Thank you for sharing the twin-scaling propagation. It is awesome and my team ( project Hope) will try your way. We are a very small group , trying to help people in need with unique amaryllis/ hippeastrum in Cambodia and Thailand. Thank you for your help.
Oh wow! This method is really awe-inspiring & scary at the same time, my friend. You are certainly patient & so meticulous in the way you handled the scales. Thank you so much for the step by step instructions. 🥰🤗
Hi, have you tried putting them in sand alone or mixed with coco-peat as rooting medium to sprout these scales ? Someone else has tried it & is doing it successfully every time. He uses fungicide solution to soak the scales 1st & then sieves away the water & later dries the scales for a few hours before putting them into a big plastic bag with the sand/cocopeat. Leaves the bag under the shade of a tree for 2 months. No opening the bag during that period.
Yes, use coco-peat with sealed plastic bags will works too(not sure about sand). That will save a lot of time of caring in the process. However, if there's any mouldy scales, it's hard to find out and separate on time, which might infect the others. I would prefer let them stay in boxes without medium so that could check them any time. With the method in my video, you can burry the sales in peat soil after 2 weeks, even by then they are not sprouted yet. They will sprout in peat soil sooner or later.
Wow! sounds good. But I do wonder if humidity level plays a crucial role here ? Cooler climes has drier weather but in my neck of the woods, it is pretty high. That's why I wonder if the sand/peat soil works better or not ? Would you be able to do a tutorial on this alternative too, I wonder ?@@SelectionLife
Yes, I just put it indoors and avoid sunlight. It would be better to put them in dark and warm location (temperature higher than 20C/68F) if possible. But the crucial point is the humidity, don't forget to change the tissues especially in the first 1-2 weeks.
I always get a few scales get moldy if put in peat moss bags. This method doesn't works well with me😅 I prefer putting them in containers with tissue to control the humidity as shown in the video.
Fis mudas com as sementes.Fiquei fasinada.
This is wonderful! I have a school project and would love to include your video. Therefore, I'm reaching out humbly to ask for your permission to use it. I'm even willing to pay if your price is within my budget
Yes, but double Amaryllis don’t produce seeds😅. And baby plants grow from twin-scaling and cuttings grow faster than seedlings, according to my experience.
Only three years? You must be joking.! Growing them from seed only takes 2 years max. Rather cut the bulbs in 4 and pot right away.! Atleast in two years you will have flowers.😅
Thank you for watching!😀

That's true. Humidity control is more important than disinfection. The crucial to suceess is keeping the scales away from mouldy or withered.
WOW WOW and WOW. Absolutely amazing. Thank you. Happy New Year to you and yours. ❤❤❤
Thank you, Happy New Year 🎉🎊 🥰
Exelente❤❤
Thanks!! 👍Question - Did you just leave the container out on the counter at room temperature? Do I need to put them in a darker or warmer location?
Yes, I just put it indoors and avoid sunlight. It would be better to put them in dark and warm location (temperature higher than 20C/68F) if possible. But the crucial point is the humidity, don't forget to change the tissues especially in the first 1-2 weeks.
Wow thats great 👍
Which method is best in your opinion? Putting them in containers? Or putting them in moistened perlite or peatmoss/ coco peat bags?
I always get a few scales get moldy if put in peat moss bags. This method doesn't works well with me😅 I prefer putting them in containers with tissue to control the humidity as shown in the video.
@SelectionLife ok.. Thanks for replying 🙏

pretty cool that it works ...
Lovely ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome 👌 👏 👍 ❤❤❤

Hi ask for best fertilizer to use?
High phosphate potassium fertilizer is best for bulb plants.
is that corn around it in the last shot
No corn. That’s the amaryllis seedling growing from the bulb scales.
How can we get this plant in Bangladesh
How long do they take to flower?
3-5 years, depending on the weather in your region.
Akan saya coba , ❤️🙏❤️
You don't use any water?
No water until I plant them in the soil.
@@SelectionLife so interesting that it doesn´t die.

Por qué se pone rojo?
Así es como sana la herida cortante. Es normal.

Its true. I alread did It.
By seedlings you get more plants.
Yes, but double Amaryllis don’t produce seeds😅. And baby plants grow from twin-scaling and cuttings grow faster than seedlings, according to my experience.
@@SelectionLife I see. Thank you for the information
Não tenho coragem de fazer isso

hiç beğenmedim bu yöntemi kaç defa aynı gösteriyor hızlı aşamalı geç artık izlerken sıkıldım
You could have edited this down to one minute instead of going on and on 😂
