The only amusing part of this endless story was when the brother got his first paycheck and disappeared. The mother was horrible, but her family really let her down by not forcing her to understand where the money was coming from all along. And don't people in Korea (that's where these soap operas originate, right?) ever have to file joint income tax returns?
Yup, if the family is having financial issues everyone works, no exceptions. Mom gets a job, and so does the little bro, until the bills are solved. Also, no college as that costs money needed elsewhere. Really, as soon as they went to send the brother to college, the MC should have said "he can work mow, so he can shoulder the bills like I did" and cut her contributions in half. (Up to what she was contributing at the start).
So her giving you $2,000 a month for 10 years totally $240,000 isn’t enough. That’s not counting the mortgage she was paying. Well I believe it’s time the daughter cuts all ties to a toxic gold digging mother.
