I'm actually fighting depression. My dad died last summer and it is very difficult for me because I'm making panic attacks every time and even when I go to school. School stresses me a lot and even though it's my last year, I feel like I'm not able to go through it. But at the same time, I know there is no other way to end up with high school. I'm lost and sometimes I feel like giving up. Not killing myself, but just lying on my bed all day. I guess that's normal, that's the grief but it's so difficult. I know I'm going to go through this, and one day I'll look back and say "I made it", but for now I need to stay strong and keep moving forward because that's what I'm supposed to do. Life goes on and I have no other choice than to do the same. You help Demi, as you help a lot of other people. I wish there was singers or stars like you that were engaged in that kind of projects in France... One of my dream is to become a writer or a singer, or both. And you can be sure that as soon as I'll become famous (hopefully I will) I'll try my best to help people as much as you do. You're a beautiful person, inside and outside. I love you ❤️

Thank you Demi. I'm not ashamed of my anxiety disorder because I know it will make me stronger and it has already made me more compassionate and understanding of others with mental illness. I think a lot of people who have never experienced mental illness, whether it be themselves or someone they care about, are the ones who feed the stigmas and don't bother to understand mental illnesses. But it's so important that it keeps getting talked about because it, unfortunately, affects way too many people every day. I wish mental health services were available more, and as easy for people to attain as it is to just walk into the doctors office. A lot of people don't know where to go, who they should talk to. And like you said, some people go a long time without answers and I want people to feel that relief that you and I have both felt from actually having a diagnoses and being able to accurately move forward in our recovery and treatment. I have to pay so much every time I go to a therapy appointment, and I'm only able to go once a month because I don't have insurance right now. Some places don't even accept insurance so you're stuck paying over $100 every visit. Everyone should be able to afford treatment and get well again. Knowledge about mental illnesses is so important and I thank you for learning all that you can so that you can be a better advocate, teacher, and friend to all of us. You are my role model, and I admire your confidence and your strength. Together, we can all change the way the world views mental illness. Love you Demi. And thank you again.

i seriously am at my worst right now with my illness, contemplating ending it, but luckily i know that is not a great idea. i have stopped going to school i have no friends and i do not know what to do anymore and my family are so angry and frustrated at this whole situation and i dont know what to fucking do. i didnt write this for sympathy or attention thats stupid i just needed to vent. and i love demi but i need a real escape not just a youtube video.
if that's the case, you may want to seek professional treatment. it may seem scary, but working with doctors and the people trained for this can really help you figure out how to combat your illness.
Grace ivy, there are many people out there who care about you and what you are going through. They just need to know what you are going through to give you the support and help you are seeking. Many Dr's and other healthcare workers are very passionate about mental illness, ik it is scary to get help, i suffered in silence for over 20 years before seeking help. I first mentioned it to my Dr, he was not as passionate as I would have liked and you may find that with a lot of ppl but don't stop looking for the right ppl who care and can help they are there. 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433) and 1-800-273-TALK (8255) are two national number that may be able to help you find a suitable health care worker that can provide you with relief from your symptoms, and if you are a minor try and get your parents/guardians to listen to you. and let them know you need help.

Have you met anyone that has connections with places that has inpatient and residential help for eating disorders but they need to except Medicaid as I have Virginia Medicaid do to disability and I have started to give up as there is no hope for me.
