Don't forget your ol' stalker pal Phil Hill from L.I.S.T. who can be found at any bar that you go to like ever.. at any time lol He only buys surveys of habitable planets but pays the same as Vlad and I could be wrong, but I think he has more vendor creds as well which, obviously, means more money to get for surveys and no waiting 1000 hours for Vlad to respawn his measly 20k over and over, so long as you save your habitable surveys for him and sell Vlad the others. Also, diagetic interface display is one of the absolute, coolest little touches you can put in a game. Your not just being a nerd lol it's dope af and , to me, shows that the devs genuinely appreciate and care about attention to detail and therefore, more than likely, every other aspect of the game since it's such a minimal feature that they didn't have to do but did anyway.
One credit opportunity early on that many ignore and I have not seen anyone mention in a video yet is selling raw organic materials (those gained directly from plants and animals) to Noel at the Constellation Lodge. She mentions that she buys these things in your conversation with her but what most don't realize is that she pays a premium for them (30+ times the amount a retail outlet will pay you and even 3-4 times what it costs to buy it, making buying and reselling these when you find them at a seller worthwhile. For example the best money mark-up is the Quark Degenerative Tissue that she will pay 960 credits for but can be bought from retailers for a fraction of that price (about 150 credits I think). While not common, you can find this in the inventory of some retailers and it turns up randomly in the remains of animals and plants. Always buy it or pick it up and then sell it to her. One of the best returns on investment in the game. Many other items that you would only get 1 or 2 credits for from a retailer she will pay 20 to 40 for but as much as 80 and 240 for some of them, not to mention the 960 for the QDT, making it an easy choice to sell that stock to her. Noel only has 5k credits so you can quickly bleed her dry and have to do the "sit-and-wait" game to unload a large cache of material (at least on Jemison this is only one day to get 48 hours UT) but early in game this is a great source of income (without using one of the credit glitches anyway...I feel dirty just hitting quick-save before entering a dangerous location (_8(|) D`oh!) as you can just run out in the wilderness right there by Jemison (easiest place to get out is to go out behind the space port) and kill... err harvest and pick everything you can find. Mark a location out there as there are a lot of structures around and you can fast travel back to the lodge and then out to harvest again (if you don't overencumber yourself), earning early Xp and credits that will actually level you up quickly. Noel will pay you more than the going rate for all of the organics. I actually still separate all of my organic materials and take it to her to sell to her when I am back at the lodge and I don't need the money at all with more than 1.7 mil in my horde at the moment, it was just such an ingrained habit early on I can't quit.
Another tip to stealth users. Suppressors help, but the weapon you use also effects things. Even though you have a suppressor on a rifle, a pistol is going to be much quieter.
I haven’t seen anyone posted this before but it took me a really long time to find out so JIC…whenever I take over ships in space I simply sit down in the pilot chair, go to the menu, and set whatever ship it is as my new home ship, then it will give you a message that your original ship is going home or whatever… chase your original ship and scan and dock it and then sit in the pilot chair and set it back as your home ship The ship that you stole will now be one of your ship slots but you can continue on with your own ship, I feel like I did this on the ground once and then just ran back to where my original ship was landed and boarded it and set it as home…it’s also cheaper to register it from the menu than the ship vendors I believe
About the last thing, if you play the full story again in a NG+, you can save all of them if you chose the right Starborn dialoge option, but it only work in a NG+
Starfield won't explain; Why there's a "Pet Rock" asteroid that follows my ships around at all times. Fighting, it's there. Warping, yep. Photos, Cut Scenes, Murdering its Big Brothers... It won't go away. Oh, did I mention it's indestructible! It's the "Greatest Fan" of Asteroids
You can actually sell contraband on any planet with a bit of preparation. When scanning you for contraband the authorities prohibit you from landing at the main landing pad of wherever you are, but ONLY that pad, you can still land at any other outposts, mining bases, ETC just fine, so if you exit the place you want to land at on foot (you can get over the wall in New Atlantis spaceport) and start an outpost outside the city (doesn't even need a landing pad, but I prefer to build one) you can land there before they finish scanning you and discover anything you're carrying, walk into the city on foot and sell your stuff at the trade authority.
