Just to add, I've seen volatiles spawn rarely in pursuit level 3 stage, maybe once every two or three waves. Also, they're only also the base volatile. I've been abusing a meat grinder and I've been beating up a ton of volatiles, and at level 4, you can not break off the chase unless you get to a safe zone, which is good to know. On a completely unrelated note, virals and volatiles still spawn while zombies are fleeing, meaning you can kill them as they spawn, for some easy items. If you have enough damage, you can kill volatiles by attacking them when they crawl out, and then using a UV flare to force their "recoil" animation and/or ranged attacks to kill them as they run. Also, when volatiles are running away due to the daybreak, at either exactly 6 or 7 am, if you hit them enough, they will reaggro and pounce you. I fired a few arrows at a fleeing volatile, and one of them stopped, turned, and screamer "fuck off" in Volatile language before pouncing on me, at chase level 4. Good advice for anyone trying to farm. I've grinded out thousands of gold and gotten maxed out unique for one upgrade, and close to unique for two others, and it is worth it. If you want, I can share my grinding location to hit survivor rank 4 and level 10 (as of now) in combat. I've hit level 10 in parkour, and this is a side effect of chase level 4 not breaking off when out of sight, all you need to do is rack up level 4 and then find a secluded area which isn't a safe area and an entrance guarded by UV light, and you can do it easy. I didn't even realise the revenant could do anything you said cuz I killed him with a bow that I got for sale from the bazaar trader lmao. I don't think a Charger is necessary since you have the Demolisher which has a charging attack and the Corruptor sounds like the Revenant since he has that ability to enhance zombies or they could be one off boss fights that haven't been mentioned yet.
I would love too see a DL3 where the volatiles have evolved to be able to go in daylight and its a last stand type game based in villedor and you have to eradicate volatile hives in order to control the spread of them before they take the city.
This would actually be really awesome. Would be cool if there was a set number of survivors in the city and such, and when you lose a safe haven, all the survivor's in it die. You can get more survivors by upgrading settlements and reclaiming safe zones. Kind of like Fallout 4 mixed with Dying Light.
So in dying light lore it said that infected are still human but they can't controll body so...that mean if you are infected and be a biter that mean you'r decomposing alive😳
They more than likely mean the viral are humans incapable of controlling their own bodies. As far as feeding biters and other infected are cocerned their doesn't seem to be any hint of humanity in them.
According to the nightmare row book they can still think and have thoughts but they are more simple things like associating a specific person with a specific word even if they don't know what said word means
@@charleswilliam6234 And Techland has insisted over and over in the videos for DL2 that they are called "infected", they are humans suffering and infection, they just can't control themselves very much, hence one part of the metaphor for "stay human" tagline. Something I greatly appreciated was the more uniformed look between the special infected. The orange veins and pustules, the split jaw, etc. It makes sense because all these creatures were in the process of *becoming* volatiles, but something interrupted/altered that process

what if in the final boss fight you turn and thats how the zombie mode is made and you can find crates and they're full of chems that turn you to a special boi

I would be upset if I don't see a return of volatile nests. Probably they are removed from the game, but I loved them so much. The creepiness and mystery they added into the game was superb.
The amount of times I've screamed at the top of my lungs with my friends from being chased by a Volitile is already a reason that my money was well spent 😂

The volatiles in Dying Light 2 definitely seem a lot more human in appearance compared to the first appearance in Dying Light 1, where the virus had just started. I'd like to think that the Volatiles in Dying Light 1 were a lot stronger than the ones in Dying Light 2 due to the hosts being recently infected and it's body still fresh. Non the less the Volatiles in Dying Light 2 are evolved and are likely even more deadly.
The bombers can be encountered when the missiles are launched, and they'll be found in radiation areas (smokey areas that have many virals, and acts like nighttime, regardless of time of day. However it is a bit safer since there are no howlers there.). When they explode, they have a chance to attract virals.
I'm happy that the virals won't be running around in the morning time. I love the concept of virals but hated the way the game spammed them at certain points and I just kept getting blindsided by like 5 or 6 virals every 2 minutes.
I love the little life tips they give like "Brush your teeth" or "Wear your Seatbelt" like they love us so much that they give us those precious reminders with a twist. Thats why I love Techland
About the drowner. As of right now, i believe their character model is glitched. As I have seen them spawn next to mr while swimming the the flooded area, but when they do spawn, they spawn dead due to possible techland forgetting to remove the death feature from them when they interact with water. That could be the reason why. For anyone wanting to test it for themselves, try going in the flooded are and jump in the water. And there is a possibility of a drowner randomly spawning but dead.
