Oh definitely, I can understand why Elveden would rate highly if the layout and getting around is a key consideration. Have a great time, June will soon be here 💚
Great video guys, loved the different categories! The one thing I miss about always going to Whinfell, is the rapids! I’ve done the Elveden and Longleat rapids, and as much as I love the Canyon Ride, the proper rapids are great!
Yep it's a shame that Whinfell doesn't have actual rapids, but the canyon ride is still fun, just lacks that same "group" experience of arms and legs 😂😂
Hello Rob & Dave, thanks for sharing your views on all the parks you’ve been to, great to see the variation. Due to personal circumstances we’ve only ever visited Longleat but it was multiple times during a key part of our son’s youth so had associated memories that cemented it as our go to. We have a favoured lodge (247), favourite activities (pool / crazy golf / Mrs M & her routine purchase of everything in the store room but I’m not sore 😂) and we’ve got to know some staff over the years (some have retired / departed) which adds to it all. At times it has looked tired but whilst things have got better there is definitely a sense of penny pinching that I hadn’t noticed before, possibly due to the current owners maximising the profit to support the sale, who knows? Hopefully we’ll return in 2024, possibly 2025 but we’ll watch with interest your 7 day booking as it’s something we’ve considered but never booked. All the best, Kevin & Nicola.
Our dream is to try then all to compare them, Have been to Longleat, Elveden, Woburn and Sherwood, Woburn was our favourite, but now has been totally topped by our recent trip to Sherwood. Great to hear the differences between them, thanks for the great content
We have been to all 5 and it was interesting to score each area. As i had Longleat and Sherwood joint 1st and my wife Longleat was clear 1st. But like you guys happy to go back to any of the 5
Just arrived back from Whinfell on Monday it’s local to us but spent my childhood visiting Sherwood and the rapids trump it for me. Shame it’s a 3hr journey in comparison to the 1hr to Whinfell- which is still a great site and my children love it just a shame the rapids aren’t the same. But agree with the layout of the sports plaza…the upstairs is great for people watching too 😉 x
Hi. Very interesting! Thank you! We loved longleat- really spectacular site! Loved the walk down to the lake. Loved the one in the lakes as its so close to the lake district, you can have the best of both worlds! The Nottingham one seems really busy, but it closest to us and we can really make the most of it. Winfell was built by a different company - Oasis - which is why the pool is different and doesnt have the rapids.
Knew Longleat would be the winner 🏆 👌🏻 Happy about that coz that’s the first one be I’ll ever be going to later this year 🌲 Whoop woop 🙌 I really wanna go play badminton, hoping to see all those shuttlecocks and balls flying around 😛
Interesting to hear your views as to where would rank each center parcs for different areas, I do love going to center parcs have just come back but I’m not in a position to judge as only been to Whinfell.
Oh fab, I hope you had a great time? Whinfell is the opposite end of the country to us so it's the one we have visited least of all, but am definitely looking forward to returning, hopefully early next year. I think a lot of people would have different opinions and that's part of the fun, hearing different points of view.
Oh was great thank you I always find it really relaxing we did 7 days like you are planning soon, and yes I have watched all your Center parcs videos they are fab! I am in Scotland so Whinfell is the only Center Parcs can realistically visit, I love the Spa but I’m so surprised how low it’s ranked there so the others must be amazing!! 🤩
Yep we just came back from our week-long stay at Woburn and am feeling the post CP blues HARD! Hahaha. I definitely wouldn't say No to a visit to the spa at Whinfell, but yes, I think the others have an even greater offering, would certainly recommend if you ever get the chance, especially Woburn!
Oh 100% agree with post CP blues! was my first 7 day trip never gone that long before but definitely want to do that again was great to get that little bit longer there! already planning my next trip! really hope you enjoyed doing 7 days!
Oh 100% agree with post CP blues! was my first 7 day trip never gone that long before but definitely want to do that again was great to get that little bit longer there! already planning my next trip! really hope you enjoyed doing 7 days!
This is so interesting, we’ve always visited elveden as it’s 30 minutes from us and ranted it. But now seeing this I’m so tempted to book somewhere different next time. Thanks for sharing!
