    I recently bought 2 of the Echo Dots and already I've found it useful, especially when I'm cooking. Also, I love that it can pick up where I left off on my audiobook. I'm looking forward to you making more of these videos. I've already learned some useful commands from this one.

      Thanks so much! Yes, they are very usefuland my only problem with playing audiobooks on it is that I am always moving around since I have a toddler to chase after. But when I can, I love that feature too. Have you tried using it for Kindle books? sometimes Kindle books are cheaper than audio books even though the voice isn't as great.

      @@LiveAccessible Right now I have 2 of the Echo Dots paired together (so I get stereo sound when I listen to music on it) on a small table in my kitchen. I have Audible going on them while cooking and the like. I haven't tried using them for just the Kindle voice though. I will have to give that a try with one of the e-books I've already read to see how it sounds.

    Love hearing about how other folks use smart home devices. :) We have three each of the Google Home Minis as well as three Echo Dots active in our home right now, and I use them all every day. The Google Home has much stronger search skills than Alexa does, and also works better with my Spotify subscription, podcasts, and playlists. However, bossing Alexa around at the the things she does well is smoother than with the Google Home.

      That's great! There's a lot of things that they can do. And each one has their strengths. Thanks for your comment!
      Little question, with multiple Alexa's, they kind of know or at least try to answer with the echo that is closest to you. Does the Google home mini do the same? Or do all of them answer at the same time?

    What are the best skills related to visual impairment for Alexa?

    • @LiveAccessible
      @LiveAccessible  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Being able to call Uber and I also use the Allrecipes skill. But the best part of Alexa is that whatever skill it is or built in command,it's all done verbally and the feedback is audio so pretty much everything is extremely accessible.

    I love my Echo. I have to admit though I don't use it for all too much just yet. But I do utilize it. The games are also very fun.
    I did not know that you were from the Philippines. That's awesome I did not tell you but my son is half Filipino. His mom and I met when she first came to this country when she was 18. We now have a very handsome 14 year old boy. He's a definite Ladies Man. I'm sure your son will be too. Small world. Well I will leave this comment by saying salamat po.

      Haha. Thanks Vincent! We love our echo and she can do so so much! We just talk to her all day. And that's awesome. Do you ever like filipino food?

    • @myvisuallyimpairedlife5674
      @myvisuallyimpairedlife5674 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LiveAccessible oh my God yes. I absolutely love Filipino food. I love everything pretty much other than when you walk in the house and smell fish being fried. It stinks so bad. LOL
      My favorite is pain seat. I don't know if speech-to-text spelled it correctly but I think you'll understand what I'm talking about. I also love adobo. I even like the pork fat.
      I'm Italian so I grew up eating pasta and Greek Foods. So Filipino food was a big change but a good one. I know this isn't Filipino but my son loves and eats egg drop soup all of the time. That and he loves his rice. We used to go to a lot of Filipino fundraisers and I would get so excited because there was so much free food.
      My all-time favorite thing to eat from the Philippines is banana sauce. I eat it with everything.