Another BIG help for sneaking is to hit caps lock to turn off running. Walking stealth is awesome, it's slower, but you're substantially more stealthy.
the mining laser has 2 setting a turbo and normal, you can craft certin contraband depending on if u did certin quest (i dont say quest but one is on neon)
My best tip, for sure, is: Get the UI mod for storage. It's not a cheat, it lists everything in detail with icons; shows how many of that item you already have (like ammo at a store for example), and shows the DPS of weapons. I could never play without it now.

The word "diegesis" comes from the Greek and literally means narration. Within the oral storytelling tradition, the narrator creates "the world of the story." In filmmaking, we call the world of a film the diegesis - everything that exists within that world is diegetic, everything else is non-diegetic.
if you're playing the story mission again as a starborn, there's a way to completely avoid that spoiler situation. It comes at the cost of losing a different mission, but I never liked that guy anyway. It is slightly glitchy though, because all the constellation members will talk to you afterwards, as if the spoiler occurred, but with nonsense. I can't be more specific without giving it away
Just like Vladmir buys Survey data for more, Noel will buy Organic matter for more than vendors. So if you find yourself with tons of plant/animal parts you can sell to her. Also, If you're in your ship in space you can hold Space + WSAD to activate thrust in the corresponding direction. It's somewhat useless as I haven't encountered anywhere that needs finer controls, but it's available.
I used it on my first playthrough for the final Crimson Fleet battle. My ship was super sub-par and it helped alot in maneuvering around the station to use as a shield
Using thrusters and rotating I believe allows you to “J-Turn” and get guns on a target behind you while maintaining forward speed. So far, few enemies survive that long, so haven’t tried it myself, but I’ve seen another guide that looked effective.
The final spoilery tip was a jarring experience for me. This is one of the few games I have played that had an emotional gut punch on me. That thing happened to the NPC my character married, and after reloading a savegame to see who I could give a chance to, I decided to give it to the other so a kid won't be left all alone (trying to make sense here without spoiling anything.) I love this game!
In ng plus after you become starborn you choose to reply story you can skip the part that your favorite companion dies by your starborn knowledge and you can keep all of them alive
The watch Barret gives you should be the way you check your health in game. A mod where you quickly inspect your watch for health and status ailments should be made.

Selling contraband, I don't even bother picking it up, iy doesn't sell for enough. Also if vendor doesn't have enough money, I'll just buy stuff and get my money back when I sell.
SPOILERS I married Sam early in the game. I don’t know why but Barrett was apparently a character that I had high affinity with, even though I only interacted with him during the main quest where he’s a required follower. I’m so glad it was Barrett that died, though, because he was bar none my least favorite follower 😂
Define Diegetic because when I google it, (of sound in a movie, television program, etc.) occurring within the context of the story and able to be heard by the characters. coming from French meaning in the writers own voice
When you sell contraband you can also look in the misc section which will probably be a much smaller list than the all section of your inventory. If you just need a few of a resource for crafting, caves often have resources that don't show on the planetary scan and that can't be found on the surface. Looking at your character moving around in your ship, are you aware that you can hide your helmet when not needed from the helmet section of the inventory? (won't show inside the ship or on planets with breathable atmosphere but is still protecting you) Same goes for spacesuits, but those are only hidden in settlements.
I hate the ladders i have both the frontier slightly modified (im trying to avoid ship building until ive got the last couple of ship design and special projects skills to get to far into that as ill have more then enough money by then) The razorleaf cargo additons only and a wanderwell basic ....i also have Heller, Lin, Barrett, Sam, his daughter, Sarah, vasco Adoring fan and Sona traveling with me at the moment and i swear to god i can never get up to the workstation or armory in my ships becuse someone is always stuck in a loop of climbing up and down the ladder, i kneecapped Barrett to get hin to stop long enough to get up to put away some unique gear i found
Contraband is easy. Just land near the city before they finish the scan. You can't land at cities or poi, but you can anywhere else which is ridiculous.
