I’ve watched your previous Google Maps videos about Turkey and here is a gold tip for you: “Belediye” means “Municipality” in Turkish. “ XXX Belediyesi” means “The Municipality of XXX”. If you see any sign like “XXX Belediyesi”, you can be sure that you are in the XXX city. BTW, sometimes you can see “XXX Büyükşehir Belediyesi” as well. That means “The Metropolitan Municipality of XXX”. Generally this term is used for big cities such as İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir and for some others 😊
Oh God that was so difficult! I only got Mut right because there was a Turkish Erasmus student at my school, we talked about Turkey and I told her I tried learning Turkish for a while and when I asked where she was from, she said 'Mutluyum'. She was saying 'I'm from Mut.' but I thought she was saying 'I'm happy', cos you know 'Mutlu' = Happy. It was a funny moment when she explained it's a place in Mersin, and I was like Riiiight! Mut has a population of 62,803 people. I'm 21 years old and I've never met anyone from mut before. Turks learn that there is a place called Mut because of the word "mutlu". It's weird that you met someone from Mut before I even met 😂
