Congrats, you came upon the group with probably the best vocals out of all current K-Pop girl groups - and also the most experimental one. The changeup - that sudden switch to a completely different beat - is their trademark characteristic, and the reason why they themselves call their style "mixpop". They really like mixing (mixxing?) different styles and genres. That got NMIXX (pronounced like "enmix") actually a lot of haters after their debut on 22-2-22; they just do things differently. It's calmed down a bit while everybody got accustomed to this, but that b-word in the end is a not-so-subtle reminder that NMIXX is here to stay and will continue to do their thing (for, erm, plausibe deniability - it is also a reference to the 1973 movie Papillon, which centers around a prison break - like the one the girls do here).
Group members: Lily (the blonde one, half Aussie); Haewon (the speedster in this vid, also leader); Bae (the tall one with short hair); Jiwoo (has the beanie with ears at the start); Sullyoon (beanie with writing); Kyujin (has the bob hairstyle at the start; youngest and most complete allrounder).
"Dash" is the title track of their second mini album Fe3O4: BREAK (yes that's the title). Suggested further watching:

Don't expect that all their titles sound like this one ... as I've said, they are on the experimental side and dip their toes into a lot of different styles. But the vocals are always on point, and the choreos always on the more challenging side as well. Final remarks: they kill it in live performances; and you may also take a look at their stage practice videos - NMIXX is the only group I know of that goes full live vocals during dance/stage practice. It's unreal how stable they are, without mics and in full dancing mode.

Basically, NMIXX is a group that every comback releases something different (it's their concept and their proposal from the beginning). Is the most experimental group today and who really isn't afraid of negative reception. Had one of the most criticized and attacked debuts in the history of kpop. However, this is not much of what the group sells itself to be these days, the group is casually known as "the most talented of the 4th generation", and this stopped being an affirmation of the fandom and started to be a brand of theirs in all the programs they go on, being known by famous brands and programs as the "all rounders" and "the most talented" (at least the two main vocals of the group, Lily and Haewon, are indisputably the strongest vocalists today in terms of vocal technique). And the point is that there is no way to refute this. So much so that another stigma was created for the group as a “standard of quality”. They kind of went against the consensus myths of other fandoms that “if a choreography is too difficult and the vocals are too difficult, it’s okay not to sing live or not sing as well live” or "it's impossible to sustain high notes while jumping" - all of which were recorded in their stage practices (a dance practice with live vocals), in which they were the ones who popularized it. In short, NMIXX is a versatile group specifically focused on varied/experimental music and live performances.

I recommend watching the performance video of Run for roses, this song is different from kpop songs. I also recommend watching the release of bomb 360 "Run for roses". It's incredible, Havon's growl and Lily's even higher note, as well as the improvisation of all the participants, I was shocked. They also have an a cappella version of their album, I recommend watching it to get closer to the beautiful clean vocals that are missing in kpop

With this song Nmixx raises the bar to stratospheric levels in terms of musical quality in Kpop. Mixing hip hop with soul r 'n b flawlessly and dont even got hurt wow that's something ! I hope that people know how to appreciate quality more and not focus so much on outfits. I really liked your reaction because you have focused above all on the music, on the musical genre, on their vocal abilities. If people had greater musical criteria, Nmixx would have to be the number 1 in K-pop today, but no, people prefer others who are prettier and flashier but who musically don't even reach the soles of their shoes.
