First off, let me just say thank you about a million times for all the content you provide. I cannot tell you how incredibly helpful your videos have been to me as a freelance web designer who is just starting out. Every video is so well made and produced and all the information is detailed and answers all my questions, so once again, thank you so so much, subscribed immediately! As a designer, I love working with Webflow because of how much I can customize. However, since a lot of clients don't have the budget to pay for Webflow hosting and transferring websites from Webflow even with their WordPress plugin is kind of a headache, I've recently learnt how to use Elementor and I love the options it offers. As you said in the video, it's better to pick one theme and do it well, so what are your thoughts on Elementor, its pro version and its use as a theme to build high quality, customizable wordpress websites? Also, would you consider making a dedicated video comparing page builders like Divi and Elementor for WordPress?
I gotta be honest, Elementor is a blind spot for me. I have little experience with the free version, but it's not a plugin I've used often. My greatest knowledge is with WP Bakery. I would love to make a video comparing Elementor, WP Bakery, and Divi. I added that idea to my list!
Thanks, great Video. Can you make a explaining tutorial about Salient, how itworks, how to build a Homepage??? There are no good Videos on youtube and i‘m a little bit confused about Salient.

I understand that I need to spent some money as an investment but how to make it smart? :) Cheers from Poland.
Hey Michał, Great questions! First, the extended theme license for $2-3k I believe is intended for users paying to interact with your website. So instead of you needing to pay that fee for using a theme on an eCommerce site, I believe it’s referring to using the theme to host a private membership site which the user must pay for to access? But that could be wrong, and honestly, most people don’t pay close enough attention to that fine detail and end up using the regular license. That is correct, you need one license per theme for themes on Themeforest, so that’s $60 per site. If you are making many websites, a theme like Divi or Astra may make sense since you can buy a lifetime license once and use it on unlimited websites.

I'm wondering about WP bakery though? My professional collegue said it makes cluttered code and that it doesn't play well with other themes (if you want to change later).
I would agree with both points. WP Bakery can make cluttered code, and it doesn't play well with other themes. It's not WP Bakery directly, but the fact that each theme uses their own proprietary elements instead of WP Bakery's standard elements. If you used WP Bakery standard elements, it theoretically would be a reasonably smooth transition to other themes, but then you'll be limited in other ways. Craylor, what do you think about the following themes/page builders? I am trying to build an educational/ comparison site for investors, with some affiliate links thrown in I am torn, however, between Thrive Theme builder/Architect with its rich marketing toolset, or a cheaper solution like Divi or Kadence w/ a page builder such as Elementor.
I'm not familiar with those themes, so it's hard for me to give input. Since you're needing a comparison element, it sounds like you'll need some plugins to handle that. I would just get a theme with a solid reputation that has the graphic elements you're looking for. No matter which theme you pick, they'll be a learning curve, and you'll have to invest time to get it setup to your liking.
Please make more content on WP Bakery tips and tricks. I've found scarce content about it and wish to learn more. Hi! I just got wordpress but i'm having a difficult time getting used to it. Squarespace is really easy for me to use but im really conflicted on which one to choose. Would you reccomened squarespace for a blog and do you know if it can be easily monetized? D:
If and only if your website's primary purpose is to be a blog, I would recommend sticking with WordPress. If your website is a corporate or brand site but also has a blog as a feature, I would go with whatever you prefer. Squarespace is great for company sites, but WordPress is far superior for blogging in my experience. Do note that I am biased, because while I have used Squarespace for testing, 100% of my websites are WordPress.
Thanks for the video Christian! If I buy the Salient theme, will I also need to purchase the WPBakery builder for 49 USD and a host as well? Also, regarding the free themes, which ones do you recommend for ease of customization? Thank you!
HI, I loved your video! I am a marketer for a small dental practice and want to redo their site completely. I am stuck on what premium wordpress theme to invest in. Would you suggest me investing in a Dental theme that is made directly for dentists? Or should I go with one of these themes where I can customize everything? Thanks!
Hi Ashleigh! I left a reply to your comment on another video :) To add to it, if you have any specific features you need in your website that stand out in a dental specific theme, that's something to evaluate and see how these "super themes" compare. But overall, I would strongly suggest picking a "super theme" and putting in the time to customize it to fit your branding.
