I got a chuckle when the announcer said the track was rougher than a Mexican jail. Big shout out to Brad Berry doing his best to hang with the super late models with a steel engine.
I didn't catch the announcer saying that and would have busted out laughing if I would have.. I bet every driver in that race felt they had been beat up, especially Freeman and every driver that finished the race.
Man, that was one tough race!!! The good news is that you all survived and the car made it through in one piece. Hopefully, you guys will be able to look back in November and say that toughing it out on May 13th went a long way towards making your season successful. I subscribed in the afternoon of 5-13-23 and I am glad that I did. 2nd place in a race like that one is a huge accomplishment. Lots of people can ride a horse; only a few can ride a bucking bronco!!!! Way to go Joseph and the entire HTF Team!

We ran into that last year at Spoon River, it was going to be hammer down cowboy up then it rained for a few hours and it was the smoothest track we'd ran on at Spoon River in years.
Wow, seeing that right rear sheer off live was... absurd, that track was what you were racing more than each other. that sucked. way to weather that storm! (good choice to pull out the backup longhorn :) )

That was just about as bad if not worse than what we had to race on there a few weeks ago! The water table is way too high there right now. Lots of water underneath. Probably won’t be right til mid summer! Keep diggin fellas!

That track was brutal and I suggest y'all check every nut, bolt, and part on that car for the beating it took!! Joseph you did awesome to finish 2nd. Can't complain about that finish at all... the top 10 done top-notch stuff!!! Good run to Joseph & Bo; definitely a handful and then some! Can't bitch about the track either; track crews done well for what they had to deal with. Dirt is some fascinating stuff and odd at times --- the amount of water that gets "into" the track (above optimum) is hard to deal with. Surface seems to be good but underneath is a different story; the more travel and beating - the more fluid it becomes (soft). At least with all the rain, still got the race in!!! Let's Gooooooo!!!! Be Safe

Joseph will need a ice bath after this one. Dang every lap was like riding a bull for 16 seconds the good thing was it only went 1-2 laps at time till the last run which was 4-5 laps. Hope f-1 is okay as well as all the other drivers and their equipment. 50 laps on that track would have hurt more drivers and more equipment, good call to cut it to 30. Unless that motor makes more horsepower than the Dicken's, displacement doesn't mean a thing. If it's a hooked up track - use your highest horsepower/torque car. My guess is that the Jay motor makes more than the Dale engine. SB2 heads were great 10 years ago, but don't let cubic inches determine what car you are gong to run.
Yes the Jay Dickens engine makes more hp and torque than the Dale engine that's why it's the primary engine... but from what the announcer said this was the backup car with the Dale engine
That was a rough track the rates on I wouldn't have been able to race on it if I was a race car driver but I'm not I'll leave that up to y'all but I want to be one day get a car and get out there and race that takes talent for y'all to drive on that race track as rough as it was good job on the second-place finish
The Freeman flip I could be mistaken, but it looks like he lost the tire before he hit any hole. He was just in the pits what.....two laps before the flip for a flat RR tire. So the question now is did it have the lug nuts on or did it breaj the rim/axke?
The track should never determine a race, Drivers should win and lose on their own accord. the track owes it to you boys to do better... that dirt clay mix is WAY off! well done Boys glad you survived it.

I think southern dirt is a whole lot softer than dirt in the north
