1913 Buffalo type 1 is actually harder to find in mint grading due to the raise ground design that easily worn off, especially the D and S type 1, very few remained in MS-65 and up. Type 1 was also discontinued within the first year of release.

I have bought in online 1 pc. 5 cent 1913 buffalo. But the reverse side is not an Indian head. Is my coin is been counterfeited?

I have a 1939 silver colored penny the only copper is a very thin line around the time it won't stick to a magnet but neither does zinc considering pennies at that time were 95% copper I can't see how it s silver in color I'm no professional but it's a mystery

All of the Buffalo nickels I've seen look like garbage. Yours are pretty, I like the toning on the couple of them. On the pretty 1916 (I think) is that the dye error that makes it look like grainy wood on the back? It's beautiful. Like I said before, I think toning is gonna be all the rage in the future. Kids these days like things rainbow colored. :)

You've just gotten bad Buffalo Nickels, many good looking ones can be had at affordable prices, I recently got 2 rolls of some very nice looking Buffalo Nickels for $50, all full dates, they came from a small collection. When you get them, make sure they are full dates, those usually are in good shape.

Thank you Michael Cook. I didn't say all of my nickels look worn, it just happens for the buffalo nickels for some reason. Silly buffalo, I'd probably be one to jump in front of a gun for it. Lol.
Anyway, I was more enraptured by the way the coin fascination community is following the trend of, "Unicorn armpit hair," basically. People like pretty things. I'm okay with leftovers. :)

I just started collecting through coin rolls and came across a 69 penny that's a proof with no mint mark. And also I found a 97 proof penny with wide am. I couldn't find info on either coin pertaining to these errors.

That's not the difference of 1913 nickle. One is on flat land. The other type has the buffalo standing on a hill. The land is at a slope.

The buffalo nickel is hard to find in circulation check your local pawnshop most the time they have worn ones for 5 dollars or so good luck and HH.

I seem to find them when I'm not looking. I'm here cuz I found a beautiful 1913 in great condition you can see everything like it's new. I found it at 7-11 on the floor under the doors where they shut. It was on the thing that kinda seals the door, you could see it plain as day if you opened the door. I just found a quarter in the parking lot so I said oh might as well grab the nickel too. Who knows how long it was there or how many people stepped over it. I didn't even see what I had till I got home. Also buy a metal detector I'm on my 2nd diamond ring and 1 pure platinum men's wedding band. Mine also has a signal just for coins. Happy hunting!
