    Good job. Add a rounded wooden bar across the front end otherwise it’ll hurt the back of the knees.

    We're getting ready to do this, and are thinking of running the seat boards horizontally, and rounding off the outside front edge. I'm wondering how those boards feel on the backs of your legs?

    • @Deals-reviews-DIY
      @Deals-reviews-DIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Little stiff but not uncomfortable. If you sit for a long time. You can put small cushion pillow.

    at 1:35 min are those boards screwed into the swing frame? and at 2:18 are the vertical boards only screwed into the horizontal boards ~ at what points did you screw the boards directly into the frame of the swing if any! Thank you!!

      No nothing screwed on the metal fram. I built into it, so its pretty solid. The whole seat is sitting on the frame and not easy to come off. Worst case if move I will zip tie it to the frame.

    I am fixing to start a simular project and was wondering how you attached the wood to the metal tube frame of the swing?

      I screwed the board to bottom boards. Nothing is was screwed on to frame.
      The seat won’t budge but if I want to I can remove it during winter.

      I ended up actually drilling holes through the tube frame and bolting a 2x10 on the bottom and 2x6 to the rear. Then filled the gap with 5/4 board then I used 1x6 for the bench and just shot them to the 5/4 board with a brad gun.
