I used to make 10x10 layout but now i discovered that by using 11x11 layout, things fits perfectly, for example, for residence buildings, follow 10x10 layout method, then extend the pavement to one time on all sides and decorate with ornaments. The main benefit I found is when compining services with buildings. It just fits perfectly. Was experimenting on creative mode and found that
You are one of my favorite anno 1800 content creator. Love the series and thanks for all the helpfull guides and layouts vids you make. Really helped me improve my gameplay and take my campaign futher then i ever got!!
Me neither. I came from Factorio, and was looking for an import and export option in game, but couldn't find it - so I assumed that it wasn't possible.
Your videos are great! I'm so addicted to this game. Tip for arranging stamps: Prepend stamps with numbers "01_TinyVillage", "02_BasicTown" etc to have them in the order of your choice.
Thanks for the vid! I didn't initially like stamps, but your 10x10 grew on me. I believe it was from one your older videos, there was a set of stamps for Bright Sands; someone recreated it. Of course the city was never intended to be recreated when it was built, so it is fairly nonfunctional as a real city. In my few lousy videos for my Nexus mods uploads save games, I talked about what I had to do to change it up so it would function. Still, the stamps all snap together, and it is very nice to just be able to lay it out in a pinch. lol
Eh? Harbor will never look good if it's not crowded yet. The basic rule is, dont put conflicting stuff side by side😅. Like fisherman place beside the sand mine place. Or sand place near the tourist pier😅
Hi Taka! Thank you so much for this informative video!!! Still, I am so very much in the "boring building mode" that I have a problem using your creative ideas and links to their full potential. I love how the look of the village in the intro and would like to see how you build it. So I wonder, whether you have - or can make a stamp of it? I am sure you would have a lot of very grateful followers ...... I would certainly be one !!!!!!!
I am a bit late to the party and maybe I have overlooked it, but do you have also made Stamps for Building Material Chains? (Bricks, Steel, Concrete, Windows), perhaps also some for a Weapons? Your Stamps for the Consumer Goods have helped me so insanely much, don't know if I am asking for too much at this point lol
Unfortunately they won't be doing that.... it took a lot of work just to get the base game to function on current gen consoles. Adding DLCs greatly expands the system requirements and makes it unplayable.
Would you consider making a few stamps of your own style of towns? I was hoping for something more like the small town shown at the start of the video, with more trees and room for decorating and more built-in variability. My own standard village and small town stamps have a lot of 3-wide avenues as firebreaks, with trees in the middle for greenery, but they are still too gridded; and putting in a train loses the green. Even using the 10x10 my roads are too straight, so I was hoping to take a clearer look at how you create your variability. I know they won't be the most efficient layouts, but I'm not trying for that.
It's weird how some of these layouts are all covered in police stations, which you often don't need. But neglect even partial town hall coverage. It doesn't need to be perfect like in the second one (which is really great), but I'd prefer if there were at least a spot left open. For example the New World one can just shift the hospital to the side and put the town hall in the middle.
The thing I don't get is that I need all these extra buildings to have food and necessary productions to get around, so half my map is for wheat, soap, pigs, wool, schnapps,....I just can't place 10 times a stamp...Where do you get the money from?
Quick question I've been wondering for a while now. When you say that it needs 6 oil wells, you're talking about 6 of them working at 100% correct ? What if you have them working at 200% ? Does that mean you only need 3 ? If you managed to get an oil well to 600% hypothetically speaking, does that mean you technically only need one oil well ? Or does the math of oil wells and gas deposits not work the same ? Thanks.
@@TakaTH-cam --- Oh right, I forgot about that, my bad. But my point kinda still stands. If I get the refinery to 200%, would that mean I only need 3 oil wells instead of 6 ? Also on a quick note, I did use the King William island layout that's on the wiki for the initial start of the arctic, but the layout has way too many unnecessary houses if you play on doing 1-1 as in one population island supports one plateau. You need like around half of the houses. Maybe difficulty settings influences this but I never play on the harder difficulties so I can't be sure.
@Scyths1 every oil well increases the refinery output by 100% but you still need three oil wells to supply one power plant. The only way to get away with fewer oil wells is to use items that boost the base output of the refiring. As far as King William Island.. It doesn't matter put the extra population on the island. Consumption in the region is low overall and so you only need one of each production chain to support the houses there.

I recently started playing Anno due to an sale purchase. Thank you for your content. It helped me a lot.😊
Recently bought this and subbed after watching a couple vids.. All your guides have been fantastic and recommended for all.. Cheers!!

Did not even knew that you can actually import/export stamps) will definitely try one for King William Island!
Me neither. I came from Factorio, and was looking for an import and export option in game, but couldn't find it - so I assumed that it wasn't possible.
How can you add those custom templates in game?
Your videos are great! I'm so addicted to this game.

I used the entire city stamp in blueprint mode for CF. It is great!
Thanks Taka
Love to see the poke balls! I use a 2 x 6 pokeball setup in Crownfalls always.
Thanks for the vid! I didn't initially like stamps, but your 10x10 grew on me.

Hey Taka!
If you havent already, could you make a video on Harbor layouts & how to make your Harbors look good?
Thank you!
Eh? Harbor will never look good if it's not crowded yet.
The basic rule is, dont put conflicting stuff side by side😅. Like fisherman place beside the sand mine place.
Or sand place near the tourist pier😅
Another great one man 🎉 keen to see what type of stuff you're going to come up with next.
Stamps are great. I need to prepare some for the other regions. Only set up for the old World atm 🤣
Excellent Taka! A good resource for new players or peeps that don't care about beauty! 🙂 I might look at the Arctic layout though.
king of the annoverse! you are the only guy in youtube I Subscribe, like and comment. Go Taka go!

Bro that 10x10 layout a win for me, my city have stopped burning since I’ve used that 🤣🤣🤣
Love your Anno 1800 videos. I wish they would bring all DLCs to consoles.

That is a shame.
Who plays city builders on console ?
@@z135210true
@@z135210 clearly people that do not have a PC.
Great content as always Taka!

Any chance of going into detail with Wholesome Hacienda Overhaul? Really miss the fame farm policy that’s gone in the mod.
You're amazing Taka! Thank U!!

You're thinking of the refinery building itself... Refinery building is modified by how many oil wells it's working.

nice, but this is the LAST taka vid I will watch!
I see what you did there... Lol
Where do i put the file of the stamp?
Have a like. All hail the algorithm. SuperfastMatt.
how do i share a stamp? i might have a good city one
You can join my Discord and I have a section where you can post the file... you just put the Stamp file into a zip and upload it.
👍👍👍👍👍
You forget bright sands layout?
I didn't forget it I just didn't include it... Most people don't play the campaign and the layout only works on that island.
Makes sense also I did use it I sent a pic on it discord also I kinda modified it
Comment 😂
great video
