It's kinda funny to expect there'll be no people in the famous tourist attraction.
yeah ..right?! how stupid is this vid...
Haha, true! Famous spots always draw a crowd. Sometimes we hope for a miracle, right?
exactly, what do they expect that they are the only smart people who have figured out that Maya Bay is worth visiting??!!! and regardless it is as peaceful as you expect
eejit...lots of beach places that are as beautiful as this dont get this crowded. ao nang is obviously a mass tourism sort of place. they should limit the number of people going on the tours at any time. if other places are able to do that, so could they. it was just wild in the early morning on ao nang beach where the crowd of tourists waiting for tour boats is like you were at a taylor swift concert
Still the water is as expected and clean just as shown in the previous video
That’s good to hear usually it’s full of trash and waste
@@namedrop721it's because they don't allow people to swim there
I was there 2 times before Leonardo and i was alone and it was beautiful
Leonardo got there also when there was a bunch of people already there! Haha
😊😂
Honesty or not. If you come late, sure it will be full. That's why you go there via early tours. They start at about 5.15 and you will be there first

You really to go early in the morning!
There’ll be people but much less! I just spent the night aboard a boat in Maya Bay and was the first ones to arrive! Speechless! A truly nature gem in this World!
I did the same thing. best way to experience the island for sure.

Thailand beach and sea is really beautiful especially in the south
The reality is in which what you focus on. In this case the complainer sees all those people and lines while the gratitude person will see beaches and happiness. Same beach different perspectives from a negative and positive person
❤ crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches as fine as powder. 🎉
I went there when I was little in february early in the morning, it was completely empty. Thailand is more touristed now than it was 15 years ago, which is insane and justified, so just don't come in the high season.
I was at Maya Beach in July 2023 it's really BEAUTIFUL ❤️
Awesome! July must've been a great time to visit. Such a beautiful place, right? 😍
What about rains? Were you lucky or it was raining on and off?
@@fatimaaparna4949 curious to know as well, planning to go in june but i'm worried rain will ruin it
I saw a TikTok about beautiful places to see before they're ruined by overtourism. Maya Bay not on the list presumably becasue it's already so popular. Sadly places like Palawan, Philippines, Joffre Lakes, Canada Zakynthos, Greece are next to become overtouristed.
Yo. Ive been Gate keeping palawan for past 10 years ! Dont start giving people ideas plz
Palawan is a big group of islands. I'm hoping Filipino officials there develop the entire length of the island because they hold beaches that have to be seen to be believed. And it has one of the seven wonders of the world. Most folks go to the north but the south, which is even more underdeveloped, is a visit for those that are more adventurous as the second biggest bird of prey can be found there too
Been to El Nido Palawan last May 2024, it is beautiful. A lot of things to offer, next time I’ll visit Coron and Balabac Palawan😊
Depends on time of year..
The expectation part is the same as reality lol… just filmed one girl …
Try visit Palawan Philippines especially in Puerto Princesa City,, El Nido, and Coron Philippines. You won't regret coming. Sorry it's my hometown so I know how it is.
Thanks for the recommendation! Palawan sounds incredible, especially El Nido, and Coron. I'll definitely consider adding it to my future travel plans!
Sure no worries. Let me know if need help booking your travel there. I was a tourist guide there before migrating in the USA so I know people in high places hehe..
Going into the water ❌
Filming the water ✅
Why can’t you go into the water
Still it is beautiful
I had this same experience in Bali. Went to a beach that looked like absolute heaven on instagram. In reality it was littered with so much trash, smelled like urine, and was over crowded
The water is beautiful, I wish you could swim in it though
I just went maya bay today and it was kinda amazing! Lots and lots of people tho
I have visited this paradise ❤
it's not as bad as the vid shows. the beach is quite big and ppl only overcrowded around the entrance area. everyone can get nice pics. maya bay is still a must visit
We can totally relate to it. But, as we know, traveling isn't only about relaxation but also going out of your comfort zone.
Absolutely! Traveling often pushes us out of our comfort zones, and the experiences, even the challenging ones, become part of the adventure. It's about embracing the unexpected. ✈️🌍
People are just dust in this paradise, go there and don't rush. All those people are rushing to take pictures because they have 1 or 2 hrs to go back to the boat. Go for minimum 4 hrs, find a peaceful corner and enjoy the scenery.
When is a good month when no crazy rain?
There are choices to avoid the beaten track, early morning and late afternoon are a good time.
Beautiful place ❤
you can live in long beach at phi phi island , it s also beautiful
Agreed! We actually stayed on Long Beach in Phi Phi and had a wonderful time
I’ve been to these places in 2018, got so many amazing pictures without people around me. Guess I was lucky 😅 or I might scared everyone off😂😂
Thank you!
I went in 2013 and did the overnight camping in the bay…so nice since we were the only ones there after everybody left and had breakfast there before all the tourist boats started coming.
Depends on what time of day it is. If you go early in the morning or later at night theres less people there
There is an agency that travels before everyone else and there are not many people at the beach at the same time. Just been here 3 days ago. I have not seen anything like this.
What is the agency? Thank you.
Water like crystal clear
That’s sad tbh such a beautiful beach. I get taking photos but like enjoy yourselves
We appreciate your perspective! Maya Bay is indeed stunning, and we understand the sentiment. Striking a balance between capturing memories and fully enjoying the moment is crucial. In future videos, we'll aim to showcase both the beauty and the joy of the experience. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 🏝️😊
Beautiful
It is still absolutely beautiful place and I loved every single second of it.
even in the low season very crowded.but its a great island to see.
it's nice.