Dude if they added a mode like l4d where a group of 4 parkourers have to make it too a certain location while 4 player controlled infected get to chase and track them would be sooo sick
looks like it Will be harder to survive in dl2 than dl1... it's like left 4 dead 2 or resident evil universe too many mutations and impossible to survive. I LIKED IT!!!!
They are great designs I just wish they didn't have those wierd neon glowing spots, in same vein as so many modern zombie games and movies give them red or yellow glowing eyes
I feel like not unlocking the drowner would be a loss in unlocking some really cool things that can be added to your weapons as we saw in 2019 that was only 1 so what if they only have very rare encounters... Long story short of I see one make sure to kill I'm sure the reward for other would be amazing
Yeah, especially with the possibility of using characteristics from other volitile varients instead of being limited to only pouncing and using UV / Horde summon spit abilities.
Great Vid 👍 very informative 👏 👏 Played the first one and was scared to go out at night. Now, all I do is go out at night doing side missions etc. As you progress along the skill tree it becomes more fun gaining more confidence.
Its cool to see the evolution of Left For Dead. I mean come on, spitters, banshees, and howlers, they're not exactly reinventing the wheel. But the way they're implementing them is awesome. And a whole ton better than Back 4 Blood. I love how almost every modern zombie game pays homage to the L4D masterpiece with these iconic trope of zombies though.
@@TheDwarfishjoe This whole game is an original idea. Combine freerun parkour mechanics with a zombie action system, throw in some surface deep RPG mechanics. It doesnt need whole new never before imagined enemy types, that's not what it's niche is. What it's niche is, is pretty unique to it, and functions well. That's what a good original idea is. Not a hamfisted attempt at reinventing the wheel for the sake of reinventing it.
Speaking of the spawn of Volatiles, I once accidentally entered a Metro Station when it was still day... nothing out of the ordinary, just some common biters and a few virals... then I mess up a jump and find out there was one volatile arround... so I rush to the exit... luckily there was a gate where I crawled under and started trowing molotovs and doing some hits to the zombies... funny enough, that's how I eliminated my first and only volatile in Dying light 2 by the moment... by exploiting a blind spot...
Also i think i should mention theres different versions of the bomber. On the bridge that leads to the main renegade fortress theres skinny boomers that can chase you like virals. Caught me off guard lol
If you run up to a howler and kill it with a real quick 1... 2 it'll still start the pursuit, doesn't have to go thru any animation or sound sequence, nope, just instant hunt...
There’s actually two varieties of bombers now The fat joggers who can’t climb and in one location there’s actually bombers that sprint and climb and their explosions summon more. That location scared the crap out of me! Also Chase levels 1:Virals 2:lots of virals 3 Virals and one volatile 4 lots of virals and multiple volatiles (also known as you’re probably f*cked) Haven’t actually seen banshees outside of the night time random encounters.
Doing a falling kick on a Howler and then killing them before they recover seems to take them out before they can scream. Although a lot of the time they seem to glitch, and will just stand there taking no damage or responding to any way in hits...but they don't scream and start a chase either even though their indicator icon turns red.

Yeah they made zombie noises but were dead. Pretty big glitch and the water is safe
I really hope the night hunter makes an appearance. Maybe as a boss?
This makes me hope for the Night Hunter Mode. We need a bit more lore on that creator.
Dude if they added a mode like l4d where a group of 4 parkourers have to make it too a certain location while 4 player controlled infected get to chase and track them would be sooo sick
In my whole play through i’ve never seen a drowned i didn’t even know they existed until i watched this youtube video.
I wonder if you could witness a human turn by somehow forcing them to stay in the dark
I want that
You can
@@brayden8472 I’ve encountered several of them already lmao
looks like it Will be harder to survive in dl2 than dl1... it's like left 4 dead 2 or resident evil universe too many mutations and impossible to survive. I LIKED IT!!!!
Imagine teasing mysterious mud covered zombies as a major consequence of your actions and not making them uv-resistant volatiles
Wait I need UV Light and shrooms to stay human. Damn talk about staying human literally. But still I’m looking forward to a challenge
The spitting zombie reminds me of left 4 dead and the bomber reminds me of the Boomer and the tank as the demolished
They are great designs I just wish they didn't have those wierd neon glowing spots, in same vein as so many modern zombie games and movies give them red or yellow glowing eyes
Bruh ….not gonna lie swimming zombies sound terrifying
hope you make a ton of dying light 2 videos after launch i missed not watching you for a long time
your video of the evolution of volatiles was amazing
I hope that there are other types of zombies that we can unlock that we don’t know of yet 😮💨
Im scraping for any dying light 2 videos to keep me occupied for the next 4 days 😂
Yeah me too or I’m trying new games, I get bored pretty quickly lol I NEED DY2
I don't really like the timer at night but still super excited
I feel like not unlocking the drowner would be a loss in unlocking some really cool things that can be added to your weapons as we saw in 2019 that was only 1 so what if they only have very rare encounters... Long story short of I see one make sure to kill I'm sure the reward for other would be amazing
The revenant part is why slimecicle should be the number one youtuber
I hope they bring back the be the zombie mode I can see it being awesome in this game
Yeah, especially with the possibility of using characteristics from other volitile varients instead of being limited to only pouncing and using UV / Horde summon spit abilities.
