I just got this bed, my first double bed 😁😁 I'm still sleeping in a single at the moment but my Dad's going to come over and put this together for me soon, I'm so excited.
Great video. Those small support rods I have trouble screwing the middle screw in, and they make a lot of noise as they expand or contract when you sit on the bed or roll
mrlawilliamsuk Warmachine Yes you can do with manual screwdriver but you will have hard time with these small screws they are hard to fix but it is possible
Do you know what's de name of this piece? 1:00 The small 2 legs? I just bought the bed from someone and those parts was missing and I need to order it to IKEA. Thank you!!!
Thank you, very informative! I have a different type of wooden slats (they are reinforced by some parallel pieces of wood on the side, unlike those from this video) - would the plastic stoppers still be needed? They are sort of in the way...
Yes it is important piece if you don't have I think you can doit without it just need to put something under the nut to hold the nut in place once you put the long screw in not shore how strong it will be as this is importand conection holding all bed frame. If you go to IKEA find bargain corner they alwats have spare parts you may get lucky and find one you lost it.
My thus bed have some parts which i lost. I am madly sesrching everywhere. I want part number to give it to ikea to order the part. But thus bed is no longer available online. Cn you pls help me telling the part number. Its the leg panel of dwon side.. not the headboard side.
Are the white things that stop the wood from sliding sold separately? I need a few as my movers screwed up and lost some of mines so now the wood keeps dropping and the bed falls. Does ikea have just those to buy? 🙏
I'm disassembling and trying to figure out how to unscrew the long screws that attach the headboard to the side panels. It doesn't look like it can grip any screwdriver. What size of screwdriver did you use for those?
I have this same bed frame. I am trying to put it together but I am missing those long black nuts that attach the head of the bed to the frame. Do you know what size they are? Where I could get them?
IKEA will send them to you if they don't have them at your local store. Just get the item number from the manual (you can find it on the webpage with the bed) and give them a call or go in store if you live close to one. If they don't have them, they'll send them to you for free
I would go for Trysil but Leirvik is popular especially with the girls it has kind of cute look just people complain in the comments regarding squeaking over time here is the link if you like to check th-cam.com/video/oVCOUEjY4-4/w-d-xo.html
It'd be nice if IKEA assumed most people weren't illiterate and actually put words underneath their pictures. Then I could actually understand it. There are small details left out that turn into big problems down the line if you didn't catch on to it. It's like badly signing to someone what you need them to do, but can't speak their language. For example: I'm in France and want to know where a sandwich place is, but I don't speak French, nor can they understand English. So I see a group wandering by, brace myself and wave hello, before raising my hands like I'm holding and eating a sandwich. I then raise my right hand and trace a question mark in the air before repeating the gestures. Finally, I shrug in a questioning manner. The French group then applauds and then leaves some money, thinking I'm a mime. That's essentially how effective the IKEA instructions are to my brain.
I'm not good at assembling ikea things at all. Tried to assemble an ikea desk before and did it wrong as the whole thing fell apart. Do you think it'll be fairly easy to assemble this? If i mess it up will I be able to take it apart and fix it again??
I have to move next month and I have this bed frame. Seems like it'd be impossible to move the bed frame out of the room without disassembling. At the very least removing the headboard. How difficult would it be to remove the headboard / back legs and then reattach them when we get to our new place?
I think is standard double I would check but dont have access to this bed anymore. Here is the measurements standard double Length: 208 cm Width: 140 cm Footboard height: 40 cm Headboard height: 98 cm Mattress length: 190 cm Mattress width: 135 cm And second size what they do in UK is standard king with measurements Length: 218 cm Width: 155 cm Footboard height: 40 cm Headboard height: 98 cm Mattress length: 200 cm Mattress width: 150 cm Hope that help.
Hi, thank you for posting this. I'd like to buy this bedframe but use it without the legs, basically having just the frame on the floor. Do you think it would have enough resistance? Is there a way to attach the headboard without the legs ? Thanks for sharing!
Without legs this frame will not hold together as the legs are the main structure for this bed frame. You can doit without legs but you need some brackets to suport comections in the corners.
I'm having such a hard time putting the 4 metal bars at the corners. The won't screw down any idea what to do? It's my first time putting anything together and I did somewhat okay until I got to that part and then it all went 💥. Please help! You make it look so easy!
