I truly appreciate this style of music. They allow so much space for the Holy Spirit to show up and speak through the music. This band is so gifted and blessed. Great song.
I absolutely love this band and it is genre because they combine two completely different genres with rock instruments and symphonic accompaniments to create timbre and depth with a subtle crescendo that embodies emotion and speaks to the soul. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful forms of music to have ever been made
This video really blows my mind. Especially at 3:57 where the magic really starts. It reminds me of the life and death of things. Of creation and destruction and of beauty while it lasts-but how quickly it fades away only to be replaced by something even more beautiful. The cycle of life is so wonderful!
damn this is definately one of my favorite songs from this band. The beginning with the wailing guitar is awesome! Makes me imagine of a spaceship cruising pass the earths atmosphere and entering space. The pilots look through the windows as they see the huge universe and planets all around.
I kind of love you for not hating on the people who heard this because of Tom. You loved the song before and you can still be kind about those who didn't hear it until Tom tweeted about it. You're cool!
I generally don't watch music videos. I usually let them play in the background while I do something else. But I had to watch this. The visual emotion is heartbreaking and surreal. Watched it twice from beginning to end.
I found this band while I was waiting to watch the Foo Fighters live on You-Tube for Lalapoloza. Right before, a song caught my attention- it was Explosions in the Sky. Now I have every album and I am seeing them in Atlanta! The music has so much emotion and can just let your mind wonder. Really nice to see talented musicians that just love to play epic music!
R.I.P Subterranean MTV2 8-2-11 brought me here . Made me mad when they took off the show only good thing i waited for at night . & one night i came across this gem of a song & video was just blown away by it . Makes you feel something you haven't felt in a long time . Life .
I don't know... this song got me in too many ways to explain here... I just... I don't even know what to say... more than a song this is artistic... excuse my bad english
When I was reading The Walking Dead comic books, I was listening to Explosions In The Sky, and this song in particular fits perfectly with the post-apo atmosphere. In this song I can see hope and light at the end of the characters' lives.
my favorite thing about this album has be like my dream come true. i love how munaf used long humming tones on Those who tell the truth.. in The Moon is Down, then when I heard this album and that stuff is in like everysong...i about died. Oct 12 in KC going to see them. so stoked
this is my first time commenting on a video EVER and i just had to because this video/song is simply amazing. leaves me speechless every time i hear this song.
If that person wasn't actually trolling, if this is mind wasting garbage, well, then your mind is probably apparently already wasted. This is the kind of song you can sit down, watch the video, and think. This song could have just about any point you give to it. Looking at other songs, with vocalists, the plot is pretty much set for you, while not bad all the time. You can get much more immersed in this music for your own reasons, than other music.
Holy smokes! I listened to this song because TH-cam suggested it (i listen to this band and others like it), then I go to Tom Hiddleston's twitter to see the song of the day and ..... BOOM it's this song! He has such great taste in music
I agree. My GF and me cried at the EITS performance. It was the best we've seen in our lives, and we've seen so many, but this one was THE BEST. And the ticket only costed 20 euro (Well, we've payed the 8 hours train trip and the hotel, lol). But at the GIAA... Well, they're great, but we didn't feel the same, there was no connection, it was an empty moment. Very nice music sounding, yes, but that's not all, the most important is the feeling.
+benukysz The nature of this world we live is polar, you can see this everywhere (sun and moon, man and woman, night and day, ying and yang, light and darkness) one depends on another, when you create light, for exemple, you create the darkness too. So these polar things are just one, being repeated in diferent ways, but it's all the same (singurality). So, we can say the big bang is the singularity, and all other things after, the stars, galaxies, planets, etc. the things we can see, perceive, study, is the polarity. It's hard to see everything connected, but understand and contenplating this polar world we can make it (ilumination). I sugest you reading the book "The Healing Power of Illnes". I'm not that good explainning, cause I just begin to understand these concepts. There's more to it and it's facinating, just like this song :)
I've heard a lot of hate on this album from EITS fans and post-rock fans, but I think this piece is incredible! One of their best so far, I'd say. I guess after a while, some people turn into hipsters and forget what this music is really about =/ I like all Explosions in the Sky -- old and new. Take Care, Take Care, Take Care is a solid masterpiece. Anyone else loose their breath at that last melody through the outro? :D
They did really well on this music video. when I first heard this song I imagined a boy waking up under a tree as the moon rose, and monkeys waking up and chanting excitedly, as the moon rose into the sky and exploded creating a trail of stars over the wilderness, the boy and the monkeys follow the star trail over the wilderness until they come across a girl who followed the same path. Love this song! good thoughts!
I've seen that movie. I'm 18 so it's weird seeing people around my age who've seen that movie. I only found out about it through some list of memorable quotes. It's not the greatest film but it definitely is memorable.
Listening to them play this song live, while shrooming, was transcendental. Beyond any other previous experience
It's 2023 and I still love this song ❤️
I truly appreciate this style of music. They allow so much space for the Holy Spirit to show up and speak through the music. This band is so gifted and blessed. Great song.
I always listen to this song when im studying,im going to study astronomy next year, this represent my feelings about it
Right onnnn...hey there's a star in the sky that shines bright above my head...then it disappearsss...I see it everyday late at night....
stfu no one cares
+Troll Beast no u