I was lucky when I visited Maya Bay in 2021 it wasn’t too crowded. And it is too beautiful.
of course after corona was not so much people😂
Man the line they showed was painful, literally, someone stole my shoes and the ground was burning hot 😭
Anyone in 2024 ❤🎉 From Pet Medicine Sri Lanka ❤🎉🇱🇰
I remember when in fact a lot of these beaches were quiet. :) now its all a little crazy sometimes. Life ;)
You can't enjoy a wonderful place alone.
went in 2003 hardly anyone there and was allowed to swim in water, not got any chance anymore
Reality is more beautiful
I love that the place the actual author was writing about is still largely unknown. He changed it to Thailand because he didn't want the islands (somewhere in the Philippines) that inspired him to get ruined by mass tourism. And he was right! Maya Bay had to be closed down due to the mass influx of tourists.
I didnt mind extra tourists. To enjoy the beauty of the place not necessarily you need it to be empty. You can still find your own spot. Even if you go early the beach has a restriction of 40-50 mins per entry so doesnt really matter. Moreover if you go when the suns shining, you get to see the actual colors of the place 😊
Try Palawan Philippines next time
it's hard to live in the moment.. seems like you need to live it through your phone at every occasion you get.
We appreciate your perspective, but we believe in capturing memories while also making sure to savor the moment without letting our phones dominate. Balance is key, right?
Long lines are a big problem especially if you need to take a dump 😮😮😮😢😢
I totally get it; long lines can be a hassle, especially when you need to find facilities. Planning ahead is crucial in such crowded spots. Morning before 9 is much better to avoid the day trippers. At that time, you'll experience fewer crowds, and you might even have the beach to yourself or with just 5-6 people.
lol....lol...lol...lol...finally the damn truth...lol...lol
Glad you appreciated the honesty! It's always good to share the real side of things. 😄
@@moverstale yesssss, the music had me dying laughing.... like Bob Barker...Whap Whap whapppppp....I miss that show and Rest in Paradise Bob Barker
Whenever you plan to come to India we would love to host you at SUNS Cottage Kasauli
I like your honesty 😉
There are thousands of places like this in the world with absolutely no tourist or people. Just for yourself and your loved ones. Don't be a sheep and go find them.
Wow
Always love your vlog 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Have u visited all of thailand im coming for a calm trip to south islands i wanna avoid touristy places crowded places like this where should i go?
That's the story of every place on this planet
Thailand beautiful
That's beautiful it's just some people
If you’re basic your expectations and experiences will be as well 🐚 #BreakOut
#beautiful ... i would still say its very beautiful ... no reality thing !!!
Yikes 😬 but I would still go just because it’s such a dreamy destination
But how your expectations is real 😂❤😊
Been there and u r right. It's exactly packed with people. Plus no swimming
Hi 😊 I'm planning a trip soon. Why no swimming?😢
I went there with a tour group. I think you have to go there through a travel agency. You can take pictures and stand in the water but swimming is not allowed. The tour guides will let you stay on Maya bay for 1.5 hours for lunch and pictures. Then they take you to Phi Phi island for snorkeling. I suggest you take a speedboat to go to Phi Phi island yourself and if you want to go to Maya bay tour and other islands. You can book a separate trip. I was in Krabi and went to a 4-island tour. Maya bay was one of the stops. @@vanessan7889
I forgot where we stopped for lunch. I think it's not Maya bay. Sorry, that might be wrong. Haha@@vanessan7889
❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤
Beautiful ❤
If you want to visit this beach and there is no one at all, just come at night 😂
Beautiful 😊
👍👍👍
In which months is Thailand the most touristy?
April & May
From mid January to May
🤔
Swimming is forbidden, I don't understand why 😢 I was there the last week. It's a beautiful place
Unfortunately when hundreds or thousands of tourists start swimming there the water will start to become brown-yellow from sunscreen, pee and stirred up sand.
Still looks good tbh 😊
Same situation we have faced
Totally get it! It seems like long queues are a common challenge. Share the struggle, right? 😅
But beautiful 😍
Nice
Thanks
Paradoxically, the movie that gave fsme to the beq
Ach predicted touristd wouñd be the problem.
Mark my words: Human makes everyplace as a dustbin.
Phuket 🤩🤩🤩
Better beaches in the Philippines by far
😛😝 The "experience" is dependent on the time of year you visit. Although, Thailand has become highly over tourists since TH-cam and vlogging popular.
👏
❤
Your not the only person in the world lol but nice drone shot for sure
Pretty crazy. Is there a good month to go?
That shot of the couple is cringe. Why pretend just to impress people?
This video is not true. YOU CANNOT BE IN THE WATER. I was first and alone at 7 o clock morning 😃
Go to Exuma. Beautiful beaches, no people.
The reason why i just go to Railay beach only. 😂 Save a lot of money. There's people but hey cheaper in cost
Maya Bay best ❤
Really nice ❤
Beautiful view 🤩🤩🤩
That was nice😂😂
Awesome view
Its a tpurist spot not a personal spot
Smiles from empty miles of beautiful beaches with zero tourists in Mindanao 😅 i lived in Thailand, never once visited a tourist beach, there's a million other beautiful places to go instead of following Instagram filtered beaches 😅
Totally agree! 🙌 There's something special about discovering those hidden gems away from the crowds. Thanks for sharing your experiences - it's always inspiring to hear about such unique adventures! 😊🏖️
True, but I enjoyed it
Maybe it's a time of year thing💁♂️
