Hey bro I just graduated from UC Berkeley and this video really opened my eyes. I think a lot of people think that anyone who is STEM can get an internship or job easily, but it takes a lot of effort. I think it’s amazing that not only are you invested in your technical skills, but you balance it out by truly “never giving up”.

how well did 61B prepare you for technical interviews? Did you find yourself having to do a lot of leetcode on top of what your learned in 61B in order to be prepared for interviews? How would you rate the difficulty of your internship interview questions? Leetcode medium? Thanks so much for a great video dude.

61B prepared me very well in terms of teaching me all of the content necessary. After 61B, knowing the content was not an issue - but then it all comes down to skill at interviewing, in which case 61B in irrelevant.
So yes, 61B did prepare me well, but the course alone isn't sufficient - I did about 80-90 leetcode problems afterwards, but with very calculated approaches for making each of them count. Interview difficulties ranged from Easy to Hard

I only just found your channel and when I saw this I was like, wow, that's pretty crazy. It took me 6 internships to get to any big name; how does one even get all of them? And when you were talking about career fairs and asking your friends and stuff, I was like, wtf? How do you get anywhere like Amazon using those techniques? The more I watched the video, the more confused I got. So I looked up your LinkedIn, and that's when I saw the kicker.
    You went to Berkeley.
Oh, NOW everything makes sense. It's no wonder it was easy to find connections to those companies. I went to a state college in the southeast. I got my first out of state internship through a conference. And I got to that conference because of a scholarship. But when you go to a school like Berkeley, those companies are already recruiting at your school and in your area and finding connections to one is trivial.
It should be common sense to me at this point that if someone has a story like this, they went to some big name tech school and that's why they could do it. The first internship I got was working in a garage for $9/hr managing a small company's WordPress website because that was all I could get lol
"I got rejected by all of these companies at least once before"
    My numbers:
    Google: 7
    IBM: 10
    Amazon: 2
    Facebook: 4
    Microsoft: 3
    Cisco: 5
    Intel: 7
    VMWare: 3
That's off the top of my head at least. My first and only big name internship was at Microsoft. I now work there
