Hi there, I usually start off with a bell ringer to get the student started. Then I usually do a whole group where we go over the objectives and then an activity like read aloud/think aloud. I usually use a PowerPoint or some other visual to help with the read aloud/ think aloud. And I’ll often do a cooperative learning activity. Formative assessments focus on feedback and improvement during the learning process and are typically not associated with norm-based or criterion-based scoring.
