      I don't mind cussing and swearing unless it gets in the way of the message. In most cases, for what I teach, it gets in the way so I leave it out.

      @@DamonCart Damon thank you for your reply. It is always good to have a personal touch that removes thousands of miles between us. I never swear in my presentations but it is because my Lexicon is rather extensive. However, I am sure you would agree that 9 times out of 10 it may offend someone in your audience as opposed to clean language which would be embraced 10 times out of 10. Just a though hey. ❤😊😊

    This is amazing. It's obvious and everyone knows this, but still don't live it out. I don't think most people even are aware that they create the suffering they are having, by focusing on the things they don't like or want. Thanks for the video. Perhaps writing down what one want and not will make it clearer to see where the problem lies. 😊

      Thank you for the kind words.
      You can use NLP to structure the representations in your mind of what you want so that you focus on them even when you're not conscious of them. Once you do that, you're on autopilot moving toward what you want. Getting what you want doesn't have to be difficult or painful.

    You’ve really evolved in the last 7 years. Love your articulation now. The pauses. The pace. Nice. Thank you.
    Can you help me with something? Do I use the same techniques for a creative pitch as the ones people use for sales? Because in a creative pitch, my work is personal to me. Whereas in sales, I’m just pushing things made/created by others. I ask because you discussed fear. And I assume when things are personal then fear gets in the way.
    I’d love to hear your thoughts .
    Thank you.. again!
    P.S. would love to understand how to make things move in my direction.

    One question that I have, now that you mention unconscious competence is that I’d been trying the swish pattern and it was working well, however when I did it I always had to do it consciously, and it seemed like no matter how many repetitions I did I still couldn’t get it to be unconscious when the trigger pops up and eventually I would just forget to do the swish pattern.

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you practice it enough times and you have no resistance to changing the habit you're wanting to change, it should go unconscious and work even better when it's unconscious. Did you check for and satisfy any incongruence or resistance issues? If there's resistance that you have not integrated, that could cause it not to work.

    Damon, how do you factor trauma as one of the unconscious programs that strongly influences “sabotaging” behavior? Oftentimes this is unconscious and therefore unaddressed.

    It sounds like law of attraction that you’re talking about. It’s similar if not the same as a vision board. It took 7 minutes to get to your point which caused a lot of anxiety for me on whether or not I would have enough time to get to the point bc I have a baby I need to tend to. Instead of discounting law of attraction. What about integrating the ideas of both LOA and NLP? I love your content there’s just a little too much prep talk for me personally. Thanks for the input

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Law of Attraction and NLP are not similar at all and they cannot be integrated unless you think of LoA only as a metaphor, not a law. It is not a law. NLP is specific and depends on actual results. LoA is a vague concept, so vague that it cannot be tested.
      If I just unloaded an answer without the prep, it would be like telling you the punchline to a joke without the setup. You wouldn't get it. Do you only watch the ending of a movie to find out what happens without watching the beginning and the middle? The ending wouldn't make sense.

      Both the vide and the technique are about how and where you focus your attention.

  • @Sadeq231
    @Sadeq231 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great video, question - sometimes I have a fear of public speaking. I get myself to focus mentally on being confident and a good speaker, however, emotionally my nerves still get the best of me. Seems like there is a disconnect. Any tips/guidance?

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      What's wrong with fear? What's wrong with being nervous? I still have fears. I still get nervous. I just don't let it stop me. If fear or nervousness makes me perform poorly, I don't focus on trying to change the fear or nervousness. I focus on improving my skills and abilities so that I know I can depend on them. This puts fear and nervousness in the background rather than the foreground. Trying to rid yourself of fear is impossible, nor would you want to. Fear delivers an important message so keep it as a messenger rather than a master. It becomes your master when you try to change it directly because then you have to feed it so much of your attention. Accept the message fear delivers and use it to advance yourself rather than pull away.
      Also, there's a very thin line between anxiety and excitement. Neurologically is almost exactly the same. Next time you're nervous about something, ask yourself what would it be like if you were excited rather than nervous? A bit of nervousness always helps me when I do public speaking. Find a way to leverage it so that it helps you rather than trying to get rid of it.

    But this is, in fact, the ‘law of assumption’ - taking your attention OFF what you don’t want, and focusing on what you want - Neville Goddard.

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is not. Law of Assumption is about assuming you already achieved what you want and that you already live the life you want to live, etc. This actually kills motivation because, when done correctly, Law of Assumption deludes you into believing you already are something you aren't and that you already have something you don't, which is just "fake it till you make it", which doesn't work either. If you already believe you've achieved something, why would you pursue it?

    But what you DO want, is often Opposite to what you DONT want.

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, but if you're primarily focused on avoiding what you don't want, you're too busy pulling away from it than you are moving toward what you do want. If you want to get what you want, focus on it instead of focusing on avoiding what you don't want.
