My opinion, remember the Birth By Sleep cinematic which personally made me jaw drop by the awesomeness, but because it was PSP exclusive, we got the ''shitty'' PSP graphics and they removed the capes (pre-order cancelled) instead of PS3 graphics? All the Members of Organization XIII get their real bodies back, a few of them end up on the dark side and the rest, I assume anyway, decide to fight for good. Lea (Axel) becomes a Keyblade wielder. Riku Passes the Mark of Mastery to become a Keyblade Master. Kairi is going to be trained as a keyblade wielder. We Learn about the fated fight between the 7 lights and 13 darkness's. We learned that Nobodies can gain their own heart and become their own person, thus implying Roxas and Xion could return as their own selves and not part of Sora. Really the entire game was a huge setup for KH3. So not sure why you wouldn't consider it a "real sequel?" You don't need a number at the end of a game to considered "real."

I talked to my dad. He said he ACCIDENTLY bought it. He actually wanted to buy another game. He is still proud that me and my brother still love this game. And now guess who‘s getting it at her 21 year!
The part at the end is to show the battles with the antagonists of the previous games and then link them to the real Organization XIII. The earlier part is to show Xehanort's interference with the characters by moving the chess pieces (which is showing the events of the previous games).
They are gonna release another game probably explaining Union X (Back Cover) before KH4 because there way to little amount of people who knows what happened with the former masters and the book as well as the black box, there is also the first keyblade war too so yeah
For those that don’t understand this series very well, the intro and the whole game in general is the culmination and finale of a 16 year journey that spans over 7 games. This game means so much to the fans and community.

Its been 1 year since the dark saga of Kingdom Hearts, and I feel like playing it all over again. Such an unforgettable journey! The music in this trailer still gives me nostalgia to the wait and payoff this game gave us.
I love how with each chess move Xehanort makes, a different scene from the previous games is shown. It really captures how he has been controlling all the characters and events that have happened at this point. It's like he's a chess mater controlling everyone like pawns in his messed up game.
People are saying the visuals don't match the song but this isn't the full song nor is this the full opening , it's clear that this has been cut and edited

But the nostalgia factor and the fact that this game was a masterpiece when it was released makes me want to play them again. I just cant wait for that sweet SWEET 2018 mouth syncing

Its been 1 year since the dark saga of Kingdom Hearts, and I feel like playing it all over again. Such an unforgettable journey! The music in this trailer still gives me nostalgia to the wait and payoff this game gave us.
I love how with each chess move Xehanort makes, a different scene from the previous games is shown. It really captures how he has been controlling all the characters and events that have happened at this point. It's like he's a chess mater controlling everyone like pawns in his messed up game.

The song you are hearing is the OP which we have known was coming since like 8 months ago when they announced Skrillex was collaborating with Utada Hikaru to make it. This video is DEFINTELY trimmed however, the actual game will have a WAY longer OP sequence likely recapping the series in better detail. Think KH DDD.

@@pizzaboy6752 i went back to replay the first and second games before the 3rd came out and MY LORD is it outdated. The mouth syncing is so off and the controls are very clunky feeling. But the nostalgia factor and the fact that this game was a masterpiece when it was released makes me want to play them again. I just cant wait for that sweet SWEET 2018 mouth syncing
@Kaleb Summers yes indeed these are some trivial issues some of which may turn off newcomers to the series but you do have to remember you *are* playing a 16+ year old game. i totally agree, those seamless gameplay-cinematic transistions and nextgen lipsyncing are going to look fucking gorgeous when we finally get to play it

I remember back in the day when my cousin used to tell me to play kingdom hearts and i would reply by saying nah that game looks trash. My cousin proceeded to buy me the all for one game the 100 dollar version that brings the entire series and the pre order for 3, i can not stop thanking him for putting me on this magical series about two months ago. I am done with the entire series up to now and im dying for kh3 I cant start to imagine how much the people that have been woth the series have had to wait for kh3. Honestly in love with this magical series and cant stop thanking my cousing for this experience.

@@magicalspooncat1721 Wrong, there is a huge group of really old KH fans (something you won't understand) that have been eagerly waiting for KH3 to come out since after KH2FM popularized in the community shortly after its release in 07. That same group of people I am talking about are the kind of KH fans who went out of their way to buy KH2FM in Japanese and a SwapMagic tool kit to play it on an English PS2. Those are true fans IMO. It truly felt like we were never getting KH3 at that time. We all thought BBS was KH3. So THAT is where and why people keep saying "Waited 13 years..14 years.." etc etc. Edit: you are right about when they started development and how long the community waited when they OFFICIALLY announced it, but not about the "emotional/mental" wait that people endured prior to the announcement years ago.