This bed is super squeaky and have double checked that all screws are tight, even used duck tape, even covered the wooden slats with sheets, anyone have these problems? Solutions please!
The noise comes from the wooden slats hitting the side of the bed frame when you sit on the bed. Try buying the ikea "Lonset" slats, each slat is in it's own silicone case making no noise at all.
This is a bit late, but I had that same problem until I realized I forgot the nut. There's a place for it inside the round plastic piece and it's essential to get that long screw to tighten.
This is supper useful video instruction. Thank you for giving a second life to my second hand bed frame.
Glad it worked for you. Thank you for watching
We were figuring it out so much after we dismantled at our old house and brought it to our new house.. you were a saviour..! Thank you
Thank you for watching
Did not have the manual to this bed. God sent you did a tutorial! Thank you!
I just got this bed, my first double bed 😁😁 I'm still sleeping in a single at the moment but my Dad's going to come over and put this together for me soon, I'm so excited.
Thank god for this tutorial. I lost my manual and I'm moving tomorrow LOL. I've been searching for the wrong IKEA instructions for the past hour.
Thank you for watching
Just put this together with my mom. It didn’t come with the instruction manual, so this video proved imperative to our process! Thanks so much
Edit: found the instruction manual while throwing the box away 🤦🏾♂️
Thank you for watching
In the future if you lose instruction you can download them on Ikea website
Great video. Those small support rods I have trouble screwing the middle screw in, and they make a lot of noise as they expand or contract when you sit on the bed or roll
at 4:26 the rails. can these be screwed with a manual screwdriver? it's part 117327 and 117228. they don't fit!
mrlawilliamsuk Warmachine Yes you can do with manual screwdriver but you will have hard time with these small screws they are hard to fix but it is possible
im also having trouble here, even with the power tool its super hard to get them to catch. Should i be putting more force on these?
This was the only sticking point in putting ours up.. everything else was a doddle.
Victor Fellowes same screws dat go in da middle of the rails i only got 2 to fit in
So I’m having trouble with this part as well, are these small beams necessary? Can we use the frame without them?
Do you know what's de name of this piece? 1:00 The small 2 legs? I just bought the bed from someone and those parts was missing and I need to order it to IKEA. Thank you!!!
can you help me with the name
Hey man when you had the plastic with the not at 2:39 I accidentally place it in the frame without the not, do you have any idea to take those out?
Can you also put a video how to disassemble this bed in case we have to move
I had my bed frame sitting in my room till i run into your video Excellent service very helpful thanks you so much .
Last stoppers was confused me after watching this video now I’m happy I did good job as well as you toooooooi
Instead of using the wood luroy to support the mattress, can I use a box spring and if yes do I still need the luroy ?
Thank you, very informative! I have a different type of wooden slats (they are reinforced by some parallel pieces of wood on the side, unlike those from this video) - would the plastic stoppers still be needed? They are sort of in the way...
On 4:41 to 45 is where am at right now....but can't lock it as, it's not long enough
Did the slats come with the bed frame?
Thanks, thorough and complete build helped me get mine together.
It was the full version or the queen one?
How thick is that mattress? What's the mattress height?
Thank you ! I don't have this battery screwdriver, do you think it is possible to install the bed without?
Yeah it’ll just be harder
You have to buy the center thing and the wooden things too it doesn’t come included ?
eiko hikaru all three pieces are sold separately
I paid $189+ tax for all three , frame $129, metal beam $50, wooden slats $10 usd
How was the bed now?? Is it working in a good condition?? Is it strong now??
At 2:37 - is the plastic with the nut 100% necessary to secure the headboard properly? Can I do without? I've lost those pieces.
Thanks for the video :) Can I use 3 inches matters for this bed frame ?
Life saver! I lost my instructions and thankfully your page exists!!!
Thank you for watching
My thus bed have some parts which i lost. I am madly sesrching everywhere. I want part number to give it to ikea to order the part. But thus bed is no longer available online. Cn you pls help me telling the part number. Its the leg panel of dwon side.. not the headboard side.

Are the white things that stop the wood from sliding sold separately? I need a few as my movers screwed up and lost some of mines so now the wood keeps dropping and the bed falls. Does ikea have just those to buy? 🙏
You need to check with ikea they always have spare parts
@@PPFlatPack thank you so much. I will check :)
Thank you, this is very helpful!