It's under the main settings panel. Check the theme documentation here, and if you're still lost, I'd recommend contacting their support. themenectar.com/docs/salient/theme-options/typography/
Salient or Divi. Salient because I've been a user for years and I've watched the developer release update after update and maintain it. Divi because they have an entire team of people working on one theme, and it's much the same story. You need to use a theme you know you can rely on to get updates for years in the future if you are going for longevity.

Hello, CT. Do you think uploading protest videos, or 1st amendment Audit video to a web hosting YT channel a good idea? Is it too off topic? In your opinion. Would you do it?
Hi there! In my experience, it's best to pick a general niche and stick to it on TH-cam. If your channel focuses on web hosting, I wouldn't change the content that drastically. I would start a new channel and build a new audience, and I think both channels will perform best in the long run. Just keep in mind that due to the sensitive nature of your content, the TH-cam algorithm may suppress it and you may be ineligible to be monetized.
@@Craylor You have a lot of subscribers. I never started a business before. I've never had to advertise or market anything. Where do you suggest Google ads, indeed, monster, facebook. Where should I start. Should I pay advertising on all platforms? Thank you.
How much it cost to buy a website using Wordpress themes. I’m trying to build a memorial items store with personalized items but I have no computer skills
You're typically looking at about $60 for the average paid WordPress theme. Your domain and web hosting will add up to around $50/year, so you're probably looking at $110 up front for the first year, then $50/year for each year after that.
Sorry to hear that! WordPress can be intimidating and has a high learning curve. Nothing wrong with using Weebly or another website builder if it works well for your needs!
Hmm, you could look at Extra by Elegant Themes. Otherwise, look at top rated / best selling themes on Themeforest like Aveda / Salient / TheGem and see if any of them offer a news/magazine type demo that suits your needs.
For Salient and TheGem, it's a one-time purchase. You get 6 months of support and can pay for additional support, but (1) this is optional and you continue to receive software updates for the lifetime of the theme, and (2) most theme developers offer to help you even after the support plan expires. Divi from Elegant Themes is a yearly subscription or a lifetime purchase. It's much more expensive, but it can be used with unlimited websites. Salient and TheGem can only be used with one website per license.
I don't have personal experience with Astra, but it looks to have a decent reputation. Just keep in mind that it's a freemium theme. A lot of features are locked behind the Pro version, and their Pro version is an annual subscription or an expensive one time fee. If you are content with the free features, great. But if you think you might want the Pro features - either research it and make sure you're ok with ultimately paying for it now, or find a different theme. The last thing you want is to create 70% of your website and feel forced to pay for the premium version to finish it off only to avoid having to re-create the site entirely with a different theme.
@@Craylor it's a valuable insight, specially your last paragraph. I didn't pay attention to this before beginning. That's why I follow you. Thank you brother ♥️ keep rocking 🔥🙏
Yes, but the modification part is a bit strange, as there are a lot of options that I don't know what they do and where do I need to go to change a specific thing that I need to change, etc...
Hmm... I find that I prefer a good old backend block builder over visual builders! If you want a front end builder, I absolutely agree that Elementor is superior. I'm working on a comparison video of WP Bakery, Elementor, and Divi :)
Hey Gabriel! I'm not familiar with Savoy, but I have used Avada before. In my opinion, I prefer Salient over Avada because I've learned WPBakery (3rd party common website builder), and Salient uses WPBakery. Avada uses their own custom page builder which I didn't care for as much. With that being said, Avada is a popular "mega theme" that has been around for years, so the code quality and customer support is absolutely there. You can't go wrong with either one, but I definitely like Salient!
Don’t buy from Envato! No documentation! If you want to know how to customize your theme, and know how it works, then go find theme somewhere else NOT Envato
Documentation is actually the responsibility of the theme developer - Envato is just a marketplace for theme developers to list their theme. Credible options like Salient, TheGem, or Aveda have detailed documentation included in the download, and developer customer support who can help guide you if there's something that wasn't included in the documentation.
Yes - I am an influencer like every person on the platform. You came hoping to see me influence you about Astra and Elementor Pro, but I influenced you based on *my personal experience* - and that's what you want. Someone who speaks from their point of view and doesn't just say whatever the highest bidder paid them to say.

You're typically looking at about $60 for the average paid WordPress theme. Your domain and web hosting will add up to around $50/year, so you're probably looking at $110 up front for the first year, then $50/year for each year after that.
