    Love Redcat Tornado, I own 2 of them, one is 5 yrs old and my 2nd one I've had for 6 months. Both are 3s and clock in at 53 mph and with Duratrax ST tires about 56, both cars are mainly ran on the street or in parking lots and have a great center of gravity. I started with rc racing in the early 80's and this buggy for the price range and performance you can't beat. Dad's if you buy one for your kid, buy 2 because you will end up playing more with it than your kids or grandchildren!

    Awesome buggy. Love the paint scheme and suspension. It's quit similar to a Sunfire. Thanks for sharing. I was looking for another Sunfire and really there were not many to choose from compared to the Redcat. Awesome 👍👍

    I agree about the programing.. I'm same way. Spent a bunch on flysky trans and receiver when I should have just got a simple dumbo rc tran and rec. All that programing is nuts and complicated and can be confusing

    I just order the HSP version, super excited. I am planning on putting 1/8 wheels on it.

    Nice video. Can the shocks be upgraded and if so what would be recommended for better shocks?

    Is it supposed to make that grinding sound when you roll it? My blackout pro does that but I mean it runs great

    • @ThirdCoastRC
      @ThirdCoastRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I forgot to mention it has steel spur and pinion. It's a little noisy rolling it. But it's absolutely normal on this buggy. On a blackout then they can be a little noisy too as the spur pinion gear wear. Just check there are no little rocks in the mesh. The blackout uses coarser 08 pitch gears, and can on occasions catch a small piece of grit, and that will often make a significant noise.

      @@ThirdCoastRC mine did it straight out the box

      @@geekkrew2522 On the blackout if it's running OK, I would not worry about it too much. Exact source on noise on an RC drive train can be tricky to pin-point sometimes. You can always remove the pinion gear and see how noisy the drive train is without the motor connected to it. That's always a good thing to do to see if anything is binding up in the drive train.

    Volcano chassis and running gear

    • @ThirdCoastRC
      @ThirdCoastRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Slightly different chassis, arms and shocks, but yes, several a number of parts are shared with the Volcano EPX Pro.

      This same chassis is branded in many different brands. Redcat just uses this generic chassis. It's also known as exceed and hsp hi speed. All same car with different body color schemes.

      That's not true, they've made good and bad stuff like every company. They've been getting significantly better with quality that last few years.
