I love your videos for many reasons. I love how you add life to the scenes described with amazing commentary and sound. Lines like “Under the eerie calmness of the lunar expanse below them” (34:25) really makes these scenes seem magical and poetic. Love your work Calvin, shame I was busy during the premiere.
Absolutely! Been on a bit of a hiatus (brake to clear my head from the game, updating to 1.10 and fixing save issues, family vacation time), but I'm happy to say I'm back and will resume work this week! :D
I happened upon this episode via a link in Carnasa's discord. Sir, may I say that you should be very proud of your production. Very, very well done. The only change I might recommend is that you turn down the music volume just a little bit in future episodes, and your narration volume up. Aside from that, this is, in my opinion, a perfect video! It earned an automatic subscribe and thumbs up from me. I look forward to all your content.
Early Centaurs had only 6 hours of endurance in orbit due to quick propellant boiloff. Of course you could cheese this in KSP with a crapton of MLI layers, but where's the fun in that?
i made the atlas aurora in stock using the making history tanks and surprisingly it works realy well it was able to get 6 tons inro orbit and to many other bodies
From the earth to the moon in a Gemini, and how we got there.
How? A two ship glory story is how!
@@asdfasdf825 🤣 Gee, thanks!
Excellent work! Algol boosted Saturn is not expected. But it works.
It did. Just....
Amazing, loved the episode can't wait for the next

There are so many beautiful moments like these in your videos, I could write a full essay on these videos. You truly are talented, Calvin.

and i havnt played ksp in a while, oof
feels like this is dragging me back into it
Haha! Do it! 😁
Why use the transtage instead of the centaur for the lunar gemini craft? given that the track record for transtage is a bit…. iffy at best
Compactness, limitless restartability, and storable propellants

@@Lewy94999 Precisely. Plus, you know me. Realism!
Why no centaur for tli?
Depleted. Even needed a bit of DV from the Transtage on the Gemini for the final push to orbit
@@CalvinMaclure interesting, I wonder what the mass difference is between the transtage stack and hydrolox stage

Nice!
Does the triple core titan have better performance than the ua1205s?
Not sure, actually, since I haven't yet unlocked the UA120s.
This is rocket porn and I'm here for it
🤣 Glad to be of service (
Unfortunately I'm now all caught up.
I'm... so sorry...
Well I hope it was worth it at least! 😅
