When I first heard this song, 55 years of my life was instantly washed away. I was 18 and back in Beeville, Texas learning the rope of being a ranch hand. Reliving loves won and lost, wondering what ever happened to Cindy, the one that slipped away. Now I'm 73, my body is worn out and broken but this song makes my heart young everytime I hear it and for that I thank Miss Darling.

Very unique combination: You have some elements of this that sound a bit Celtic (which I am not sure I have heard before in country music) and then you have some country elements, and added in to the mix is a dreamy, depressive style in the vain of artists like Mazzy Star, or more closely, the band 'Daughter' It's a interesting to hear a lonely, depressing song regarding cowboys.
