Just keeping this song alive. I died the same month with a cardiac arrest, but God was gracious enough to send someone to revive me after 10 mins. Therefore Christina's songs and death bring me to tears because it reminds me that I'm still here but that Christina isn't any longer. It reminds me that God has given me a second chance to live and that I need to make a difference. Live on Christina in our hearts, your life meant something to a lot of people. You were a true ambassador for Christ in the short time you were here. I intend to return here every year to do this while I live.

I was doing homework in the other room from the TV room, whom my dad was watching The Voice in, and when she came on I stopped what I was doing and came to watch and immediately recognized her. I was so happy for her, but sad because of how mainstream she'll become and how many more fans she'll get that have found her talent when I've been subscribed for over a year, maybe one and a half to two years even.

To have such a kindhearted, friendly, and lovely personality with an incredible talent and legacy, whom has inspired so many of us... there is a part of me that is so frustrated that she didn't get the success she deserved, with none of her songs charting and ultimately being dropped from her record label. She never received the attention she deserved, and now to receive it in such a negative way... But there's another part of me with belief. Grimmie didn't need a successful career to be successful. To the people who knew her music, she already made her mark on them; 3.2 million being an official number for TH-cam alone. I don't give a damn if her songs didn't get popular, because a message doesn't have to be said by a "popular" figure to be conveyed to millions of people. Her life mattered, and it was abruptly ended. With little time for break, she made the most of her life, and by 22 years old, she inspired. Everyone in the world matters to at least someone, guaranteed. I believe she knew this, and with this knowledge, sprinted into the unknown and made effort to inspire as many as she could in the time she had. I believe she had awareness to the fact that it could all be over one day, that something would ultimately end her career for good, so she used that to motivate herself to make every day worth every single minute. I've been depressed and unmotivated to do anything. I just wallowed around all day because of my depression. It was hard to do anything since I was so sad that the person who has inspired me the most is gone. But I realized that even though she's gone, her inspiration to me shouldn't be. Personally, I don't think she was making the most of her time to gain popularity. From what she's said in her vlogs, it seems like she just wanted to display her message, regardless if people like her or not. She seemed like the type true to herself and inspired others. I am one of those people who never got hooked on Christina's music until her death; which speaks volumes about her amazing spirit. So many are forgotten in death, but not her; like a Christ, she brought more together in her death. I completely understand the heartbreak total strangers feel about her passing. I feel it too. I hold back these tears. They are those mixed kind of tears that well up from tremendous devastation, but are sustained by my bursting heart when I hear her voice. It's happiness uncontained. This song of her's in particular grabs me deep within. Can anyone tell me about this song? What is she singing about? Did she write it? It is such a powerful song I can't believe this voice is gone. Therefore Christina's songs and death bring me to tears because it reminds me that I'm still here but that Christina isn't any longer. I just start thinking how she teached me to be myself and how when i am asking who i am or do stuff i don't want to or want something and don't do it or when i feel bad for myself she comes to my mind and reminds me that she is there and I remember her words and it all matters again... I was doing homework in the other room from the TV room, whom my dad was watching The Voice in, and when she came on I stopped what I was doing and came to watch and immediately recognized her. I was so happy for her, but sad because of how mainstream she'll become and how many more fans she'll get that have found her talent when I've been subscribed for over a year, maybe one and a half to two years even.
So.... you're sad because she's becoming successful? Or because you realise that writing this makes you sound incredibly hipster the way that you "liked her before it was cool". What sort of fan are you where you don't want her to become popular and successful?

I've looked up to her since I was 10 years old. She's the reason I carried on singing when people told me I was a load of crap, I wanted to be just like her. She was so inspiring and a huge influence on my life. I live in the UK and just woke up to the news and I'm so shocked, angry and confused. 22 is far too young to be taken, she's already influenced the lives of so many, just imagine what she was going to do. It's awful and quite frankly disgusting. Rest in peace.

