Hi there! Thank you so much for watching and subscribing. 💛 I’m having so much fun with my first One Book July. Have you participated before? B6 is such a lovely size! I’m currently in a B6 notebook for my morning pages/journaling and I just love that square-ish shape.
@@elliescorner2019 it's my first year! I'm excited! Doing research, as I'm still not 100% on my setup yet. The B6 size is delightful I agree! Thanks for the support!!!
I have some wrinkles too!! I can try and film it next time I make one, but I’m actually moving out of inserts in September so I’m not sure when that will be. 😬 I’m definitely not an expert, but what I did is cut the strip of tape first, making sure to make it longer than the insert. I work on a surface or counter that I can stick the tape directly on, and I stick the top of it down and then try to stretch it over the cover, pushing the tape down onto the cover from the top (where the tape is stuck to the counter). I hope that helps! Do you have IG? I can always try and film a little demo and send it to you there if that helps!
Ellie’s Corner 👒 I did not stick the tape down first, but I will try to make one as you say on my kitchen counter. And I was thinking of using a plastic spatula to make the tape go down smoother 🦋 I have to outsmart the tape 😆 My Instagram name is sarah7diedrich 👍🏻
I really like the set up of your TN💕! I’m going to watch again for the layouts. I can never figure out how I want to set up a standard TN. I just like the size and end up carrying all kinds of too much stuff! Back to the drawing board for me😆! Thank you for sharing and I hope you have fun💗🤗!
Thank you so much! I’m surprised by how much I like the standard size. Tomorrow I’m going to start trying to figure out my dailies and I’m excited to play around. 😄 Thank you for watching! 💛
i guess im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot my login password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
@Jordan Ahmed i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Hello! new subscriber here. can't believe I haven't found you before...love your videos! Quick ques: I love all of the large size binder clips that you have in each of your set-ups. Where did you get them? I've been looking for large binder clips to use but I can't find the particular kind that i want, but I love the ones you have! Thanks!
Hi!! Nice to meet you and thank you so much for watching.😊 I bought the wire binder clips off of Amazon... I’ll include the link below! 8 Pack Gloss Black Paper and Binder Clips: 2 Large (51mm) and 6 Medium (32mm) | Hollow Fancy Wire Clips for Office Work, School Work, Assignment, Proj www.amazon.ca/dp/B07MDTXGZ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_aZVyTHW2cvmQ7
I was shocked you were changing from pocket. I thought you loved it and since part of OBJ is going back to basics I thought it would be perfect. I will say that last year they did say a lot that there are no rules for OBJ and it’s about doing that you need but trying to go more basic and simplified to get the excess stickers and stuff that take away from the real planning out to focus on the system vs making it pretty etc. or at least that’s what I read/watched. So I don’t think color coding is a bad thing if it helps you truly have a system. Love your Luke’s sticker. On the packing tape - I actually cover the whole inside with packing tape if I’m not using binding tape.
Thanks for the packing tape tip and your thoughts on One Book July! It seems to have structure but a lot of flexibility, which is my ideal situation haha. I definitely do love pocket size but I’m also super comfortable there so I was excited to try something new! I honestly didn’t think I’d like the standard size as much as I do, so I’m even more excited now. I really want to start journaling more consistently so one of the big draws of this size is having more space to journal daily! (It will definitely be strange to put my pocket size away for the month though...🥴) Thank you for watching!! And I’m so happy to have used that Luke’s sticker! Gilmore girls is my comfort show. 🍁☕️👯♀️
Ellie’s Corner I journal in my Stalogy that is my personal planner and I really enjoy it. I keep a separate work and social media planner - work because it stays at work and has confidential stuff in it. And social media because I don’t like that mixed in there plus I needed more space for writing than B6 allows. I do keep a separate diary but that’s my personal private diary. So it doesn’t go anywhere or get seen. I love having personal and home related in one book.
That makes sense! Is your personal Stalogy the one you do Plan With Me videos in? I definitely see the value in separate setups and it helps keep me organized! Right now I can’t work or really go anywhere, so I figure it’s a good time to try having it all in one book! (Except for my morning pages which I would consider a private journal/burn book.)
I love your setup! My one book july system looks exactly like yours! I've never done it before and also wanted to try standard size for the first time ever, so I also got my first standard t.n, 1 booklet and I also chose the uniball signo 😂😂 your cover is collaged so beautifully I love it so much! I'm a little intimidated by this 1 book and new size but I think we can do it, I can't wait to see a flip through and how the size worked for you :)
Great minds!! 😁 I love hearing that someone else will be in a very similar system. Will you be sharing or posting yours anywhere? I’d love to see! I am surprised by how much I love the standard size so far... it will definitely be different but I’m hopeful it’s fun and works well.