Did you know that asteroids are destructible, and that you can use or sell the mineral deposits? Use your missile launcher for the best effect! I’m amazed no one mentions this! Jump into a system, and if there are rocks floating around, have at ‘em! Easy money..
LOL me first playthrough... takes pic of random naked guard walking around city just so I could show friends later and ask wtf? same pic keeps showing up in my load screens.... didn't find out how to access and remove the pic for a day or two
you've got access to the suit/ship that you get upon completing the game, but otherwise its mostly the same game. research, level, and perks carry over to NG+ but thats about it (no cash, no ships, no outposts, no quests etc)
I think you just like saying the word "diegetic", lol. j/k! The tip about removing space suits, helmets, and boost packs to improve sneaking was helpful!
They should have put the adoring fan and your parents on the chopping block if you took the appropriate feats. And gated the parents' gift ship behind chosing to save them with a note from the lawyer saying the had a ship but it was sold to cover debts of the estate if you let them die.
Contraband is seriously under priced for the risk, I've 'acquired' a couple ships and forgot to check or even looted some contraband then forgot and get busted with it.. for a value of about 12,000?? I have guns I can.mod up to values over 40,000 and no hassle!
Digetic counters are on practically everything, in one way or another, in this game. The dots on chest fill out according to how full they are; quarter, half and full capacity. Definitely useful. I get right into outposts and commerce, and have a lot of industrial chest, which have a bar meter on them. The heavy fighter I built (more like super fortress 😃) - has 7x chest ftom modules. Which is 1100 extra storage, not counted as cargo. One is right by the hatch in the cargo bay. - The modules are: Most 3x2 Cargo bays (not Stroud / Taiyo), Most 3x1 Engineering modules (Not Stroud / Taiyo), most 2x2 Computer core (Not Taiyo), Nova 2x1 Computer core & Control room, ONLY Nova Capt. quarters has a chest, Only Deimos armory has a chest - these are the 150x chests, some also have a 10x chest like the Nova 2x1 Computer core, which has a 150x chest. In my case, I have a Cargo hold, 2x Engineering decks (both sides of the ship tp each engine cluster), a Computer core, Deimos armory (connected to Cargo), Nova armory connected to EVA dock, Nova capt. berth, Nova control room, for 7x chests. With the Reactor between the Engineering decks, toward the middle of the ship, so the hull actually protects it. Fuel cells connected to it, and the Grav drive connecting engine clusters. - build your powerplant first, as a single circuit, then start slapping on features; and you will survive a lot better in very hard. Shields suck a lot of power, so choose a generator with over 100 points per power pip (pref. 125+), and as high a regen rate as you can get; that way, if you spend 7 points and still get 900 Shield strength, you're doing well. Do not neglect Thrusters! Power sliding will let you use your mass to your advantage in a vacuum (unlike heavier atmospheric conditions). - and let you take advantage of natural cover (like asteroids), or other enemy ships. If it feels like they are right up your butt, its because they are! These are also things the game doesn't tell you. Hope its useful info. 👍
13:50 another way to improve stealth is to play with a controller. the speed you are moving effects detection, so having you movement controlled by on/off rather than a thumb stick and trying to be stealthy is just you crippling yourself because you bought into the fallacy that keyboard and mouse is better.
ok the last spoiler part( DONT RED IF YOU DONT LIKE TO SPOILER - - - - - What if I just use the bot until that point of the game does that mean it will be destroyed ?
You can also sell your survey data to that LIST guy on Mars. Unfortunately, his broke ass doesn't have enough money to buy some of the data you'll have.

I think you just like saying the word "diegetic", lol. j/k! The tip about removing space suits, helmets, and boost packs to improve sneaking was helpful!
