I'm a nurse working on the frontline in a hospital during the covid 19 pandemic. It's been eye opening, and horrifying and anything that bolsters the resolve is so desperately needed and this is one of the songs that gets me into work everyday. Its been eye opening, the people I've worked with for years who got cold feet and quit or found a way onto safer units, and the ones who have stepped up. Its terrifying out there but, we'll get through while the world's spinning out of control

One Tree Hill is my favorite TV show, and Gavin DeGraw is my favorite singer. He has such a beautiful voice. His music has such an impact on me, and a bunch of others. When I first heard his song "I don't want to be" I knew he had a shot at being an amazing singer. I've looked up to him since 2002. Love this guy.

My mom always told me that “I’ll never leave your side, no matter what. Cause I’m your soldier.” For an entire year she went on telling me she was my soldier. I never understood why, but the day she passed away in my arms, she asked me: “will you still allow me to be your soldier?” I cried and said yes, then she said “I’ll be your soldier” those were her last words, as she passed. A year or so later I found a album of Gavin degraw in one of my moms private boxes. I found a music player and listened trough the entire album, it was then I figured. She had such a strong connection to this song,it was impossible for her to describe it. She figured she could show it by being my soldier. In a way of telling me she’ll always be there...

I love this song I couldn't help but listen to this song. This is the first time I've heard it and I'm so glad I did. I will fight for every last one of you. I'm in the Army it is now my way of life finding so many wonderful people in this world I wouldn't want to fight for anyone else. Thank you everyone for your support for the military. Gavin is super talented and also really appreciates his fans. We had the chance to see Gavin live in Connecticut on May 13th 2022 at the Ridgefield Playhouse. My girlfriend Francine absolutely loves Gavin ( and so do I ) so we made our way to the stage and watched as he greeted each and every fan. When it was Frans turn, Gavin chatted with her and gave generously of dis time. Besides being super talented, Gavin is so down to earth and kind.
I never heard of you until Needtobreathe's Brother song, but I absolutely love your voice and this song!!! I had many by my side through the 2 battles of Endometrial cancer and they were by my side the whole time. I am now 2 years cancer free and its all because of God almighty and the help of those soldiers.

Just because a singer is not well known it means he is good ? Or because he or she is famous it means they suck ? Adele is an amazing singer. I just don';t like her songs. Speaking of. The first 3 records of Gavin are absolutly incredible. But since free he hasn't released a single good song. Chariot Stripped will always be my Nr. 1 album but I never been so disappointed in an artist like I am with Gavin.
