Okay, I listened to both of them. AY did the right thing at the time because he was broke but that put an end to the relationship. They don’t have to be enemies though. Let them remain neutral. No way I will ever be friends with someone that forwarded my text messages to a client. They are both blessed so nothing to worry about. Forgive each other but remain neutral.
We were on the same flight once. I saw him in the lounge but wasn’t sure. Then while on the flight there was a hotspot named AY 😂😂😂😂😂 Then when we got to Atlanta I ran into him. I said AY Makun as we approached each other. He smiled and offered to take pictures. Such a gentleman.
AY is a living testimony of man no be God.

Firstly, I want to appreciate the interviewee's (AY) transparency and humility on his relationship with basketmouth. He sounded so authentic in giving his truth. Secondly, I didn't understand the second part of the show where Chude is asking him a question that is disjointed from the first statement he made. I just got completely confused.
Replying to your second statement: a part was edited and cut out. In the second part Chude is commenting on AY's marriage.

I think AY told the truth. He admitted to sending basketmouth's messages to the client which must have been the source of the problem. I hope basketmouth paid him his $30k for the following reasons:
1) AY worked for it
2) Basketmouth has major issues with people who refused to pay him earlier in his career
3) Basketmouth fully understands what it means to be broke....He invested quite a bit in "leggedes benz" when he started off his career
Most importantly, these guys (AY and Baskrtmouth) need to let go of what happened because life is too short to go aorund beefing people and also because they are 2 of Africa's finest and most revered entertainers. I love them both and hope to see them perform together.....It'll be a barnburner!!!

The problem here is that you have not admitted you were wrong for going to exchange numbers, calling and forwarding chats. That doesn’t show loyalty. In my opinion, you lied because you said that at the end, the client was impressed and collected your contact. How did Basket get to know that the client was not impressed. Na you collect number but that’s aside. Secondly, if you admitted you were wrong, you will not go to him in club and say God has blessed two of us, let’s forget the matter. Even you are bigger than him, it doesn’t stop you from saying SORRY BRO. That’s the problem here in my opinion.

I respect both AY and Basketmouth but at the same time I think they are being immature fuelling the beef, even talking about it. AY was wrong to have shared both messages, that’s not good at all. He could have pressed for his pay from Basketmouth without letting the client know what’s going on.
It’s only when he persists on not giving him his pay for like a month or so, that he could escalate it.
Basketmouth was wrong as well, if the story is true., but we need to hear his side.
If you share a message with your benefactor's client you have failed the first test of loyalty. Basket put him on and he would have focused on getting his money back from him. AY was wrong to have sent that message period.

He (AY) now called the client (Basket's) to beg him (Client) to pay Basket so that he can collect his (AY) money which the client said he had paid Basket fully even before the event. So, who's lying; the client or Basket? of which he had to send each other's (Basket & Client) SMS to both of them. Where did he go wrong there, bro?

I understood also he did that to achieve the result of getting his money but it also at the same time destroyed his relationship with Basket and probably Basket's relationship with the client. After the show, did he tell basket that so so person took his number oo incase.... This would've settled it and will make him pay you on time sef. Whether you like it or not, every business has its rules. If I take you somewhere and a client of mine asks for your contact, you should stylishly tell me before or after the exchange. Now you went and started sharing basket's messages to this client. That's like snitching to me.
