A review on the performance would have been nice - like how they compare for running in the rain - how hot and sweaty they get, etc.
Noted! I do sweat easily wearing it especially during warm weathers.
I own the first jacket and after about an hour my back feels wet. Not sure if it's sweat or water actually soaking in. But bottom line my shirt gets soaked. A regular hoody works better as it breaths and dries with the climate.
The Watertight ii at least I know is solid. Think of it more like Mountain Hardwares cheapest option cause that's what it is (the bought Columbia)
It's a good rain jacket. What it lacks is style, gussets and articulated arms. Think of it like the nicest poncho you'll ever buy and that's about what it is.
You'll need to jump to ~$200 for the real 3-layer stuff.

Nice review! Nice to see these in the real world and not just a clean image on websites. Also I didn't see any inside zipper pockets so I suppose none other than the two outside zipper pockets. Your floor took a worthy sacrifice. I've owned a Columbia jacket simular to these but with a liner for last 8 years and it's been amazing.
The Watertight II is packable. Use the left pocket, it has a double-sided zipper

It is slightly windproof but not fully windproof like if you are in a snowstorm not good enough.
I got the Columbia Watertight II jacket but I noticed that it is leaking at the seams, I notice my shoulders starting to get damp after walking in the rain. Anybody else have that problem?
Not sure about this. I havent experience this yet. since it hasn't really rain much lately
I haven’t experienced this. This is coming from someone who has used the same jacket for the past 5 year’s delivering beer in the rain.
I’ll be using the jacket for 10 hours a day on a rainy day.

I would say its more water resistant and I dont suggest submerging it in water except when washing.
