I HOPE THIS WILL HELP A LOT OF PEOPLE. My Samsung 55" TV started acting up last week. It will turn on for 2-3 seconds and then turn off automatically. I watched all the videos on YT and almost disposed of my TV and planned to buy a new one, but I gave it a couple more days to see if I could fix it myself. What I did is I unplugged it for a good 5-10 minutes then pressed the button under for 30 seconds. It worked a couple of times but returned to the same issue. After 3 days of having the same issue, I finally bought a new extension wire just for the TV. I don't plug anything there, only the TV. I pressed the button under again and put my TV on rest for a couple of hours. After I made sure that my TV had drained all the power, I turned it back on and I was surprised that it's back to normal. It's already 10 days and I didn't have any issues on my TV anymore. The technician told me on the phone that it's a common issue when we don't unplug our TVs after use. So from now on, I always make sure I unplug my TV when not in use. I hope this helps. DO NOT DISPOSE YOUR TV, try basic troubleshooting first!

Same thing just happened to us, any fix?
Same for me. I did what he said in the video... it worked after unplugging the tv, flipping the circuit breaker, then pushing the reset button for one minute (while everything was off). Plugged the TV back in, and it totally worked!!!
Amazing this holding button for a minute worked a treat . Thank you so much sir . Love from England 👍
Stupid Samsung TV
Thanks man for saving me from heart attack lol
It worked bro thanks you're life saver 😸❤
Yeah tried the whole on/off thing and all the rest of the suggestions.
I can hear the TV stations but no visual.
did you ever find a solution?
@@FrankBell unfortunately no… it hangs on the wall like a very expensive black rectangle. Any suggestions?

Its working 😅😅 thanks buddy
did not work for me and my TV is only 4 months old =( what a piece of junk.
It work for me, but now again same black screen problem occurs
same thing
Could be the motherboard. Just ordered one on ebay to replace mine. Really disappointed with Samsung.
@@krstikiv yeah it’s prolly the motherboard. We changed it and it worked. But now ( after a year of changing the motherboard) it’s not working again.
@@t101al i would expect unless they found the root cause of the problem all motherboards will continue to demonstrate the failure
Tv just started flickering on and off I’m never buying a Samsung again. Just a few months out of warranty yoo
Having the same problem how did you resolve it
@@kudziemartins9564 I didn’t unfortunately. Tried to keep resetting my tv and letting it sent unplugged for a day but it never fully came back on. Bought a new one a few days later
That’s exactly what happened to me too. It was a month out of warranty and it started flickering on and off by itself and the whole screen went black, but you could still hear sound.
@@culture.creative yeah I ended up having to just throw it out couldn’t fix it and they wanted to charge me like $300 for having them come fix it when a new tv is $500 lol
Works for Roku T.V. also. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the info!
Thank you so much, it saves us from buying new one ❤
Can someone help me? My tv turns on when i plug it even though i did not turn it on and that it turns on and off but no picture is shown. The audio works fine but as I said, it turns on and off. Does anyone know what to do with my tv?
I’m having the same issue not sure what to do still
any luck?
@@Shadowz998 any luck?
This just happened to me today - there seems to be a defect with these Samsungs screens with a loose connection somewhere inside the case. Try grabbing the TV on each upper corner and give it a little shake, almost like your tugging and pushing one hand vs the other - you may have to jiggle it a little harder than you would expect, but if you do it hard enough you’ll see some flickering of the screen and if you get it just right the screen will stay on. Totally whack - this is definitely a defect and the techs providing phone support don’t know about it (or aren’t saying). Either way, try it and report back if it works for you - spread the word. Good luck!
Did not work @berttymartinez8081
Thank you!!! After much frustration with the online user manual and "official" troubleshooting guide, this fixed it.
