welcome back to another video on the FTX DR8 , in this video we will be addressing two things I noticed after running this 6s monster .

Yes the servo upgrade is probably the best & easyist upgrade to make on most rtr vehicles, makes such a difference to the driving experience.
Yes buddy I agree , makes me wonder with these manufacturers mind I mean for the sake of a little bit more money .
As I said it's not that the servo provided was terrible but just lazy in comparison to what I now have in there .
But definitely when you buy a RTR it should be the first thing you change and it completely changes the feel of the vehicle .

Steering servo's make huge difference, great work on the awesome dr8 dude 👍👍😀😀
Totally agree with you buddy , they get so over looked when using a RC , its what give us a direct feel to whats going on with out RCs . And yeah the Dr8 is a seriously unrated car its a total weapon on the rough stuff .
Nice one Chris, snapped my stock battery straps 2nd time out with this beast and bent the stock rear shock tower. Upgrades inbound!

Decent video, just burned my atom 6s servo out so bought a 40 kg servo & ready to fit it, hope it isn't too strong. Very helpful vid cheers mate 👍🏻

Once again thank you for watching , yeah it does seem that this truck suffers from a weak servo indeed .
40kg would be awesome , what servo did you pick up may i ask ????.
i would recommend tightening up the servo saver a touch with that also as the amount of torque that servo is going to have you dont want the servo saver stopping its full turning potential .

Hey buddy , massive thank you for watching the video . Servo is a awesome upgrade for the DR8 , I took it out for a quick run up and down the street today just to check it was all OK and its literally transformed the cars responsiveness .
And yes of course i can do a diff fluid change on camera its literally turned up today so planning on recording this on the weekend hopefully .

Out of interest what hex screwdriver set do you use?
Hey buddy in this video i used a cheap set from Ebay .
Im now using MIP screwdrivers and speed bits 2 ,2.5 , 3.0 mm and not looked back since .

Yeah i did notice that the truck had less movement to the one side . there is a trick you can do to help that it turns out that the servo saver and the turnbuckle are the issue i can link you a video to show you how to solve that if you like .
there a amazing truck and i was truly shocked at the price to performance it offers .