Don't know what you said but sounded beautiful! I definitely agree with the last sentence!
Derek Gunn this is post rock
I think this is the most beautiful music video I've ever seen in my whole existence.
This video really blows my mind. Especially at 3:57 where the magic really starts. It reminds me of the life and death of things. Of creation and destruction and of beauty while it lasts-but how quickly it fades away only to be replaced by something even more beautiful. The cycle of life is so wonderful!
One of those songs that can help make that perfect moment.
damn this is definately one of my favorite songs from this band. The beginning with the wailing guitar is awesome! Makes me imagine of a spaceship cruising pass the earths atmosphere and entering space. The pilots look through the windows as they see the huge universe and planets all around.
Agree... this is what i am imagining the music video should be
I kind of love you for not hating on the people who heard this because of Tom. You loved the song before and you can still be kind about those who didn't hear it until Tom tweeted about it. You're cool!
This is the most brilliant and moving music video I have ever seen. Ever.
Ever.
Amo esta cancion ♥ dificil tratar de describir lo que me hace sentir, increible!
I generally don't watch music videos. I usually let them play in the background while I do something else. But I had to watch this. The visual emotion is heartbreaking and surreal. Watched it twice from beginning to end.
The first song that introduced me to EITS.
This is art with a silent canvas. This is good for the soul.
This song makes my 3 mile bike ride feel like a breeze.
This is pure art.
Pure Evolution...not where we go, but I'm with you ... in this journey through space...
This is a classic song to be far away from everything...
I'm happy and sad at the same time
Was stoked when Leabres skated to this song. Explosions in the sky + Insane skateboarding = Perfection

the depth of this video made fell the transcended journey of origination of the very own existence.
I don't know... this song got me in too many ways to explain here...

excuse my bad english
took a while to get here, worth it
Words can not describe this.
When I was reading The Walking Dead comic books, I was listening to Explosions In The Sky, and this song in particular fits perfectly with the post-apo atmosphere. In this song I can see hope and light at the end of the characters' lives.
i remember first listening to this 10 years ago, it still sends me chills
This band has so much Emotion and feeling in their songs. I love it.
Incredible song, incredible video. I owe this band so much.
Why can't there be a love button instead of a like button when it comes to rating stuff like this?!
it's AWESOME i replay this video 13215 times!

Tom Hiddleston, thank you for guiding me to this masterpiece :)
A real master piece of art.
This deserves more reviews.
Hand down, that was the best eight minutes and twenty seconds of my life.
Just beautiful!
incredible video to go along with an incredible song.
This is always what i picture when i listen to Explosions... Just beautiful abstract imagery in motion.
Just beautiful.
very beautiful, both the music and the clip
These visuals match this song so well. Love everything about EITS.
love the guitar effects right before the drums. epic.
Amazing video, EITS plus the cosmos/nature is always a winner. Beautifully cohesive.
this is my first time commenting on a video EVER and i just had to because this video/song is simply amazing. leaves me speechless every time i hear this song.
I always listen to this whole album when I study cause it pumps me up for my organic chemistry homework. I have no idea why but it works....
Accurate video for the global events happening right now. Something so simple to understand.
love explosions in the sky but this song.. its just a whole other level...
Wow...could this sound not only be one of the most beautiful pieces of music made but...this video is so...just amazing o.o
I Think that I'm in love with this song and video.

This video is amazing!!! This guys are unbelievable. The meaning of this video is absolutely beautiful! and the music is perfect! A piece of art !!!!
+Cata Hendrix So, what is the meaning?
+Cata Hendrix The creation of worlds?
+benukysz for me is the creation of everything, the duality, represented by the two gens (green and red) creates everything we perceive.
Dubktza thats interesting. It would be interesting to read more about this, like if you wrote more details about it but that's just me.

Take Care, Take Care, Take Care is a solid masterpiece.

this animation should end at that wooden door on the album cover..the last known surroundings have always been of home home home

Inefable! ❤️💕
This video seems to be a cross between 2001: A Space Odyssey and Roger Dean's Islands In The Sky (his old Yes album cover artwork). Beauty.
***** That's exactly what I thought :)
Bravo !!!
*thunderous applause*
My funeral song