Your pages are absolutely beautiful. I use a passport TN as one book all the time after trying it out in 2016 and loving it. I love the Traveler’s Company inserts as well. So much inspiration here. Thank you for sharing your setup. 💕
💛 Thank you so much, I truly appreciate that!! I have to admit I’ve already been tempted by the passport size because I love the leather and the inserts so much! 😅🙈 It sounds like you’ve found a system that works for you, and passport looks like such a great size. And one book! 🤤 I’m usually in pocket size and I always love to see other people who plan in small sizes! Do you post pictures of your setup anywhere??
Ellie’s Corner I have really tiny handwriting, so that helps with the size for sure. I’m butterflyknit on Instagram. I haven’t posted setup pics (usually just planner cover pics), but maybe I’ll try to this week! I’ll tag you when I do. I use dot grid Traveler’s Company inserts, one for monthly/daily pages, one for a journal/notes, and one for collections/reference. I keep three vertical list monthlies, one for planning, one for one-word gratitude, and one for books read. I vary between weekly and daily, but right now I’m using a day per page with an hourly schedule on one column and to do/notes on another. Very very simple fountain pen scribbles and paper layouts - I’ve gotten away from stickers and washi over the past couple of years, but I love your simple/minimal use of both.
Oooooh that sounds SO functional and lovely!! I’ve found you on IG and yes, please do tag me if you share! Also, it’s always nice to meet a fellow Canadian planner!
In terms of pens I'm going in the opposite direction of you! After using gel pens incl. the Uniball Signo and fountain pens since I started, I recently picked up a Uniball Jetstream. I didn't colour code because the gel pens would smear under highlighter, but now I'm thinking I want to try colour coding and the jetstream is perfect for that. For OBJ it seems I am doing/using more rather than doing less, but that still is in the spirit of OBJ as I'm doing something different from what I normally do. And I have a project in mind for OBJ, but still planning that out!
Oh that’s so funny that we’re doing the opposite with our pen choices! 😁 I hope you love the Jetstream - it will always be one of my all time favourites. I like the perspective that OBJ is about doing something different than you usually do... like I mentioned, I felt like my setup was more simple and also more elaborate haha. I will definitely be on the lookout for when (if?) you share your project!! Thank you for watching! ☺️
@@elliescorner2019 I do want to share the project soon! I'm moving into a new bullet journal for July, and that is a project in itself, I have to finish that up first hehe!
Fantastic video! After being against it for years, I’m now convinced to try #OneBookJuly. I have about a dozen notebooks & planners spread out in different sizes for 2020 (pocket, a6, weekly, and B6), which has made me feel overwhelmed lately. This really is a great excuse to temporarily move to a single system and attempt new layouts to help me figure out my 2021 path. Wonderful explanation on how to consolidate and use #OneBookJuly to try new things. Thank you so much!
I’m so happy you’ll be trying it too! I definitely hear you on feeling overwhelmed. I was moving along okaaay but this just seems so refreshing and motivating and EASY! I’m really excited to get into it and see how it goes. Thank you for watching! 🤗
Hi! Are you a fellow curly girl?? If so, I’m sure you’ll understand when I tell you that my method is STILL trial and error and my results are always different. 🤣😅 I also want to mention that I’m not strictly curly girl because I will straighten my hair every so often, especially in the winter, but I am silicone and sulfate free (as far as I can tell!) Were you interested in products I use or how I apply them? If you have IG feel free to dm me, or I’m happy to answer here! 😊
Ellie’s Corner I’m more of a wavy girl but I have done no Sulfate and silicons since late August last year. Finally I’m getting the hang of it now and finding a routine that works for me. But I still think it’s fun to see others routines and what works or not.
I love seeing other people’s routines too! I follow a couple of curly girls on Instagram and love seeing what everyone uses. I usually clarify once a month, and deep condition once or twice a month. I rotate through a few different products. After washing and conditioning I typically use some sort of cream (leave in conditioner or a curl activating cream) plus gel on top of it! I put all products in my hair when it’s soaking wet and then brush it through, scrunch it, plop it, and air dry or diffuse, depending on the time of year. How about you??
Maybe it’s a sign!! 😉 I am pleasantly surprised by how much I love the standard size and I’m really excited to get into it and play around this month! I’ll keep an eye out to see what you end up doing! Thank you for watching! ☺️
Your notebook is so lovely🌸💕
Thank you so much!! ☺️
