Almost the exact same set up as mine. However, if you put the dyneema on the daggerboard over the top of it, rather than the front, it keeps the daggerboard fully down, preventing it from floating up. Happy sailing.
Sorry for the audio quality from 2:48 to 3:03. What I was explaining was how the fair lead on the harken system creates an extra point of friction whereas the ronstan takes that point of friction out of the system.
Thanks for watching, basically, you set your first marking to your max ease setting and then work in from there however you'd like. There's no one way to do it…all comes down to personal preference.

Very interesting, where does the dyneema attach to on to top the daggerboard?
Nice solution for keeping the end of the vang handy on the daggerboard.
thank you! tying a bowline is also effective but it i think the barrel knot is cooler haha

Ever had your Cunningham Eye line get caught around the Ronstan vang cleat swivel?
Love that outhaul action!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video and I look forward to the next!
Hello how much weight did you have to put on to move on to full rig. Also very cool rigging setup!
Looks like the Ronstan vang system sits higher than the Harken, giving the compass more clearance and allowing it to attach a bit further forward.
Correct
Welcome to the big rig!
Thank you!
Thanks for these rigging videos. What do you think of the new Ronstan upper vang block?
Love it, I think it is a solid alternative to the harken
Could you expose where you make your marks on your boom for the outhoul like in inches , by the way nice video .
You've got an amazing setup dude. Just wondering how you've spliced the dogbone into the primary line for the outhaul? Cheers bro
Thanks for the great video. What snap hook do you use for your cunningham line?
Smooth solutions, great update
thank you!
So you attach the vang line to the centreboard? Is that just for grabbing it on the upwind?
Yeah, so if it flops off the side, you only have to reach to the centreboard, not right forward to the vang block.
Yes, it makes it so you only ever have to reach to the center of the boat to grab it
Where else are you using the TD78 line other than the Vang, Downhaul? Outhaul? Still like it?
Hey bro, really nice video!! I would like to ask you how you set the marks for the Outhaul?

Does the Ronstan vang unit provide more space for the compass compared to Harken?
It does
I built a wooden Laser
Very light and wins almost all races.