There’s 4 diamonds as well
Does the "Adoring Fan" count as a cast memeber for the last spoiler bit you mentioned?
Ha I don't think so, I think he'd have to be a member of constellation but I haven't tested it!
They should have put the adoring fan and your parents on the chopping block if you took the appropriate feats.
And gated the parents' gift ship behind chosing to save them with a note from the lawyer saying the had a ship but it was sold to cover debts of the estate if you let them die.
I've had photos i took be my lock screen for my pc with out setting it that way
Wow, I'm so glad I watched this video. I would have never known ladders where optional 😂
Vladamir has always been in The Lodge since going to the Eye in one of the first missions. Isn't he supposed to be there?
During a certain point in the campaign he will inevitably go back to the eye, mate.
if u want time to move very fast, go sleep 24h on venus.
i’ve seen four diamonds before tho
Remember kids,
That the changing of loading screen pictures is only on pc. We can't do that on Xbox. FYI
The creator should have mentioned it. (😂😂😂)
Contraband is seriously under priced for the risk, I've 'acquired' a couple ships and forgot to check or even looted some contraband then forgot and get busted with it.. for a value of about 12,000?? I have guns I can.mod up to values over 40,000 and no hassle!
Get close to Back door Barret so he gets axed so you can get that artifact 😂🤣
What happens to Cora if Sam dies?
She go lives with her mother...
Man if this was multilayer
For neither companion to die, high persuasion, talk Hunter out of attacking. Later dialogue still behaves like someone has died. Weird!
Ohhh this is interesting I didn't know you could talk your way out if anyone dying!
Stealthy is a word.
Is Sarah Morgan the new Darien?!
haha! I do miss Darien tho :,)
Who dies depends on your choice and my run through
Digetic counters are on practically everything, in one way or another, in this game.
Amazing comment! Thanks for sharing!
@@LuckyGhost Cool bannana's 👍
How do you double click on console?
anyone know why Lucky isn't streaming on Twitch anymore or lately?
I'll be back! just been insanely busy with YT and non-twitch stuff!
16:56 that's not a shotgun.
13:50 another way to improve stealth is to play with a controller. the speed you are moving effects detection, so having you movement controlled by on/off rather than a thumb stick and trying to be stealthy is just you crippling yourself because you bought into the fallacy that keyboard and mouse is better.
its not a competition my brother, we are all just gamers who love playing games
What if I spend much of my time with Vasco? Does he die?
"Diegetic" doesn't mean what you think it means. I think you mean digital.
nope, diagetic does mean that in video games. check it out!
Not all weapons have the counter the old earth weapons doesn't
good point!
If I hear the word diegetic one more time I swear..
:-X
Diagetic :D
I'm offended you didn't use my Lucky Potato loading screen for this. Unsubbed.

What if I just use the bot until that point of the game does that mean it will be destroyed ?
If you try it let me know lol+
You can also sell your survey data to that LIST guy on Mars. Unfortunately, his broke ass doesn't have enough money to buy some of the data you'll have.
I love soggy pancakes
Advert way too long! Seriously no need
Features starfield never tells you? A display on the guns conveniantly placed to be easy to see... kinda tells you.
You're not wrong at all, but I thought it was cool and easy to miss! Cheers
@@LuckyGhost Sure, I don't really drink tho...
I like this TH-camr and would subscribe if it weren’t for the painful pandering advertisiements. I hate that!
that's fair, but I have a mortgage to pay too :D Thank you for enjoying the content all the same! (minus the ad)
What is the deal with every ethnic npc's eyes in this game lol. I guess its every npc that has darkish skin it makes the white of the eyes show more or something. its freaky lol
WTF 30 seconds of ads in video???? that is on top TH-cam before videos ads.
Agreed. Egregious. And then the like and subscribe? Nope, I'm now unsubscribed.
Soon as I see an advert during the content I’m out of here! Don’t actually even get to the content if the starting advert is 20seconds and I can’t skip. Adverts make me hate the product they are trying to sell simple!
I think you just like saying diagetic.
