Today I bring you another of big vocalist that come from Filipines. This beautiful filipino artist is definitely up there with Morissette Amon and Katrina Velarde. As a vocal coach that reacts to these talented ladies, this one is definitely a treat to listen to. Hope you enjoy my first time reaction to Araw-Gabi!

Look at the crowd outside the wishbus. They know the queen is in presence.
She's the Asia's Song Bird.. idolized by almost all Filipino singers, maybe about 95% of them all..
"She's very relaxed" well it is her whole life. She wasn't called "Asia's Songbird" for nothing.
She was there since then, regine is a veteran singer, every young singers like Morissette and Katrina idolize her so much. She's timeless, can still be as great as the millennial singers at her 50s
Never heard of this singer before now, but her performance and your reaction were wonderful. The performance made me think of a Disney song in a Non English language. Did not understand a word but I knew I was being told a story.

She's already mature in that video and also she now suffers from a condition that affects her voice, but based on one of her interviews, she somehow manages to overcome it by using different techniques in singing that she was never used to. If you hear her performances when she was younger during her golden years, you'll be even more surprised. She's a legend, been a singer since the 80's. She's looked up to by so many modern Filipina singers like Morisette Amon and Katrina Velarde. Regine is referred to as the "Asia's Songbird" and earned that title through decades of hardwork.

Katrina and morissette are looking up to her, she is their one of biggest influences in singing if not their ultimate idol. And usually they use her piece arrangement( like Go the distance).They are upcoming and making their own individual mark in music but no way at par with her! They can attest to that themselves. When I was young I was listening to her album before and I really like the way Ms. Regine Velasquez sings because she express and convey a heavy emotions in her song and she puts her heart in each word that gets out in her mouth.
What i like about Regine is that shes not just singing, shes also telling a story and she really sings with emotions and clarity...😉

Regine Velasques was referred to as Asia's Songbird after she won the Asia-Pacific singing contest. I think it's around the year 1980s. Many singers look up to her until now. She is really a great singer and one of my idols since then.

See the fancam of the time that Regine surprised Katrina Velarde on stage (she wasn't supposed to show up), and they sang this together . I tried to give the link, but it went to spam - so on Y.Tube just look up "Regine Velasquez & Katrina Velarde -Araw Gabi (New Frontier Theater | Feb.1, 2019). Regine has some nice things to say afterwards. Regine has been a star since the 80's, and all of the current singers look up to her.

Belting in Philippines became the standard of singing because of REGINE VELAZQUEZ. From the 80's til now, she is still the Queen of belting. Even Mariah Carey felt intimidated by her back in 2000's. 😊
@Gilana Diva well maybe you aint really a fan. 🤣🤣 if you are then maybe you will remember everything that Mariah said about Regine in an interview. I am a huge fan of Mariah since I was a kid and I have nothing negative to say about her. I love them both but there was just that one time that Mariah felt, hey this woman can sing! And might be famous around the world. Sadly, Mariah wasnt able to maintain her voice and it's heartbreaking but Regine did, she was able to cope up.

regine has reigned the music scene here on the Philippines for several decades now.... and we have a lot, and i mean a lot, of excellent vocalists.... and the way she has also evolved as a vocalist is just phenomenal

Regine Velasquez is Asia Songbird since 80s shes already veteran in the likes of Houston, Carey, and Dion. But far uncomparable unto them , if you compare her to new artist in 90s,2000 up to 2020 shes is the best belter up to now watch her piece of sky performance nobody can beat that even barbara streisand.