Hello Christian, I'm using Weebly for my first website, but I had a nightmare with word press but I'm willing to try with your course.
Sorry to hear that! WordPress can be intimidating and has a high learning curve. Nothing wrong with using Weebly or another website builder if it works well for your needs!
Great content man- can you recommend a good theme for news site? Thank you!!!
Hmm, you could look at Extra by Elegant Themes. Otherwise, look at top rated / best selling themes on Themeforest like Aveda / Salient / TheGem and see if any of them offer a news/magazine type demo that suits your needs.
Hey Man, maybe this is stupid question but is this theme superresponsive in every device ?
Hey Dino! Yes, all of these themes are responsive and work well on smartphones and tablets.
Do we need to pay every year for renewal? Or is it one time.
@@Craylor thank you so much
good info thanks
Hi,
How are you ...?
What is the current reaction of crona virus in your country ?
What's your recommendation regarding Astra free theme? Your opinion matters alot to people like me.🙏
I don't have personal experience with Astra, but it looks to have a decent reputation.
Love your take on how to choose themes. Please do a review of Oxygen Builder.
Thank you! I'll have to check it out.
I’m still confused, what’s a theme? What’s a backend?
I totally agree. Beautiful WP themes can sometimes screw your life at editing stage.
It's so true 😡
Please do a video about Divi. I already have it but it is overwhelming :P As I haven't used a theme like this before that has a page builder feature.
Thanks for the comment! I’d love to make a video about Divi. Do you find it easy to import the demos and modify them to fit your needs?
Yes, but the modification part is a bit strange, as there are a lot of options that I don't know what they do and where do I need to go to change a specific thing that I need to change, etc...
And when you do that Divi video, also compare Divi with these themes that you've recommended so we know where it stands in terms of the backend.
Thanx for sharing ❤️
Thanks for tuning in!
I cannot believe that your favorite builder is wpbakery! It's so outdated and buggy unlike elementor
Hmm... I find that I prefer a good old backend block builder over visual builders! If you want a front end builder, I absolutely agree that Elementor is superior. I'm working on a comparison video of WP Bakery, Elementor, and Divi :)
Divi is not a theme, it's a page builder, like WP Bakery or Elementor.
It's both. You can't use the Divi page builder without the Divi theme, and vice versa. But yes - Divi is a proprietary page builder.
Thank you for sharing this. I didn't know Salient. Can you share some thoughts on Savoy Theme vs. Avada Theme (vs. Salient) ?
Hey Gabriel! I'm not familiar with Savoy, but I have used Avada before. In my opinion, I prefer Salient over Avada because I've learned WPBakery (3rd party common website builder), and Salient uses WPBakery. Avada uses their own custom page builder which I didn't care for as much. With that being said, Avada is a popular "mega theme" that has been around for years, so the code quality and customer support is absolutely there. You can't go wrong with either one, but I definitely like Salient!
Excellent Vid - Cheers
Thank you!
Craylor Maaaaadeeee💯
Scamminess - I love it - should be entered into the dictionary.
Hahaha yes!
Great video!
Thank you!
WordPress theme white is the best for eCommerce
Coraline was siiiick
Please do a video on affiliate marketing website
That’s a good idea! I’ll add it to my list.
I don't like the themes. I have used Wix before and now I am trying to learn Bluehost. My blog had a visual simplicity.
Nice! Are you using WordPress with Bluehost? If so, what theme did you decide on?
Thanks dude
You convinced me, here goes, 62 bux with tax.
You won't be disappointed!
Yeah huge mistake for me to realize 1/2 of the plugins required a subscription. 😒😒
so small number of views for such good advices
Salient!!
Flatsome is a king
Flatsome is has quite the reputation! I've never tried it personally, but it looks like a great super theme.
Cant press the thumb up button enough times...
are you a Hipster Metalhead Geek hybrid? 🤣
Noooooooiiiiiice!!
This is exactly I was NOT looking for. He says nothing about elementor pro and astra. I wonder why.... Hmmmm .... maybe its another influencer?!?!?!
Yes - I am an influencer like every person on the platform. You came hoping to see me influence you about Astra and Elementor Pro, but I influenced you based on *my personal experience* - and that's what you want. Someone who speaks from their point of view and doesn't just say whatever the highest bidder paid them to say.
Too much scarcity tactics
These themes are affiliate promotions - can't take the advice seriosly
