these episodes from. Can't wait to see more from you!
I woulda thought that when I saw Pentious in Heaven as he was redeemed & ascended, he would have gotten back his original human form (but add wings to make him angel) instead of continue staying as a Demonic Snake {I guess now as a Angelic Snake}
Maybe because the human soul is completely corrupted and too distorted to revert back into the human form... The demon soul is the one that got redemption so kinda makes sense that he kept the demon form.

Vivzien had already announced two seasons when they were still looking for a financier and a streaming platform for the series, so that's for sure. The two-season requirement was also a partial reason why Netflix refused the partnership.
Honestly, good that Netflix said no. Netflix can fuck off with how they treat their animation partners.
Indeed @@DainnGreywall
Disappointing, because Netflix would be the only way for me to watch these episodes aside from reaction videos, but yeah. Netflix doesn't treat their partners the best, from what I've heard, so good for VivziePop.

I love how when Sir Pentious appeared in Heaven, Sera looked so surprised but Emily was adorably delighted. Hope we haven't seen the last of Pentious.
He is far from weak, and everything indicates that his agreement limits him a lot, let's see what awaits us for the second season
No.
He might be powerful over other demons as a high ranking overlord but not over Angels especially someone like Adam.

@nylathemysticalcat9518 Val had that mug that had Pimping not Simping written on it when he said " Well this just got interesting "
I didn’t think Alastor “missing” would be a major plot point:
1. He needs Charlie for SOMETHING, if the hotel is without him it’s basically lying in wait for the V’s to attack
2. The Vox vs Alastor rivalry was built up way too much for it to only have one 2-min song
@@TheDiamondSlayer1Then again, 8 episodes is pretty hard to put a lot of content within.
@@shinjutsutruth5078That's true, which is why I believe there should have been more episodes. If not more, then maybe make the original eight longer. For a series that had so much hype built up, only eight episodes is a tad disappointing, don't you think?

Does this mean redemption is possible bc sir pentious actually made it into heaven? If so how would charlie react to this? :0
@TheLastHylianTitan Ohh you cooked with that one
@TheLastHylianTitan Sometimes people have theories that elevate my soul
I'm so high rn OMG
Sir Pentious actually followed Adam's list of requirements to get into Heaven
He acted selfless(he died to protect his friends)
He didn’t steal
And he stuck it to the man(Adam himself)
For the power vacuum thing, they know Alastor is injured, Carmilla lost a ton of her weapon supply, AND Rosie probably lost a lot of her cannibals!
So even if Alastor manages to play it off like he's fine, The vVv's know Carmilla and Rosie r weakened~
AHHHH great point!
awesome observation
Exclude Carmilla from that power vacuum. Throughout the show she and her daughters are always seen collecting any leftover angel weapons, and after this fight, I would think her supply might get bigger even. Rosie though, she did lose a lot of her people and unlike angelic steel, cannibals can't just be replenished. Alastor got a wake up call and almost died, him and Lucifer staying at the hotel together will be fun.
You can see dead cannibals when Lute calls for retreat too
@@UnalloyedMalenia Unless the V's swoop in to retrieve the weapons first, given how closely they were watching the battle.
Just noticed that it's quite funny that sir pentious was killed by adam, and in doing so hits all of adams heaven checklist. Probably just overthinking it but I found that pretty funny.
Nope, I think you're absolutely correct. Sir Pentious never stole anything, he sacrificed himself, and he did so trying to save his friends from the First Man, who was a total a-hole gone crazy with power
Don't steal
Act selfless
Stick it to the man
One of my favorite parts in this episode is Lucifer vs Adam.

Now it turns out her mother's been dodging her (??) for that time, and Dad had a massive case of depression and is now the reliable one.
Sir Pentious was essentially a medieval tyrant with delusions of grandeur when he was alive. He died a villain.
And then died again a hero.
My theory is a bit wild i suppose, remember the angels had no idea what got you into Heaven, Adam wrote down what it took and Angel Dust had it. He just had to die again. I think Adam created a opening
That's interesting!!! That would be ironic on Adam's part if true!

