I remember in 1963 recollecting the Padang Atmosphere I was in the then Air Training Corps the equivalent of Air Cadet Corps (NCC - Air). We marched as a group with precision after months of practice. Many Hon Ministers at that time led by our Hon Prime Minister the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the late Defense Minister the late Dr Goh Keng Swee, the late Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon Mr S Rajaretnam and others cheered us on with handclaps and appreciation. Many in my group all in their 70s now and many who have left us had a steely resolve in those early days to strive and in many small ways contribute to Nation Building. Today when we reflect the Padang Atmosphere for the NDP 2024 and standing to attention when our National Anthem was played proudly placing our right hand on our left on our hearts the joys and emotions are a testimony to our the progress made with a leadership that is laudable and making Singapore what it is now - a joy forever. It is now for the younger generation to do the same with a resolve that is unflinching with even greater progress as we move ahead as a Nation that is the pride of every Singaporeans like me and many more to make this a beacon for the world. Majulah Singapura.
The NDP 2024 this year has been truly heartwarming and wholesome!!! I love the flow, storytelling and the music's used on this years National Day!!! Some parts got me having Goosebumps!!! Kudos to the Creative Director for this Years Show!!!!
Proud to be Singaporean born and raised here, my home country, Singapore. Forever will keep the world's strongest passport. My favourites at all NDPs has always been the singing of the Singapore National Anthem with the Singapore flag flypass which i watch with pride and honour. The reciting of the National Pledge and of cos the old NDPs songs like "Home", "Count on me Singapore", "Stand up for Singapore", just to name a few. This year NDP show favourites belong to the choir sung by the children of special needs they sung beautifully like angels. I had goosebumps 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Majula Singapura - Onward Singapore to many more years to come 🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬❤️❤️❤️❤🤍🤍🤍🤍

Tis year shows 6 different categories n 40 yrs Total defence into display. With beautiful heartfelt songs n dances n beautiful fireworks n lightings tat made tis year parade truly worth watching n unforgettable. Thanks all participants n stage settings n media to make this remarkable 59th birthday of spore for everyone to enjoy not only here but overseas sporeans too....Love Spore n Proud to be sporean n called it home spore...❤

Nice, never forget or take for granted what legacies of those who came before helped raise the nation for each new generation. Singapore was not built in a day. Those who built it, did not all have such opportunities as those who continue to build it today, but they had the heart to make things better for generations to come. If you spend some time in any overseas country, you may get an even better perspective on how well Singapore has become. Note that even the aspect of opportunities for many Singaporeans abroad, is in fact a testimony to the almost 60 year legacy of the honest and hardworking people who made Singapore into a nation, which is now in many ways a more healthy nation than most and with a more solid future than most. Take nothing for granted, act more humble than entitled.

As soon as Singapore separated from Malaysia, the Malaysia-based party, Peoples Action Party (PAP) was deregistered. PAP Malaysia is now known as DAP (Democratic Action Party).
I can tell the director for NDP probably got changed, because this year very different and more meaningful and mindblowing than the previous year This year got Dynamic Defence Display, this year they brought back the arm band that reacts around the show venue, this year the show segment has more meaning , identity and culture involved

I have watched every NDP since the 1st NDP in which I participated as a member of the Boy's Brigade Band. In later years I participated in other uniform group. I still remmembered that year when I was standing in pouring rain in the padang together with my fellow bandsman from the Police volunteer Band and thousands of other NDP participants. Every year brings excitment and fulfillment that we have come this far. Happy National Day.

My family is not well off. We owed bills, late on payments for housing loans and brushes with the law that saw a couple of our house members put behind bars. Life has been hard for us. Couldn’t even afford to buy HDB. But, at the end of the day i can only blame ourself for not studying hard and working hard enough. Will never blame the government nor society. Singapore will always be our home and theres no where we would rather be than the safest place on earth= Singapore (always full of opportunity and hope as long as we work hard) Happy Birthday Singapore❤

As soon as Singapore separated from Malaysia, the Malaysia-based party, Peoples Action Party (PAP) was deregistered. PAP Malaysia is now known as DAP (Democratic Action Party).

I can tell the director for NDP probably got changed, because this year very different and more meaningful and mindblowing than the previous year
This year got Dynamic Defence Display, this year they brought back the arm band that reacts around the show venue, this year the show segment has more meaning , identity and culture involved

I have watched every NDP since the 1st NDP in which I participated as a member of the Boy's Brigade Band. In later years I participated in other uniform group. I still remmembered that year when I was standing in pouring rain in the padang together with my fellow bandsman from the Police volunteer Band and thousands of other NDP participants. Every year brings excitment and fulfillment that we have come this far. Happy National Day.
Tracy Huang should be back here singing in every Ndp. She is one of us and should not be forgotten.

My family is not well off. We owed bills, late on payments for housing loans and brushes with the law that saw a couple of our house members put behind bars. Life has been hard for us. Couldn’t even afford to buy HDB.
But, at the end of the day i can only blame ourself for not studying hard and working hard enough. Will never blame the government nor society. Singapore will always be our home and theres no where we would rather be than the safest place on earth= Singapore (always full of opportunity and hope as long as we work hard)
