I don’t think it is redundant having Alexandria II & Alexandria Orientale. I just sprayed both right now side to side and they are completely different, at least on my skin. Alexandria II is more aromatic while Alexandria Orientale is more pungent and the Oud is slightly barnyardy ( for the lack of a better adjective), kind of similar to the one found in Al-Khatt without the jasmine note of course.Alexandria III differs as well from the previously mentioned, being it more “rosy-oudy” .Except for Alexandria Orientale, I own all the others, as well as an Alexandria II attar. All I can say is each and everyone of them is magnificent .
Sprayed a sample of this 1 month ago, just smelled my top I wore on that day and it's still there!!!! Amazing, but it's too linear for me. I did get people staring and complimenting me. Even sniffing the air to find where the scent is coming from
Acquired a decant of the original juice a few years back and a few weeks ago, a brand new bottle. In my opinion, it has been reformulated and is not an improvement…unfortunately. I actually sold my bottle a few days ago. But I still own a dozen Xerjoff bottles.
I have Alexandria orientale. I'm not able to analyze notes in a fragrance (I have a ton of oud stars and have watched a lot of videos on oud, but I still don't really know how oud smells like) all I know is that it is a sensible fragrance and wearable to work. Almost all the oud stars I'm able to wear to work, I work in technology and also I tutor children piano as a second job) I haven't found a fragrance yet that is too pungent or too "unwearable" for social or work scenarios. I have tried to figure out why, and I can come up with four reasons: 1) I may have fragrances that are reformulated or watered down? I get most of my xerjoffs from jomashop and other online grey dealers. Maybe they sell reject xerjoffs. I dunno, but one time I bought a bottle of ivory route from Neiman Marcus and that as well smelled a bit watered down so perhaps this is not the case with this point. 2) I find that I get anosmic really easily? If this is true, it's fine then because that should mean the fragrance is still pumping out on me. 3) I may have a different definition of fragrance performance. Maybe I'm a bit more strict in the definition over those who review on TH-cam. Many youtubers will say a particular fragrance is a beast or a banger and it is "12 hour longevity with 3-4 hours of room-filling projection. Really? I find that fragrance projecting 40 mins at the most and then settles into a skin scent for another 4 hours. Maybe my projection definition is not as lax as others. 4) I may not be spraying enough. I usually only spray 2 or 3 at the most. And then a reinforcing 1 spray mid day at work. I heard others would spray fragrances 6, 7, even 10 times before work. Ok then, maybe I should do that, but then I really won't be able to go to work I'm afraid. Anyways. Just some thoughts. Nothing about this video in particular. Just thought I share as we're talking about xerjoff. My favorite brand.
Hi I think it is a sign of the times, in 80 90 I don’t remember the subject of performance coming up , they say that it is a must to comply’ how convenient, I think you have to stay on your fragrance journey until you find the ones that agree with you, it not you 😊
Nice review but I have to disagree - Alexandria III is very different from II. This is because they drop the apple and dial down the lavender, cinnamon, and pump up the oud and rose. I didn't like Alexandria II - too much green apple like a fougere. But on comparing rose oud feminine fragrances for my wife we found Alexandria III was more long lasting and profound than Fragrance du Bois Oud Rose Intense, and more elegant that MFK Oud Satin Mood, which has far too much sweet vanilla, and not as austere as Portrait of a Lady. At the end of the day Alexandria III is one of the best feminine rose ouds on the market. But if you are into Xerjoff and like Oud, the XJ Attars are the only way to go. Warda Al Oud, King Masarat, Black Sugar, and Java Blossom put most of the Oud Stars collection to shame.
I'll have to respectfully disagree. While my nose has grown since I last wore this a couple years ago, the Oud definitely has presence and is definitely kicked up from A2. I have a better appreciation for it today than when I first smelled it. It's very, very well done.
Well done review ! You'll get the predominant oud punch with ALEXANDRIA Imperial flanker. All you expected from AO is in AI .
Hahahahah I know right I missed it by 1!
I was looking forward to this for a long time. Good review. Thanks.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Will look into it
Just got this in today. Can't wait to try it out

Thx for the review. I agree it’s very close to A2. Just love it
Awesome review. I love Alexandria II & really appreciate Imperiale. I would have expected major incense and Oud in this one
I’m excited to try Imperiale then!

Like I said, dropping the apple for example didn’t make me feel like making a whole review on the fragrance. Glad you and your wife like 3 though :)

Didn’t say it wasn’t, but it’s still not what I expected… maybe Imperiale has the answer.
Alexandria Orientale is a much more darker fragrance than Alex II
What would you prefer more? tony iommi or alexandria ii
Alexandria 2. Tony iomi doesn't smell xerjoffy to me. It also reminds me of a lot of mall but higher end type frags you'd typically smell.
Since I got this I’ve basically lost interest in all my other oud fragrances. This is in my top three colognes of all time
Guys
FragranceBuy.ca has Alexandria Orientale in stock discounted right now. And Alexandria III is available there for a very discounted price.
