- Let's clean and decorate after Halloween and get ready for Thanksgiving! Don't throw away those Halloween pumpkins y'all! This year I will be doing a two part series for Thanksgiving.. Today we will clean and decorate the entry way and the front porch! I will show you an amazing trick for lighting up your pumpkins on the porch! I know I have a Turkey blow up I love putting out. I see all the TH-cam videos about Christmas decor and it makes me over that already.
That's so refreshing, most people decorate for Christmas right away, I like to take it one season at a time and just slow down and enjoy what's left of fall.
I don’t understand how Americans decorate for Christmas right away . In Canada it’s easier because our thanksgiving is more than a month earlier so we just do fall decor at the beginning of October when thanksgiving is , Halloween, Christmas.
@@Alicia-vq8jg Most Americans get influenced by retail. We see all the seasonal stuff is on sale and we just go along with it. Its crazy!
@@susieq5236 oh me too definitely (I think I’m the only person I know that decorates like I do though for each occasion , maybe one older lady lol . I just find it to be a good way to bring cheer and remember each season as lame as it sounds

So happy to see you again Lauren! Glad you are not skipping over Thanksgiving as well. I like decorating for every holiday & it seems everyone goes from Halloween/Fall to the Christmas season. BTW..I tried putting some bats on my screen windows with the dots that came with them & they all fell off:( Might need to invest in a glue gun. I think Inzo is so cute, likes to be a part of whatever you are doing. Can't wait to try some of your recipes, & decorating tips. Best wishes to you and your family:)
Awww Enzo is so adorable!!! and sure loves spiderwebs. hehe...I love Fall so I am back to fall with a cute stuffed animal turkey in my living room. I won't decorate for Christmas until the day after turkey day. I was thinking of going a little sooner this year, but then I thought its only right to let the turkey have its day too. :-) Plus Fall is my favorite time of year. Love your porch!!! gorgeous! I can't claim to have *enjoyed* taking down my Halloween decor I did it because it was time, not because I was sick of it.
That being said, yes, I do enjoy decorating for Thanksgiving and I think the house has more of the late autumn/Thanksgiving vibe.
Like yourself I decorate for Christmas AFTER Thanksgiving, but I am taking out my Christmas totes and getting things reorganized based upon what themes will be going in what rooms. I'm trying to make the Christmas decorating less chaotic so my husband doesn't lose his mind.

I absolutely love that you decorate for Thanksgiving, its a rare find... I do to!! One thing that really disturbs me is that people decorate for Christmas so early that they rip it all down the day after Christmas, if not Christmas afternoon. Haha my house celebrates Christmas through the 12 days of Christmas. After Christmas, "25th", is when I enjoy Christmas the most! No stress! Enjoy the present! To me Thanksgiving is a precious holiday to be thankful for all God's blessings He provided for me. Thanksgiving alway brings the song I'll fall asleep counting my Blessings that Bing Crosby sings on White Christmas. (I don't know the name of the song.) Happy Thanksgiving!
I used the little black stickies...🤦🏻♀️. Yah..never again‼️‼️ i used my bats out side.and the black stickies left marks ALL over my white door & tan siding..ugh..As cool as it looked for Halloween...Hubs was NOT happy that it left a sticky mess🥺 Goo-gone removed it...so HE was in a better mood🤪...Not sure if a glue gun would hold better outside ❓❓🤔 I live in Iowa & our weather can go from 70 to an ice storm ...What does everyone think 💭❓. So I have a daughter with down syndrome, I told her I was thinking about moving from Halloween decor to Christmas. Her one word response was..."WRONG !" So I'm not going to break tradition; we decorate for Christmas AFTER THANKSGIVING.

I just discovered your channel. I have the exact same timing with my decor! It is satisfying to take down Halloween and put up fall! I add turkeys to the pumpkins to make it more Thanksgiving. I put up my Christmas tree on Thanksgiving, but will put it up the day before this year. Beautiful decor🙂.

October is our sons birthday a week before Halloween. So always decorate for Halloween with the theme for his day. This year it was The Mandalorian🥳I take everything down before I go to bed on Halloween and in the morning pack everything away. I decorate with pumpkins and those stay and I add just a bit of foliage and more candles with timers. I have some faux food I’ve DIYed some time back and just create a little vignette in my kitchen and then latter use them with my gingerbread theme and Santa collection in my kitchen. I like to wait to put our tree up 2 weeks before the holiday and then everything comes down January 2nd with a clean fresh start for the New Year. TYFS and enjoyed Enzos cameos😊stay safe and healthy everyone ❤️

I stuck the bats on a large window using the little sticky pads, it left residual marks which took a bit of work to clean off using an alcohol based window cleaner. Give Enzo a tickle from me, our cat Jim took no notice of our Samhain (Old English word for Halloween) decs.
I wanted to get ideas for Thanksgiving. However, my time is precious and watching anyone undecorate for Halloween is a waste of my time. I never made it to your Thanksgiving decorations.

Love that you do like me. I put up Halloween decor up alone then regular fall decor til turkey day then Christmas decor.😁. I do keep the bats in ziplock so they don't get stuck or lost in all the decor 😀

Don’t spray paint them gold...leave them natural tones or spray paint them charcoal if you went them to match your Xmas decor more

I love taking halloween down and getting back to Fall decor, which I change up a bit for Thanksgiving. I had the same bats in our home and I use painters tape to place, it worked great. I'll be ready for Christmas after Thanksgiving this year for sure! Thank you for sharing!