Alastor after charlie goes back to heaven: go kill that bitch serah
Shouldn't Eve be in hell?
THink Eve and lillith is the same person, hence her deal with Adam
@@spiceboy9691No Eve is the woman who was created after Lilith fell with Lucifer, Viviane isn't gonna change that.

Based on velvet`s reaction i personally think she really wanted to fight but vox didn't agree so that he wouldn't want to accidentally help alastor
True! Velvets whole thing in episode 2 was to take the fight with the angels but there was pushback. I'm guessing she might be glad that there was someone who fought back, even if it was the princess of hell lol

Wow episode 5 really opened the profanity floodgates for Alastor honestly good for him I love it when he swears
His F-bombs are so well placed.

He was unable to win against Adam because his deal with Lilith prevents him from jeopardizing her deal
@@maxvitor7023 ooo, good point, it might be a stipulation of his deal that he can't seriously harm/kill an angel.

Wow that’s interesting ☝️😲

Hard not to love Alastor. Hes evil, has class, is suave, professional and polite. The perfect villian

THE FACT THAT THEY INCLUDED A SNAKE FACT ABOUT THE 2 DICK'S THING MAKES A SNAM LOVER LIKE ME SO HAPPY

I think he’s talking to whoever holds his leash like “you thought this would kill me, jokes on you, I’m not dead and now I’m coming for you”
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought it was a descriptor! That was how I read it the first time!
VOX AND VAL MAKING OUT AT 16:06 WAS ACTUALLY EVERYTHING OMGGG😭😭
Husk once said: “you think you can buy me with a bottle?!”
“Well you can…”
I'm glad I wasnt the only one tearing up during the final song
I love how they made Adam look like Alex! 12:58
One detail that gets lost without having the subtitles on is that the way Alastor's line in the song is transcribed implies that whoever holds his leash _planned_ on him dying:
"This place reeks of death, there's a chill in the air,
And I barely escaped being _killed_ by a hair...
'Great Alastor, altruist, died for his friends'...
Sorry to disappoint - that is _not_ where this ends!"
Whoever is forcing him to protect the Hotel was doing so with the expectation that he'd wind up laying down his life in the process eventually. He's a sacrificial pawn aiming to make it to the other side of the board, no matter what it takes.
Interesting
I like when Husk was like these angels won’t stop coming! Ok I walked right into that one

So excited for you to get in to Helluva Boss, Brandon Rogers does a lot of work on it, hes the voice of the character Blitzo in that series, as well as Katie Killjoy in Hazbin Hotel. He's a TH-cam legend, absolute genius at character work and storytelling
Also my headcanon for why Lucifer showed up at the end:
Because for most of the time , Adam and the exorcists were attacking sinners, Lucifer couldn't butt in into the situation, because that was heaven's orders, but when Adam went directly for Charlie, his daughter, and a hellborn, he had every right to protect her, because that wasn't part of the Sera's deal.
I am still laughing about Sir Pentios being in heaven and the look on Seras (disgust - shock ? ) and Emily ( way to happy ) faces.
some things i think will be relevant later on in the series:
-angel dust has a twin sister, currently living in heaven;
-the rest of the circles of hell? how are hellborns and imps/hellhounds going to be redeemed if they don't have human souls? and on that note;
-what if in the end, everyone BUT charlie gets to go live in heaven?;
-adam played a very big part in this, but... what happened to eve? she is definitely going to show up at some point.
-alastor and vox used to be friends, apparently. so what happened?
-god is most certainly going to play a big role in the finale.
and i'm sure there's even more stuff other people picked up on! i'm so excited for the rest of this series!! :)
The kitties name is apparently Keekee and makes the key in the logo of the show
Im betting Lilith can't directly intervene so she forced alister to do so on her behalf.

Maybe because the human soul is completely corrupted and too distorted to revert back into the human form...
The demon soul is the one that got redemption so kinda makes sense that he kept the demon form.