I don't believe I can explain my view on this better than with the word many others have used "shocked". To have such a kindhearted, friendly, and lovely personality with an incredible talent and legacy, whom has inspired so many of us... there is a part of me that is so frustrated that she didn't get the success she deserved, with none of her songs charting and ultimately being dropped from her record label. She never received the attention she deserved, and now to receive it in such a negative way...
But there's another part of me with belief. Grimmie didn't need a successful career to be successful. To the people who knew her music, she already made her mark on them; 3.2 million being an official number for TH-cam alone. I don't give a damn if her songs didn't get popular, because a message doesn't have to be said by a "popular" figure to be conveyed to millions of people.
Her life mattered, and it was abruptly ended. With little time for break, she made the most of her life, and by 22 years old, she inspired. Everyone in the world matters to at least someone, guaranteed. I believe she knew this, and with this knowledge, sprinted into the unknown and made effort to inspire as many as she could in the time she had. I believe she had awareness to the fact that it could all be over one day, that something would ultimately end her career for good, so she used that to motivate herself to make every day worth every single minute.
I would like to announce something here. The gesture of spreading awareness with the hashtag of #RIPChristinaGrimmie... it is very generous, and it's great that people are showing their support for those distraught in these times. However, I never did like the abbreviation "RIP". I understand what it stands for, but when abbreviated, it seems to remove its "peaceful" intention and replaces it with intensity. I could give my support by not abbreviating it... but I feel I should do much more.
*So allow me to prove to all of you that Christina Grimmie; everything about her and what she stood for... allow me to prove that it did inspire all of us, and I will show you all personally.*
Within the next few days, I would like to create a video paying my respects to Christina Grimmie, and showcasing her impact on people's lives. I want to create a memorial for her, per say, because I would like to give my support to all of the people who ever was brought motivation, inspiration, joy, or any positive emotion whatsoever through Grimmie's actions.
If you would like to help, you can send me a video of you or someone else personally explaining how Christina Grimmie personally meant to you. Please help me make this video, united as one passionate force to prove to people that she meant something, and continue her legacy through whatever we do in life.

I've been depressed and unmotivated to do anything. I just wallowed around all day because of my depression. It was hard to do anything since I was so sad that the person who has inspired me the most is gone. But I realized that even though she's gone, her inspiration to me shouldn't be.
Personally, I don't think she was making the most of her time to gain popularity. From what she's said in her vlogs, it seems like she just wanted to display her message, regardless if people like her or not. She seemed like the type true to herself and inspired others. That was something that I truly looked up to and something that truly inspired me. It's so sad to see one of the few people I looked up to is now gone. She was truly of pure-heart and I am sure she is in a better, happier place now.

I can't help to think that's exactly where she was meant to be. With God! I was devastated when I found out about her death. I have been listening to her music since I was 12 years old. I'm now 17.

was subscribed to her since the days she only started doing covers and her sonic poster was behind her and she wasn't famous, people loved her so much, after The reality show she became more famous and I kinda drifted a part from her but when she released this album, I had to check it out and I was instantly inlove with it, beautiful voice, beautiful and talented girl. when my younger sister texted me what happened to her, I instantly started crying, I never knew her personally, but I feel like I was part of her journey...saw her growing and learning. she was an amazing person, with beautiful voice and beautiful soul although I'm not a believer like she was, but I truly am hopeful that she's in a good place and happy. she didn't (and no one) deserved that. her happy ending shouldn't be somewhere spiritual or whatever, her happy ending should've been here, on this earth. this is so unfair, life is so unfair, and 2016 is already half way to 2017 and it already feels like a horrible year.

I am one of those people who never got hooked on Christina's music until her death; which speaks volumes about her amazing spirit. So many are forgotten in death, but not her; like a Christ, she brought more together in her death. I completely understand the heartbreak total strangers feel about her passing. I feel it too. I hold back these tears. They are those mixed kind of tears that well up from tremendous devastation, but are sustained by my bursting heart when I hear her voice. It's happiness uncontained. This song of her's in particular grabs me deep within. Can anyone tell me about this song? What is she singing about? Did she write it? It is such a powerful song I can't believe this voice is gone. I can't be angry because it never helps me go in the direction I know I need to go. So I just feel this thing inside, like a piece of what she wanted to share with others. I hope down the road her family and friends can create a more indepth story of her life and share her as a messenger for those things that were far greater.

The first time I ever saw Christina was in her "Year Without Rain" video. I followed her as she grew, and developed. I watched as she got a better camera, better equipment, new room, more duets with other youtubers, and finally found herself on The Voice, singing in front of America the way she always deserved to. When I hear this album my heart aches because she was robbed of the amazing career and fulfilling life she would have had. I have no words strong enough to express how much I regret what happened to her. God blessed the world with Christina, and as a part of my childhood, I will always love her.
