- Hi! I'm Simon, from England. The first time I came to China was in 1998. This time, I came with my son, Ethan, who has never been here before. After so many years, things have changed. We saw the pandas at the Shanghai Zoo, enjoyed traditional Chinese food at Yuyuan Garden, and admired the beautiful skyline at the Bund. Three funny scenes: 1.didn't insert the ticket while getting out the metro station;2.Ethan got no idea how to use chopsticks while eating noodles; 3. insert the straw upside down while drinking lemonade.
When he drank the drink, he inserted it into the wrong mouth. The small red clockwork-like stopper was the direct drinking mouth, and the mouth for inserting the straw was beside it.

13:22 You were suppose to just go straight through the gate as the green light indicator lit up on the scanner, but because you kept trying to scan the card multiple times it then gave you the red light and with a red cross indicated on the screen telling you to go see service. That's why it didn't work for you on the metro lol. And 21:32 I swear you got the straw upside down lol.

It tells you on the glass panel of the platform which carriages are the cooler ones.

When you use a straw to drink, your straw is inserted backwards
Sharp end is meant to be used to help you pierce the plastic film in some drinks. Also helps with sucking up bubble tea pearls.

Wow, Shanghai is one of the biggest city in China whereby many gorgeous places for sightseeing and variety of food , snacks and hot or cold different drinks could be found. Wu Zheng! Water town you must visit., and no trip is complete without disney (maybe not.) Also the museum and science mueums are worth a visit to see stuff from 5000+ yrs ago is sureal.

Everything is sooo much cheaper in China. Shanghai is already one of the most expensive cities there. Go to any Tier 2 or 3 city there, and you can enjoy amazing seafood dishes for just a few pounds.

The prices in Shanghai are too expensive. I recommend that you two travel to other cities in mainland China. The food and accommodation in other cities may only be 1/2 or 1/3 of that in Shanghai

The end of bridge is real Yuyuan Garden, you will need to buy tickets to go in. Built in Ming dynasty amazing classic south riverland style 30 acres garden with 450 yrs history. Pitty you guys missed it.
