    Great job! I wish I could have your shoulder mobility to grip the bar like you do on squats. Is this a natural gift or do spend a lot of time on shoulder mobility. If it is mobility work please do a vid on it. cheers

    Hi mate, just working on improving my squat and bench - I think with my levers I have more potential to increase these massively and then just going to play catch up with the rest of the field in Deadlift. There are some absolute beasty pullers in the 93s but I have the potential to be a big squatter and bencher. Just recently benched 200kg so will be looking to keep gains going in that!

    Superb really good to look back on and see what you are capable of.
    Could you answer a question for me please Ste?
    What method did you use to lose the weight and how did you make sure your strength was maintained?

    It's the IPF. If you're the world champion, you're THE world champion.
    Also, I wouldn't worry so much about what other people are doing.

    Hi manuel !
    You practice the deadlift when you make smolov base mesocycle ?
    You is a fucking beast, i like it !

    • @screamermanuel
      @screamermanuel  10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey buddy, thanks for the kind words.
      I did still deadlift but deficits with no more than 60% load purely for floor speed. All the deadlift muscles got stronger from all the squatting - the deficits helped with floor speed and familiarity of the movement pattern.
      Hope that answers your question. Please subscribe if you haven't already and help spread my videos out - when I hit 1000 subscribers I will be putting free workouts on my channel for as long as there is demand so please help a brother out
      Stay strong!

    Come on brad, that was my very first competition total!!! Just cause you haven't made gains in 3 years doesn't mean no one else have... Maybe you spent too many hours on youtube and not enough time in the gym "bro".

  • @athletesnightmare
    @athletesnightmare 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Freddy B you used to put up a ton of hype video's back in the day....video yourself touching a rim every 5 minutes.

  • @freddyb5903
    @freddyb5903 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    All this hype for this total? Chill man, it's ok, but not all that.

  • @freddyb5903
    @freddyb5903 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Congrats... There are so many federations in powerlifting, everybody is a world champion. I know 3 of them in my home town and they can't even total 700 to save their life so... Numbers don't lie though. I put up better ones then yours without the hype, and there are a lot of people just as strong or stronger, a lot! Look at pete rubish, david troutt, jay nera etc... Just saying, no need to tape yourself everyday, jump and down, acting all crazy. But whatever, to each their own.
