Living her own life to make the best out of it, and for a lot of people that means having a stable job
At this point she's probably rich af. She doesn't need that job anymore. She could go work for DanBam if she wants to and be perfectly fine. They're just doing this dumb "oh I'll make you quit" thing for pointless drama.
@PiecefulKaos If her money's tied with that that company or she tries to leave that company, you think that old man gonna let her go like that especially with how valuable she is, thinking she is a dog he raised you are sadly mistaken
@@dancecrazed Not sure what you mean. I have a really small salary and have been able to save up tens of thousands of dollars in less than a decade, with thousands more in a retirement account and a few thousand in speculative investments. Someone like Soo-ah with a much better salary than me who has been working for a decade or more and with supposedly good business sense should be able to do way better than this.
Not gonna lie Yi-Seo for me in this show was bouncing back and forth for me if I like her or not🤣😭😭she was 50/50 for me for the most part until later on
yeah I thought she got her position back way too fast but maybe it's the way the video is edited, like a simple I’m sorry and a post (which didn't have correct information) isn't enough for me
Yeah, that bothered me all throughout my first watch, but I think it speaks true to the traits of her character. That being putting herself first no matter what she thinks or how she feels in the moment, because she's her own asset so to speak. At least the one most likely to bring better long-term invest in comparison to everything else. Personally I also think there's some fear to this aversion to admit her feelings as well, considering acknowledgement encourages action and he's partially her weakness even if (or should I say especially because?) he doesn't act against her.
Sadly this club situation has happened to me and friends of mines a few times in South Korea. It can be partially blamed on some encounters with military and blah blah but it’s bs. When they hard up for money, the same place begging for you to come in😅 From this episode, moves start being made imo. Yi-Seo is helpful in many ways in the future but man is she irritating. Thanks for watching!
@evameva totally! Sorry that happened to you. Age isn't safe either. Odd because 36 isn't old haha. Although expensive, we try I like places with late twenties/thirties crowd.
But I still want an explanation why black people and Arab can’t enter the club? Well I kinda get it on Arab but black peoples? That’s racist lol. The producer is kinda troll his own country law.
Korean clubs sometimes reject foreigners. This applies not only to blacks, whites, and Hispanics, but also to Japanese people who look similar to Koreans. In most cases, it is not because of a rejection of a particular race, but because the legal punishment can be complicated when a problem occurs. In addition, unlike the United States, Korea is a homogeneous society, so if you look at other races, you think that you are a foreigner unconditionally. (In the past, USFK had a problem at a club in Korea, and there was a case where the court punishment for this case was difficult.) Of course, these are few and far between, most clubs welcome foreigners.
That's a lie about the Japanese part. If you look like you could pass as a Korean they'll let you in. Especially if you're attractive. Also listen to actual foreigner experiences. People have seen their white friends get let in while they were stopped because they're black /middle Eastern
I think i should probably clarify as there's a lot of confusion in the story with Toni's actor being full black: Toni's character is meant to be biracial Half Korean Half black but since foreigner casting in Korea is very limited to mainly white people, they couldn't find someone who looked the part at that moment. So that's why they went with Chris Lyon as the actor. Luckily now there are a few more black/Korean biracial people in the Korean entertainment industry. Im just confused on why they didn't cast Hyunmin, but it's possible he wasn't available at the time. But yes, Toni is meant to be biracial but obviously they had to work with what they had.
43:00 he’s not french though he’s african, guinea is still in africa even if french is a language of the country. so he still would have been rejected from the club based on his official documents. and i think he’s so fixated on having his korean side acknowledged because he misses his dad so much, that’s the only thing that can connect them together.

I've never liked Yi-Seo or understood her perspective. She's an annoying, entitled, recklessly selfish little girl. Saying she gave up everything for him had no bearing on how Saeroyi should treat her. He didn't know this girl, neither did he ask her for anything. She came to him because he tickled some part of her fucked up psyche and started acting like she knows what's best for him and only she does. Lets not forget her kissing him without his consent and being way too obsessive over him when he has shown no interest in her that way. Also while Soo-ah pisses me off and is in the wrong off rip just for going to work with Jangga over 10 years ago, I cannot fault her for not leaving the security and certainty of her job/ career especially as someone with no family of her own. There's nuance you have to make room for in the capitalistic society we all live in, because if we were to treat this like it's real life, I don't know that I can hold it against her. To survive and somewhat thrive with her background, she made the best decision she could have working for Jangga.
