Rowan was previously in Series 2, and had previously won her Heat (heat 2, for those curious), but was unable to continue to the quarterfinals due to a bout of food poisoning. I guess she either tried out again for the show, or the producers decided that since she was unable to continue due to outside circumstances, they reserved a spot for her in Series 3.