Thank you for watching
Am doing this now but the small screw on the tiny iron is not going in why is that?
More pressure with electric screwdriver
Hi, Is an electric drill necessary to put this bed frame together? Or are a standard manual set of screwdrivers enough?
+souw1990 Not need electric screwdriver you will be fine just with manual one. It is just faster and you not need to work hard with electric one.
Children bed
I'm disassembling and trying to figure out how to unscrew the long screws that attach the headboard to the side panels. It doesn't look like it can grip any screwdriver. What size of screwdriver did you use for those?
Never mind, I did it with an Allen key.
May i know what power tool brand you're using? They seems super convenient
Mohamad Syazani Two electric screwdrivers from BOSCH and for wall fixing I'm using MAKITA drill
In your opinion, is this bed frame better than the leirvik ?
I would go for Trysil but Leirvik is popular especially with the girls it has kind of cute look just people complain in the comments regarding squeaking over time here is the link if you like to check th-cam.com/video/oVCOUEjY4-4/w-d-xo.html
What was dimension this bed?
Thank you your video helped me a lot .

Great ! I loved the way you had conducted! Thanks a lot!
pretty simple to assemble, better than malm bed!probably an hour, and dint even need power tools!
I'm not good at assembling ikea things at all. Tried to assemble an ikea desk before and did it wrong as the whole thing fell apart. Do you think it'll be fairly easy to assemble this? If i mess it up will I be able to take it apart and fix it again??
:) Depend how bad is the mess up :) This one is pretty easy if you just follow video and check on the instructions you should be fine. Good luck

Hi.. Do you also assemble for us at North York?
York in Yorkshire, UK..? We've just put one up if you're still stuck and local.
is it really double size bed?.. it looks queen size to me. Can you tell me the exact size of this frame please. Thanks.
I think is standard double I would check but dont have access to this bed anymore.
Here is the measurements standard double Length: 208 cm
Width: 140 cm
Footboard height: 40 cm
Headboard height: 98 cm
Mattress length: 190 cm
Mattress width: 135 cm
And second size what they do in UK is standard king with measurements
Length: 218 cm
Width: 155 cm
Footboard height: 40 cm
Headboard height: 98 cm
Mattress length: 200 cm
Mattress width: 150 cm
Hope that help.
Can tell which panel belongs to which side, instructions are fucked up in the manual.
How long did it take you to assemble?
Don't remember the exact time I think it was around 1 hour or so.
Does anyone know what the clearance from the floor is?
PP FlatPack thanks for this. I was actually looking to see if there's adequate space under the bed for storage. x
agentju Don't have exact measurements but I thing Clarence is no more than 20cm
USEDguy thank you! I bought it in the end and the boxes fitted well.
agentju hi, just curious, what storage boxes did you get for this bed?
Meekr I just went with some plastic ones from Tesco. They cost around £3
Огромное спасибо за наглядный пример
is this bed noisy?
Rose Gold 😂😂😂 you know exactly why you asked that question lmao
Hi, thank you for posting this. I'd like to buy this bedframe but use it without the legs, basically having just the frame on the floor. Do you think it would have enough resistance? Is there a way to attach the headboard without the legs ?

Thank you so much, sir! 🌷
Very informative!
Thank you
Great Thanks Man!!!
This bed is super squeaky and have double checked that all screws are tight, even used duck tape, even covered the wooden slats with sheets, anyone have these problems? Solutions please!
The noise comes from the wooden slats hitting the side of the bed frame when you sit on the bed. Try buying the ikea "Lonset" slats, each slat is in it's own silicone case making no noise at all.
thanks man
Exelente
Too fast! I’m so lost :(
Alyssa Winchester pause button.
Thank you this really helped :)
that corner is a death trap. i put cushion on it
Ken Mendoza by death trap you mean with the squeaks? How did you get it solved?
Спасибо, чувак
Got to the very end to find I'm missing a midbeam and slats. The fuck?
Man I'm hating this while thing....the screw for th head board just won't go in!! Power drill, tool from Ikea none will work
Return it
This is a bit late, but I had that same problem until I realized I forgot the nut. There's a place for it inside the round plastic piece and it's essential to get that long screw to tighten.
Dont buy this bed its absolute junk
Thanks. Your video helped me a lot
