I like to think that this figure represents how Chewbacca tried to sneak into Jabba’s Palace to rescue Han. Chewie thinks he looks awesome. But it is actually so terrible that everyone saw through the disguise instantly and threw him in the dungeon. Dress-up is just not a strong trait in Wookies. Maybe the start of a “Chewie-in-Disguise” line. Box art claims “Luke, R2D2, Yoda, Maul, etc but the figure is the same Chewbacca with the simplest see-through get-up. Still only accessory is the bowcaster too. Or maybe a Trick or Treat line where different characters dress up in homemade Halloween costumes. 😂 Fun stuff, guys!

I loved the Kieron Gillen Darth Vader run and the initial stuff with Doctor Aphra. I really wanted a Black Krrsantan. But even as a comic BK... he's not accurate. He doesn't even match the art _they used_ for the packaging. Like, sure, there's probably some panels where he looks like a palette swapped Chewbacca... but that's not what he _usually_ looks like.
It’s crazy when you compare the approach to the publishing line back then and now. Minimal effort for certain figures like comic Krrsantan in the past, while we got a lot of love and care and new sculpting on Joruus C’baoth and Xizor now. The dark days are behind us it seems, I’m looking forward to the future of this sublime
They really came back around and delivered a banger for Krrsantan. While its down in price, the new mold is a must have!! Probably my favorite black series figure if I take out any bias towards ROTJ Boba.
Hard Pass on this fig when it was released. I ended up getting the Deluxe Krrsantan as a Christmas gift. But after watching Blunders #7 and reading the comments I think I will pick this up, maybe even two. Variation and customization.
I originally bought it as a place holder because I LOVE the Doctor Aphra comics. I was tempted to keep it but I gave it to my nephew whom I nick name Sid (from Toy Story).
I love the Deluxe Santy. One of my favorite TBS figures. And I’m so glad I waited beyond the LFP release to get the figure. But, that said, I LOVE the comic box and wish that the Deluxe had that box instead. If you want to unload the box, I’ll take it off your hands.
Hey Nate & Justin, although I'm not a member of the community of yours, I just want to say that the first ever comic book series Black Krrsantan figure does look like it's been dipped in either motor oil or tar & I couldn't believe tyhat there was no other paint details on his armour, pouches, even on his feet & fingers too. But I'm glad that I bought the Deluxe one that's a bit shorter, stockier & has better washes on his armour, his feet, hands(even his knuckle bands) are much better from BOBF than what Nate had in his hands. But anyways, Hasbro goofed up on the new Black Series 6inch Princess Leia figure from what Lukeness Monster posted a few days ago. The legs on the new Leia figure has all white on her legs to her boots instead of what the first one had was the skin tone on her legs to her boots. So maybe there may bea way to switch the legs from the old figure to the newer one after it's available. I don't know. Anyways guys, have a good & safe week & weekend too. I'm fine with my Comic Book Black Krrsantan or however you spell it. I don't have any particular attachment to the character, I just wanted a black furred wookie for some variety! And he fits that bill. I also wanted the white xmas wookie from a couple of years back, the idea of an albino wookie appealed to me. But Hasbro has to make it so difficult to give them money, so I never did get one. :(
I meant to pick this up on clearance as a random black wookiee, then realised I can’t really army build Wookiee’s in Black Series. There was a black wookiee in the 3.75 line, but he has disappeared into the Shadowlands of my toy room.
I wonder if this fig could look better if sprayed with mat varnish...No way it could look like Krrsantan, for sure. I elected to take the head, armor, and lower torso overlay, and just threw them at the superior deluxe figure. Minor dremeling and cutting required, then some nice gold and brown paints to cover up that ugly mustard yellow. And then paint over the grey fur paint. “BEST FIGURE OF ALL TIME, I JUST HAD TO CHANGE OUT LITERALLY THE ENTIRE BODY. REPAINT EVERYTHING IT CAME WITH AND IT’S PERFECT.”
I remember talking to Eric at SWCA 2022 about this. It just came down to bad timing. I hope we get more publishing figures. There are so many cool characters in the comics. This is where Lucasfilm needed to do better with their approval process. (My opinion… Eric rightfully didn’t throw LFL under the bus).
I would love to have seen the Hasbro presentation of the final figure. Did anyone on the approval committee ask why the armor wasn't painted? Or why he was glossy black? Or why it looks terrible when the weapon is the same color as his fur? It just looks like a pre-production demo piece, as if it was still in the brainstorming stages. There is no excuse for this figure's existence as a final product.

Another thing that really didn't help this figure is the failed Rancor. Rancor haslab ends in failure then the very next week we see Boba Fett RIDING it doing some very cool stuff. Then the show ends and we get this Krrsantan. Just a double whammy of disappointment.

I made him feel silly and then he deleted his comments. What a fool... No, seriously - I can't believe you bought that! This is a horrendous figure. I too enjoy the line but this was an almost insulting release to us. (Although, sometimes I enjoy a bad release because I enjoy watching everyone lose their minds about a figure they can just pass on.)
Really bad figure. My mental gymnastics: in some of the Aphra comics he’s drawn very scrawny similar to how the figure ended up being. Almost like a Bruce banner to Hulk effect when he was in action he would be drawn as a wookie beast. I have him posed on the BACK of my shelf BEHIND Aphra and her droids 😂

I like this Krasantan solely because I've bought 3 copies of it, 1 of which was an accidental figure swap where they put the far better krasantan figure in it. And the other 2 were because I repainted 1 into a Rando Wookie, and the other I scrapped for its Armor and used the rest of it in a gag image of an explosion in Chewies face cause the falcon was having engine trouble.
This figure is ass. But also I believe biggest complains came because of terrible timing this figure was revealed. Krrasantan just appeared in BoBF and people liked him and his look in that. Not so many would have cared if he came years before his live action appearance. And yeah Hasbro had no idea about show if I remember correctly.
