Oops on the mistake. Who would have thought a Buick body would have been in that box. Anyway, since the Oldsmobile and the Buick are built on the same chassis they would look very similar, so it’s an easy mistake to make. Making the rear wheel well larger makes perfect sense, and when you line the front ends up, you may not have to do anything to make the Camaro drag chassis fit into the Oldsmobile body. Also, your idea of using another kit to make a piece to fill in the wheel well you have to cut out is a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

It was still a great video. It's the method you're teaching that matters.

Well I miss that too I didn't see it But now I do ,still verry cool how you can mix and match the kits around as long as you have some basic knowledge. And I still stand be hide my first statement that you may not build a lot of kits on your channel , but you give out a ton of knowledge as to what will make building a kit a lot easier thanks again , hey we all make mistakes

I love that 1983 Hurst old kit good for street stock builds and even a box stock build but body frame and some of the suspension is good for a good ole street stock or hobby stock build fill in the door lines and any other lines that represent body gaps that not hood or trunk lid cuse the doors quarters and fenders are all aluminum sheeting that guy's bend and shape to look like a stock 80s style g body metric car body but more racecar looking, that kit is amazing as a donor for a street stock or hobby stock or super stock for asphalt especially. Use the stock lower a arms and fram body and floor board that's all I use out of it for a street stock commission builds rest of it comes from nascar kits or use all stock suspension depends on the class I'm buding pure stock I use all stock suspension just lower it a little and body fill door gap lines and make covers for head lights and tail lights and make front and rear bumper chrome and bumper look like one piece and paint it no chrome anymore on racecars

I think NHRA for Pro Stock & Nascar rule states that the center line of #1 cylinder must be inline with the center line of the axle. One of many current projects is the 1/25 MPC 57 Chevy with the tilt frontend. I have set the ZL1 big block with tunnel ram back 10% which would be .250 (1/4 inch). Aluminum Bare Metal foil on block and heads and I have a 69 ZL1. 3D printed Hooker Headers, 3D printed front leaf springs and actual aluminum tube front axle. Don't need instructions to build 55-57 Chevy's models as my buddies and myself were building real 55-57 Chevy's in the mid to late 60's.

I got three of these kits built one beautiful box stock one and the built two beautiful asphalt oval track sportsman/street stock/ super stock racecar. Reason I listen three different classes cuse some tracks call a super stock a street stock and some call it sportsmen, basically it's a completely built racecar only thing stock about this class is the frame and lower control arms and the roof usually and floor pan that's it rest of it is a hung racing body from aluminum and tube upper control arms and usually a really nice built 400-600 hp Chevy 350 on 8 inch or 10 inch latemodel hooisers

The collector was pulling a BG as he said in the prior model car guys video about when he passes he would remove a part in each kit. Instead this dude wanted to replace the entire body with a different body just to make it more of a fun build. Haha.

That's the correct way to do a real car. Radius wheel wells. Cut a section out and move it forward
