nice deals on the GBC there Scott, ill be honest i just thought the only difference between the two machines was the splash of colour and the fact it only took 2 batteries instead of 4 i didnt know the hardware was actually improved! V-rally does look very cool and as you say a shame the Chase HQ game or even outrun wasnt made using that same engine!
some of the "only for gameboy color" games are really aesthetically pleasing on the eye. seems to be a lot of darkness and shadows these days so kinda nice to see the big bright contrast colours that everyone was aiming for back then.

There is a CHASE H.Q. called Secret Police you've got the gun too, so it's more akin to CHASE H.Q. II, despite the daft PAC-MAN criminal map chase mini game screen prior to playing the behind the car sections it's a real nice title, your looking at £30 boxed so not a bad price. ROAD RASH is top quality on the GBC if you can snag yourself a copy too.
