Just for some background: the mask that Soojin gives to Soyeon at the beginning of "Latata" is what Soojin wore as a background dancer/character in Soyeon's solo videos before (G)-Idle's debut.
(G)I-DLE have become one of my favorite groups almost instantly. Great songs, great visuals, great MVs and they're incredibly entertaining. As another commenter pointed out, their Secret Folder videos are hilarious.

I'm so glad you love them. When the cameras are rolling and the music is on they just eat up the stage with so much intensity. I only learned about them 2 months ago but they quickly shot up to be my 2nd favorite behind Dreamcatcher. Soyeon is an impressive songwriter, not just for G-IDLE but she also wrote the song "No" for CLC.
It´s exatctly the other way around for me :D found out about dreamcatcher a couple of weeks before and they slowly starting to be my secound favourite gg in k-pop ;) But (G)i-dle stays on top for me, but Dystopia was on of the best Albums ive heard in k-pop for sure!

After I watched the MV I thought for sure G-idle was somehow a famous established group I simply didn't know about. Imagine my surprise to find out they were rookies. It was then and there I knew they were going to be the next gg to take over the world, I still believe it. They aren't my ults, but their talent is undeniable imo. (And they have some of my favorite vocal colors too!)
Yeah this girls slayed the stage from day one! So many people got confused that this group was a rookie group😅 Soyeon and Miyeon brought me into K-pop with K/DA form Leauge of Legends and got me curious with Latata and slayed me with HANN. Now they are my ult group! What is ur ult group?

Her vocals are extremely strong, too, evidenced on the b-sides Oh, and she wrote the song that got CLC their first win. HUGE talent
I feel like she's one of those once in a generation talents like G-Dragon. Someone mentioned having Soyeon & Soojin is like having CL and Hyuna on the same team which is already OP. But then Minnie has that very unique indie-singer type voice, Yuqi has that rare deep soulful voice, and Miyeon has a powerful r&b style voice, so it's no wonder their overflowing talent stands out in an oversaturated industry.

I hope this upcoming comeback has Hann vibes because I think that's their best songs. It's probably in my top 5 favorite kpop song in general, everytime I hear it I feel engrossed. While I enjoyed the songs they released in 2019 I felt Hann was just on another level, Lion came close but man i still have dreams about Hann after all this time.
it's a bit darker so i'm hoping for some Lion vibes, i literally have 2 hour version of that song on my playlist xD, but whether it's hann, lion or something completely new, i know it will be amazing, they haven't had a bad song, Soyeon just doesn't make bad songs xD

I hope this upcoming comeback has Hann vibes because I think that's their best songs. It's probably in my top 5 favorite kpop song in general, everytime I hear it I feel engrossed. While I enjoyed the songs they released in 2019 I felt Hann was just on another level, Lion came close but man i still have dreams about Hann after all this time.
it's a bit darker so i'm hoping for some Lion vibes, i literally have 2 hour version of that song on my playlist xD, but whether it's hann, lion or something completely new, i know it will be amazing, they haven't had a bad song, Soyeon just doesn't make bad songs xD
