I live my m50x. Have had them for 7 years I believe and still like new. I try to take very good care of them. Great for music and podcast. Don’t play games anymore, but I’d imagine they would be good.
i would say all of the headphones above are great ! its just upon you how u mix with it and how well you know your headphones ! sure some have pros and cons but it all depends upon your indpeth knowledge of your gear !
Great review.I have the Audio Technica M40X . Berdynamic DT990 and The VModa CrossFadeLP2 . When I get paid I be buying the Beyerdynamic DT770 I heard good reviews on this closed back headphones closed back
Just a heads up, the Audio Technica ATH-M30X is a nice starter headphones, but damn are they uncomfortable. My ears get hot using these after maybe 30 mins. They are tight, but then again, I got a big head lol
I watch a lot of videos, and i'm a little confused... i really want to buy the m50x, but i saw so many comments saying that the m40x was better than getting lost. do you really think it's worth buying the m50x for mixing and mastering? I usually produce and mix songs like EDM, Trap and pop. thank you! your videos are great 🙏🏻
If you are looking to get a pair of M50X… rather get a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 Pros. You will never have to upgrade again, and they are the best for music production, mixing and mastering 💪🏻
FWIW, I have an older (I think discontinued ) ATH M40fs, which I think are much more comfortable than the M50x, though if you want closed back for mixing, yeah the BD DT770 Pro would be the better choice out of these, IMHO.
What would you recommend for someone who already has a DT 770. I noticed you said that the DT 770 spreads out the sound quite a bit. And I agree. So could you recommend one which is great, yet goes a little in the opposite direction. Something that probably sounds like what I want the finished product to sound. If that makes sense :) Thanks!
I thought the hd280 pros were the flattest since other videos said so, I bought them because of that, can someone clear any doubts? Are they or are they not the flattest? Thanks!
As long as a headphone is neutral (relatively flat) you don't need to worry having the flattest frequency response. What you need to do, regardless of which headphone or monitor system you use is to learn how they sound. Besides, there is much more to a good pair of studio headphones than flat frequency response. :)
While the headphones featured here are all fine products, no legitimate 'Best Headphones For Mixing' list (regardless of price) would completely leave out open- or semi-open back headphones.
Hey thanks for the headphones brakedown! Great video man! Can you please help me; What do you think I should choose between Meze 99's, beyerdynamic 770's, sennheiser 280 pros, akg 361 or Sivga 006 ? Feel free to recommend any other pair.. I need closed back headphones mainly for playing with a digital piano (Korg sv2 to be precise). I'm wondering if the Sennheisers and beyerdynamic might be "too flat" for my liking and meybe the Meze are more enjoyable than the akg 361 and about the sivga 006, I've heard great things about. What I think I need is good imaging and sound stage. I don't want any smudging of the sounds so high detail.. tho I want the headphones to have a pleasant sound so I can play for long.. is that contradicting? Idk. Please help.

Hey man, would 7506 suit my needs for Psytrance production? Would lack of bass be huge problem for production?
The 7506's are a very flat set of headphones... so for the most accurate sound, you can't for much better!

Am a music producer i need that Audio Technica ATH -M50X or any one that have bass
Very helpful vid! Is the samson sr950 good for monitoring and mixing?
I’m not the biggest fan of Samson headphones, but to be honest I’m not sure about those.
@@EdwardSmithMusic the samson sr950 is the cheapest reference headphones that I can afford and I recently ordered it and I hope it will do its job 😂
Hi, what do you think of the Austrian Audio Hi-X55?
Hi! I have a focusrite and a Rode Nt1 setup for vocals and podcasting. Will the ATH-M50-X Audio-technica be a good pick for me?
They would be perfect 🙌🏼
@@EdwardSmithMusic Wow! Thanks for the crazy quick reply!
You should try Superlux HD668B
Great vid I personally think that if i could i'd buy de audiotechnica m50
I agree, the M50X’s are great!! 🙏🏼
Could you recommend which one between m40x and 7506
That’s a tough one... I would go for the Audio Technica m40x 💪🏼 Both are good though 👌🏼
how is the soundstage and imaging of them which most of the gamers look for
Does the M50Xbt sound the same as the non Bluetooth?

How much ohms should I choose if I have a bad PC?
between 30 and 40 ohm
Is it better to mix in headphones or on monitors my monitors run to a amp is it still ok for mixing ?
It's good to use both options for mixing,
@@EdwardSmithMusic THANKS
V-Moda headphones = Martin Garrix OwO