I reckon this might be the new co-op mode or something they might add after release for free, did the same thing is dl1
Great Vid 👍 very informative 👏 👏 Played the first one and was scared to go out at night. Now, all I do is go out at night doing side missions etc. As you progress along the skill tree it becomes more fun gaining more confidence.
Imagine if there was a secret land that all zombies are at level 250
Love the PS for the viral. Get them gains, even if you stop living for them. XD
The downers are probably part of a dlc
This is great content.Love this and LOVING this game!
Bolters in DL2 can push you out of the way. They're more passive aggressive.
Can I get the link to the website? I'd like to download the wallpapers, they are so freakin cool
Awesome video thanks dude!😎👍👍👍
Its cool to see the evolution of Left For Dead. I mean come on, spitters, banshees, and howlers, they're not exactly reinventing the wheel. But the way they're implementing them is awesome. And a whole ton better than Back 4 Blood. I love how almost every modern zombie game pays homage to the L4D masterpiece with these iconic trope of zombies though.
Back 4 blood paid homage to every Zombie movie ever made. Not like they reinvented the wheel or something, they just threw them into a game
Either that or no one has original ideas anymore...
Im pretty sure the volatile saying it’s chest clenches so you can’t deal the fatal blow means that it opens and holds on to you so you can’t move
imagine volatiles but to attack you they grab you then drop you and sneeze so hard it sends you flying
8:43 We know the new Toad is just called the Spitter. It's mentioned in the Pilgrim's Guide.
This and then Sons of the Forest and Outlast Trials later this year could be a great year for horror gaming
I wish the banshies, GRE anomaly’s were roaming about, like an uncommon enemy to make the game more challenging and fun, but that’s me thoe.
Just hearing about all these zombies. it’s making me think this game is going be 100 times harder than the first game lol
I immediately knew that the video of the bolter was slimecicle’s just because of the fact that he was throwing coins at the bolter
Early expectations of the Drowners: Cunning zombies attacking by surprise from bodies of water
What we got: Parkouring bombers
I come from the future when the full game is released. The volatiles come out at pursuit level three and four just wanted to get that out there
I've been looking at the countdown on my ps5 and absolutely itching to play this game.
I'm glad volatiles are still the Apex of the family 🤗
Speaking of the spawn of Volatiles, I once accidentally entered a Metro Station when it was still day... nothing out of the ordinary, just some common biters and a few virals... then I mess up a jump and find out there was one volatile arround... so I rush to the exit... luckily there was a gate where I crawled under and started trowing molotovs and doing some hits to the zombies... funny enough, that's how I eliminated my first and only volatile in Dying light 2 by the moment... by exploiting a blind spot...
Ive finished the game now, and i didnt know banshees or drowners existed lol.
And i think i only saw one or 2 volatiles
Also i think i should mention theres different versions of the bomber.
On the bridge that leads to the main renegade fortress theres skinny boomers that can chase you like virals.
Caught me off guard lol
@@Bzerka333 Those are the drowners.
Ddid not expect him to bring up slimecicle but that was a nice little thing
What if the final boss was crane and ur both zombies that would be awsome
banshee is like the hunter in l4d
You can take them out silently but you’ve got to be crouched and behind them for the Howells
The Revenant is kind of a combination of the Revenant and the Archvile from Doom.
If you run up to a howler and kill it with a real quick 1... 2 it'll still start the pursuit, doesn't have to go thru any animation or sound sequence, nope, just instant hunt...
i cannot wait for this game it looks amazing i really love the new zombie variants
I can’t wait for DL2, pretty sure it’s coming out tomorrow
There’s actually two varieties of bombers now
The fat joggers who can’t climb and in one location there’s actually bombers that sprint and climb and their explosions summon more.
That location scared the crap out of me!
Also
Chase levels
1:Virals
2:lots of virals
3 Virals and one volatile
4 lots of virals and multiple volatiles (also known as you’re probably f*cked)
Haven’t actually seen banshees outside of the night time random encounters.
Doing a falling kick on a Howler and then killing them before they recover seems to take them out before they can scream. Although a lot of the time they seem to glitch, and will just stand there taking no damage or responding to any way in hits...but they don't scream and start a chase either even though their indicator icon turns red.
It's a bit buggy for them at the moment and they mainly need to be one-shot to not scream but still bug sometimes