@RobCadenElkins Thanks guys great video my girlfriend has been to all of them and she reckons it's evens between Longleat and Elveden. Great video guys all the best 👍
Even more excited to go to Longleat soon .Thanks for sharing . Would love to see you both stay in more of the different accommodations and do a best of .Would be fab if Centre Parcs invited you to do this 💪💪 Keep going Love watching you both 😊
Ahhh thanks so much. We are pretty limited to the accommodation, as only certain types offer dog lodges, and most of the time we are enjoying our breaks with Harper. However, if the CP wanted to gift us a treehouse stay I'm sure we could leave him for a weekend 😂😂😂
There are all winners and no losers! Honestly, I think that all five Center Parcs have some highlights and each one rated highest in some categories (I think? Maybe I need to rewatch it myself 😂😂)
Haaha well I don't think you can go wrong with that, but you might discover you love another parc even more, or you might decide that we've got it completely wrong?! I'm sure some people will disagree with everything we've said 😂😂
Yeah I know a lot of people would rate Elveden higher, I guess it depends what you put the most importance on? Like we said, the parc layout that we prefer and reasons for it are why others would pick Elveden as top! However all five are great 🌲🦌💚
Loved the vlog as always ❤ we’ve only been to Longleat so glad you chose that as number 1 😂 although i do want to try another and the wildlife is my top priority so looks like Woburn 🤔 I do love the deer 🦌 ❤ looking forward to next weeks vlog ow 🥰
Honestly I think almost all villages could have benefited from better / bigger outside pool areas.. Longleat is the best outside pool space, but Whinfell certainly isn't the worst...
I'd like to see you guys review Center Parcs het Heijderbos here in the Netherlands. Their wild water rapids ride is legendary, the Jungle Dome is so unique.
I'd like to see that too! Haha. We are really keen to try both Longford (Ireland) and some of the European sites, but we haven't got any of them booked yet. I will keep this recommendation in mind though, and hopefully one day... 🤞🤞 For now, plenty more CP UK trips to share over the next 18 months 💚
@@RobCadenElkins it will be our first time. We will do a Monday to Friday and see friends in Bristol as we are down that way. Hope they have electric bikes 🚴
Great video. We haven’t done Whinfell and been years since we did Sherwood. Loved all of them but we love the density of the forest at Longleat and I think the hills and extra walking helps to walk off all of the extra food we eat😂. Familiarity also plays a part in our choice but I feel, if you love CP, you would enjoy any of them ❤❤
Only been to longleat. The subtropical paradise intrigues me for other sites, however, I can't beat the forest lodges longleat has that some other sites don't (for 2 people) I don't particularly like the look of the apartments at the likes of elvedon/Whinfell
Yes I think some of the blocks of apartments are quite visible, compared to the apartments at Longleat that are more hidden and camouflages better into the surroundings.
Another great video guys! But it hasn’t helped me choose which one I should try instead of Sherwood 😂 hopefully one day I’ll have been to them all and be able to play your game 😂
We would love to get to try some of the European CP in the future, I've spent a lot of time looking at them online!! Sadly no plans yet, but whenever it happens you can be sure we'll vlog it 🤩💚
Longleat is our favorite as well cant wait to go back this summer we go every year in the October but thought we might mix it up this year! Any tips for a summer break!
I'm not sure if there is much difference, I think it's the same restaurants etc that allow dogs (Forresters) and so the only difference would be which ones have a Forresters or don't? We always like taking Harper out for some early morning walks but as he's quite anxious / reactive to other dogs we've not taken him to anywhere else.
You will still have a great time I'm sure!! We always have done, it's just a bit smaller / lacking a few things but makes up for it in other ways (e.g. the quality of the new style lodges)
Where in particular at Elveden? I'm aware that there is planned maintenance or refresh of the Canopy café and also the Wild Water Rapids for dates in May and September. You can find info about this on the CP website by clicking on General News and then selecting the specific village news.
I found longleat far too hilly and a pain to get to all the activies. Elveden my favorite. Going in june. Can't wait 🎉
Oh definitely, I can understand why Elveden would rate highly if the layout and getting around is a key consideration. Have a great time, June will soon be here 💚

Whinfell used to have rapids outside when it was Oasis Lakeland Holiday Village but then was redone/replaced by the Canyon Ride.
Oh that's interesting, any idea why they made that decision?
@@RobCadenElkins Not sure. If you look at footage back in 1997/promotional video, there are comments about it on the comment section.
