Shimo is female, by the way. She was confirmed as being female.
She's also said to be the first ever Kaiju.
She is not the biggest Kaiju in the Monsterverse, that title I believe goes to Tiamat, but Shimo is the biggest Monsterverse Kaiju that has appeared on screen. She's bigger than Ghidorah, and can stand on her hind legs.
