I hoped to get knowledge from scratch tho... Something from how I connect my sound card to the pc and set it up on FL... And then, it seems you already had a mix template for the lead vocals... As a beginner... I have no idea on how you did that☹️

I thought you were going to add a compressor on the mixer record track before recording something I always do surely am wrong.

ok so if he adds the compressor on the recording track it is permanent. He wants full control so he sends the vocals to a track with the pre compression so he can change it however he likes. i advice you do that to allow full control over vocals
