The reason Tsunade is the only Senju we know of in the present day (and she doesn't even use the name Senju) is because, when Konoha was founded, Hashirama decided the village is more important than any one clan, so the Senju disbanded and disseminated into the other clans of the Leaf to make every other clan more powerful. The Hyuuga and the Uchiha remained insular and largely kept to their own, but the rest of the clans in Konoha had Senju marry into them, rooting them together within the village.
